We came here 2x on our trip, after a couple fabulous meals in Chamonix. Pricing isn't cheap-- we spent €100 for two both nights, with one shared appetizer, bottle of wine, and two entrees. That said the food was excellent. We had (over two nights): 1. Fondue with Mushrooms: a dream come true. We ordered one serving, for both of us to share, both nights. Creamy, warming, and dreamy. A must. 2. Lamb Tenderloins: gamey with bone in. My husband loved it. 3. Filet with mushrooms: reasonable portion in a delicious creamy mushroom sauce. Savory and filling. 4. Salmon entree: omg. This dish is amazing. Best salmon with anchovy butter. Ever. Licked the plate clean both nights. Tender, crispy, and flavorful. Absolutely dreamy.

Here are a few few things we noticed: - When I made the reservation, I had seen a picture in Yelp that made it look like the outdoor seating was in a front patio but beware because that is the patio of another restaurant and the entrance to Atmosphere is next to it. While it was comfortable inside, specify the outdoor Terrace if at all possible because that is along the river and is very beautiful. - My wife ordered from one of the two fixed price menus, but I decided to order à la carte, which is definitely more expensive. - My wife started with the Alpine salad, which was very delicious. I got the French onion soup, which is supposedly one of their specialties, but I just found it average. - For a main courses, I got the beef tenderloin with seared fois gras... it was amazingly! My wife got the hotbox cheese and liked it well enough. - For her, the highlight of the meal was probably the blueberry tartlet. I got a trio of sorbets which were also very fresh and good. - Service was very very good. And the atmosphere is cozy and warm inside. I know some people like this. I do not. In such a nice restaurant the servers should be warm and welcoming not acting like robots. If this is not a problem for you then I do recommend it. Twice they asked me if I was there for lunch, and twice I responded I was just there for drinks. In both instances it was clearly confirmed as OK. We sat, they took our order and five minutes later the so-called manager waltzed in there and said no that he had to seat us somewhere else once more because he only takes lunch. So he offered to walk us to another table. He literally wanted to have us seat outside after I had been seated for minutes with my order taken, I told him no way. Then he said no deal and we just walked away. See that's the problem with monopoly, people think you will just accept whatever. We crossed the slope, literally 30 meters away there is an other place with equal food better service and pleasant staff so do yourself a favor and avoid this spot unless you like to be treated like crap. Sometimes you seriously wonder who is the customer. PS: I'm French so there was nothing lost in translation. Seriously hope folks who don't speak French were not subjected to this poor service.
