Seafood Martinique and Grilled Seafood Platter.

We stopped here while driving the Cabot trail based on a recommendation from a friend. Can't believe we couldn't find much information about this place before, because the food was amazing! We ordered the Grilled Seafood Platter which comes on rice and the Seafood Martinique (pasta). The seafood was so fresh. The seating area is like a covered patio and the views were beautiful. The atmosphere was super homey. We saw many locals. Although it was right on the Cabot trail, it was a little hard to recognize as there were no big signs. Oh - and keep in mind the portion sizes are HUGE! Would recommend to stop here if you have a chance.

    Lobster club. Delicious.

Loved every bite! Our family was on vacation in Cape Breton, and this restaurant came highly recommended. After visiting the nearby Ingonish Beach we were starving! It's a simple looking establishment from the outside. We sat by the windows. Such a great view. The staff was very friendly and even gave my kids some colouring books while we waited for our food. We ordered Lobster clubhouse, fish & chips, and a bowl of seafood chowder. The chowder was loaded with seafood. It's not the typical creamy kind, but tasty nonetheless. I absolutely loved my lobster clubhouse sandwich. Fresh tasting lobster with every bite. Huge portion with golden French fries on the side. My little ones chowed down the fish & chips and gave the thumbs up. They even got lollipops before we headed out the door. I'd recommend anyone visiting Cape Breton to have a meal here.

It's food that looks good. I'll tell you later

Don't make the mistake of ordering too much as the Seagull. It's easy to do because the portion sizes are huge and the food tastes great. I'm not one for chowder when I'm in the lower 48 states but here in Ingonish in Nova Scotia you sort of have to eat is as part of the experience. My companion and I investigated a couple places around this very small town and heard great things on Yelp about the Seagull. Situated in the edge of a bay that gives you a view of Scotland, upon arriving we sat on the enclosed deck. I ordered the Ingonish chowder, which comes in a legit-size soap bowl and Fish and Chips. The Chowder was good, although a little bland. Nevertheless, it was packed with seafood, enough for it to be a meal on its own. Later, the Fish and Chips arrived. Unless you're starving, get one battered haddock not two for a couple dollars more. It's a bargain but you'll never finish it. It's just too damn much food. The fish was well batter, the outside was hot and crispy and the fish was moist and solid. I can eat a ton of fries; they give me two tons. It can get pricey if you over do it, but you won't leave hungry.

Ate here during our two days in Ingonish No breakfast served was disappointing but overall had some decent food. Club sandwich made with real turkey was solid, the wife had the Lobster BLT sandwich which had huge pieces of real lobster in it, hard to beat that. Mussels were fresh and inexpensive. Lots of other patrons ordering full lobster dinner for under $20, its a good value and the restaurant has a great view of the water Took a star away for the dreadful frozen fries though

Lobster Club Sandwich. When they say 'everything is better with bacon, they're right.

We have been enjoying lobster rolls from one end of the Maritimes to the other. The one here stands tall. Big chunks of lobster one just a touch of mayo on a good roll. I decided to be brave and ordered for myself the lobster club sandwich. Who would think to inject bacon into a lobster sandwich? A genius! The place was busy, but the service was efficient. But I have to give a shout out to the owner's granddaughter, Brandi for taking time out from working the till to use her pickup to winch our campervan out of a bad parking job. Great food and people worth supporting.

Thank you Yelp! Found this spot while driving on the Cabot Trail searching for a lobster roll sandwich and did a U turn to get back to it because everyone had great reviews. Great food, friendly staff and amazing view from enclosed porch.

Not impressed. The chowder is watered down with not much taste. Mussels are dry. The only positive side is perhaps the generous portion.
