As for the steak, I've definitely have had better elsewhere. Service: The wait staff was arguing among themselves. I don't care if you're arguing in another language... it ruins the dining experience. There were many open tables when I got there, but I was told that they were all reserved and my only option was to sit at the bar. After I left, those tables were still open. Location: Conveniently located near the Wittenbergplatz subway station. I only ate here because it was close to my hotel.

Looking for a good meal (in all honesty, I was looking for anything) this was the first restaurant I saw and helped myself to an outdoor seat. This place was fairly busy for a Sunday afternoon and the lovely lady waiting my table was nothing but friendly and helpful. So I sat, soaking up the 34 degree heat, my tummy rumbling and already knowing I'd be getting a schnitzel, because it's my favorite thing to eat in Germany (along with any other meat based dish, of course). My food came out promptly, a freshly cooked piece of pork schnitzel slathered in a creamy mushroom sauce with hot and crisp fries. Also served with a garden salad. Certainly not a healthy meal and I opted not to eat the mushroom sauce because i thought it was a bit rich. My meal overall though was superb, it was everything I wanted at that moment and I was left very satisfied. Cost was reasonable and the cost of my meal and a drink was about €15. Highly recommended.

The menu is good, prices reasonable, and the food also good. Great combination. Toto, our waiter, spoke excellent English and was attentive and humorous. We had asparagus soup, Caesar salad, and a fillet. The baked potato tasted like it was boiled not baked but a small thing. Warning, they serve kangaroo, which Toto said tastes like horse. Not sure if he was serious or funny. Either way we passed. We'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, casual meal in Berlin

I went with the one more expensive business lunch option, the Huftsteak with baked potato for €7,95. The steak was super watery, maybe the most watery I've had. Definitely frozen. It wasn't well seasoned either, seriously if at. Had no real flavor to it. Was cooked well, though. Potato is a potato. Tomato soup was good, but tasted like canned soup... which it probably was. They gave some breadsticks and kind of like a garlic aioli type dip at the start is well, and while the dip was good, the bread was flavorless. All in all, it is a good price for the amount of food for the business lunch, but the taste and food quality was not good at all. Honestly, I'll probably try it again in the next week or so, and get chicken or the schnitzel, and see how those are. I want this place to be good so I can come for lunch more often... But so far it's not very impressive.
