Tried El Gallo Pinto today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was pleasant with tables that looked like something that you'd see in a Latin grandmothers kitchen. Felt very "homey." I ordered the Pollo Asado and my husband ordered a side of fried yuca to start and Carne Asada for his meal. I also just have to mention that I ordered lemonade thinking it would be something like Minute Maid. Oh no! It was fresh squeezed limeade! It was SO good! The fried yuca came out, hot and crispy. The meal portion sizes were generous and both myself and my husband enjoyed our dinner. You also have the option to get breakfast items anytime of the day. All in all we'll definitely be going back. And to all of the only English speakers out there, no worries. Multiple folks spoke English so don't let that stop you. Hope you stop by soon!

While visiting GA my brother introduced us to this place and said that their pupusas were amazing…read more I would 100% agree. The ambiance is 0 because this is in a gas station but I would absolutely eat here again. We got the chorizo + jalapeno pupusas and they were both phenomenally flavored, fresh and hot. Make sure you get the slaw too!

It is usually stuffed with one or more ingredients. These may include cheese (such as quesillo or cheese with loroco buds), chicharrón, squash, or refried beans. It is typically accompanied by curtido (a spicy cabbage slaw), and tomato salsa, and is traditionally eaten by hand, without the use of utensils. The exact origin of the pupusa has not been proven." Wikipedia (You can go ahead and hit that useful vote now) The pupusa's here are made fresh the corn meal is excellent, the cheese is delicious. The cabbage slaw is very good as well. Yummy stuff my fellow Yelpers. At about $2 apiece you can't get a better lunch under $5. On every visit I see them peeling tamarinds for the Aguas Frescas here, super fresh and delicious! Everyone at El Mana is a volunteer, with proceeds going to the construction of a church. Eat Pupusas, do good! There may be a bit of a language barrier at the counter but well worth it for what your getting, and the good you're doing! You owe me.

**This review is for their Gainesville location that opened not long ago…read more You know my love for Venezuelan food so the fact that Gainesville now has another Venezuelan food spot is a huge YES for me. They have a fun menu but my main go to is their pastelitos because they are hard to find. Call ahead like I did and get some pastelitos to go!! @don.arepacho is inside a Mobil gas station off Browns Bridge Rd in Gainesville. I've been back a few times and every items has been good, but be warned, if you order the VERGATARIA burger, make sure you're hungry AND have your stretchy pants on... that thing is NOT playing Their dining area isn't what I would call a full dine in set up, they have a few small tables in case you decide to eat there but it isn't a full DINE IN restaurant like the spot they have in Norcross. If you show up at any get together with pastelitos... everyone will love you, ask me how I know Get your order in and let me know if you can finish off that burger!!! Pictured here LA VERGATARIA - Venezuelans have always liked dressing up their burgers, so don't be surprised by this. In between the buns you'll find the following: a burger patty, grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, bacon, egg, little pepito fries, American cheese, queso de mano (soft white cheese). You're gonna have to be comfortable with getting a little messy here Pastelitos - These are Venezuelan pastelitos, my favorite. You can order a variety of types like ground beef, cheese and potato, pizza, cheese, chicken, or mini pateslitos which are AWESOME because they are a dollar each so you can grab a variety of them Steak Arepa Chicken Cachapa #rolieats #goodeats #goodfood #venezuelanfood #gainesville #northgeorgia #burgers #pastelitos #cachapas #arepas #donarepacho #latinofood #bigfan
