The room was nice, spa, nice shower, large bed. the bed were antique but hard to sleep on, the spa were noisy when the bubbles/jets were running. it seem sad to me because they clearly went through a lot of work to make the rooms nice and welcoming, but skimped on the expenses to a nice mattress and the spa. if you come here you have to experience the tour of the castle. the guide is brilliant, both a great entertainer and extremely knowledgeable about both danish history and the local and castle history. five clear stars for Niels Ewald in short its one of the best restaurant experiences i have ever had, both service and feed but the accommodation fall short, my review therefore are concentrated on the restaurant and the score are solely for the restaurant and the tour .

Food is definitely on the higher price point, but is so worth it!! We got their burger and fries and it was the best burger and fries we think we've ever had. Their ketchup is so good. They serve dishes typical for most Danish main stream restaurants. Especially the pariserbøf (no English translation) is worth trying. Pariserbøf is open sandwich with fried steak tartare.
