Easy five stars -- let me tell you, they earned it, from the moment we walked in the door until we paid our check and went on our way. Tried (hard) to find fault with something and couldn't.
Our thoughts:
RESERVATION. Make one; though they were empty when we arrived at opening (1900), I'm guessing they are packed during the summer. We made our reservation via email -- prompt response confirming the reservation was received.
SERVICE. Absolutely impeccable. If anything, they could be accused of being over-attentive, but I'm okay with that. Friendly, great sense of humor with the kids, and professional.
FOOD. Amazing. Sat down to a small appetizer provided by the chef .. ordered a lovely bottle of vinho verde and started the difficult process of choosing our meals. We ordered around the menu .. tomato soup, grilled tuna, pasta dishes .. hubby and I had the tagliatelle with shrimp and it was to die for.
DESSERT. Son ordered the lemon crème brulee .. it was pretty wow. A plate of tiny nibbles was brought out from the chef, all of which were very good. Loved the pear sorbet in the tiny chocolate cups .. really nice touch.
(PRO TIP: If you plan on ordering the chocolate cake, be sure and tell them when you order your dinner -- daughter wanted this, but we didn't want to sit the 25 minutes it would have taken for them to make it. Nothing to complain about, but wanted to offer up that tip for those of you who may want to take advantage. I have no doubt it was likely divine!)
Highly recommend Vivendos -- we will be back again on our next trip to Lagos! Thank you for a lovely evening! read more
