While visiting my company's office in Geneva, the manager selected this place for a team dinner…read more Since he's from Lyon originally, he wanted to share that the place was having a special "game week" menu featuring traditional foods from the area. Since I'm always "game" for a new experience, I was happy to participate!
I was a little nervous because when we arrived they had just opened and there was nobody there. However, I soon relaxed and felt right at home, because service was very friendly and encouraging, but with no pressure to try the game menu. I decided to be a little bold and went for the venison medallions. I even tried some of my colleague's wild boar pate, which was good. I started with a pumpkin chestnut soup which I really enjoyed. My venison was lovely as were the accompanying sides. There was a wide variety of side dishes in small portions and I appreciated that. I paired everything with a nice local beer and it was a very nice experience.
The dessert menu is extensive and I went with an old standby, a chocolate mousse. It was absolutely incredible.
Everything was fresh and delicious, service was outstanding and I could understand that by the time we left, there wasn't an empty seat in the place. Definitely recommend the experience here. It's more than just the food!
