I am so disappointed and sad to hear about all these horrific reviews. I was a client from the day Angelo opened this place and was loyal to him for almost 15yrs before moving to Vancouver in 1994 where I now run my restaurant. This was a well know, much loved, staple business in the community. I begged him for years to give me the recipe for his Souvlaki sauce. He never gave in. I flew to Montreal and paid a visit just to see Angelo and have some pizza like the old days with him, and even knowing I lived in BC, he still wouldn't give me that dam recipe for his secret sauce. I ended up buying an entire empty 2Ltr Pepsi bottle full of that sauce and brining it back to BC with me on the flight, securely packed in a back so as to not lose a drop. Again, thank you for the many, many years of great customer service, great food, providing my wife and an awesome place to go for date nights. Sorry Angelo but these new owners are ruining your legacy. Been a client since 1984 (even before that but it was a hot dog place). The food is still good verging on okay but the big issue is with the support staff. The guys who answers the phone is apathetic and doesn't record any changes well (like no bacon, please) and doesn't care if the clients are happy or not and at least one of the delivery guys puts the card to the percentage setting so that you have to choose a pre determined tip (and then lies when you ask him to change it saying that it only tips in percentage; but one honest driver handed over the device and allowed me to choose the tip). I don't have loyalty to this business anymore. These problems are not pandemic related they are operational issues. Kinda sad but it is what it is or better to say it's not what it used to be. read more

We love Dani's! They're open late-ish, they deliver, they serve breakfast (even on delivery), and they're nearby. This is our local LaSalle go-to for GOOD pizza. It used to be VEP but they changed their sauce n cheese, so Dani's took the lead. In fact, if I'm being honest, Dani's too have changed the quality of their cheese as well, but it's still a better pie than VEP. It's not cheap. It's good and reliably so. What to get: - Dani's special pizza: real bacon chopped into large chunks scatter this pizza amd will delight any bacon lover. - Dani's special sub: best sub in the area! Imho. Again real bacon and delicious fried onion with a tangy creamy house sauce to juicify le tout. - The Cheese Salad - beautiful fresh delicious variety so filling sooooo good! - The Greek Salad - they do a pretty good job on this decent dressing and pretty tasty feta (and plenty of it!) - The fries on their own. What to avoid: - The poutine :( it sucks unfortunately and is perplexingly wierd 'cuz the fries set it up for the perfect poutine and yet...nope. Bbq sauce booo. When to order: always! We swear by this place in our hood, but full disclosure others I have suggested this place to aren't nearly as impressed as I am. Pizza seems to be a very picky individual taste. read more

Ordered the hamburger steak meal to go. It was truly awful, very thin, a very processed kind of taste, didn't even taste like hamburger. I called to ask if I could exchange it for another meal but they said no. Angelo would never have served up a meal like that....just sayin'. read more

A long time ago I used to come here and discovered my very first poutine when I went to LCCHS high school I returned back many years later and tried the pizza. I highly suggest the Danny special, which is an all dressed with onions and bacon suggestion was taken by the waiter who is a super sweet guy very attentive the pizza ask her well done you can't go wrong sin, enough and strong enough to hold all luscious ingredients. read more

Worst pizza in Montreal! I've been here for 6 years and this is the worst pizza I've ever had. I got two large vegetarian and Hawaiian pizzas. My wife and I couldn't eat more than two pieces. I've been eating at Dani's for over 10 years. I love their gyros and rice with lemon sauce. It's a definite must try!!! Their poutine sauce and cheese is very delicious but unfortunately their fries aren't that great. They taste like their frozen French fries and only recently have I've been getting them slightly undercooked, which made them a lot less tolerable to eat. Regardless though, I always come back for their yummy gyros and rice ( with lemon sauce)! read more

Now, I don't know if this was just an off night for them. But it was definitely my first and last time eating their pizza. Place has great reviews but to me, this was the worst restaurant pizza I've ever had. The dough was identical in flavour and texture to that of a frozen bake at home pizza. Cardboardy and flavourless. Not soft, chewy and tasty like it should be. If they do in fact use frozen pre-made dough, shame on them. Also there was this strange gravy smell and after taste. I was hungry and had paid for it so I ate it. But it's one of those times where, with each bite, you're thinking you hope you don't get sick! I will not be finishing the leftovers. They make a pretty unique and filling meatball sub, (not full round meatballs - more like crumbled seasoned meat). The cooked fresh mushrooms were requested on the side. They were a nice addition to the tomato based sauce. I love mushrooms. Since there is only a $1 difference between the large 14" and small 10" sub - still sizable (the small comes with fries), make sure you specify the size. The delivery order arrived with the small size plus and extra fry which was a mistake as again the large comes with fries. Upon calling to the owner to let them know they were attentive to the error and seemed to care. Due to this, I have kept the 5 star rating, as this old school establishment deserves the benefit of the doubt. It turns out they opened in 1984, so it's not 30 yet. read more

Danis is by far one of the best around town. Pizza is delicious. The Danis sub is my favorite stacked with 5 different meats. Chicken platters with potato wedges is a great choice as well. Grew up (1994) with the same Greek man making Lasalle's (possibly Montreal's) best poutine and pizza. Left Canada and returned in 2009 to find Danis still there with the same man making great fast food! Their pizza is layered with cut up pepperoni., the sauce and crust is like no other fast food place I've been to. They also must be the place that had (possible stil has) a tomato flavoured sauce for their poutine (Italian style). It tastes awsome. read more

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Lasalle. I rarely eat there. I mostly get delivery which is very fast, they have never made a mistake with my order, phone service is very friendly and the food is never disappointing! You will have to go back a few times because the chicken pita, cheeseburger (boyfriends fav), chicken platter ( the potatoes are outstanding) and poutine are excellent!
