This restaurant is part of the Artisanal Cooperative in Cheticamp, specializing in traditional Acadian food and crafts. The coop is 50 years old, and includes a restaurant and outlet for traditional crafts, such as hooked rugs and knitted items. The restaurant has just been reorganized, and is clean, airy, and beautiful. Waitresses are in traditional Acadian dress, and are eager to explain traditional foods and customs. The menu is small, and limited to traditional Acadian foods, especially fricot (a traditional stew), fish, meat pies, etc. But the food is excellent, the service is friendly, and the value cannot be beat. This was one of the best meals we had in Cape Breton. read more
