The food itself is great, the rotisserie chicken was delicious and super flavorful, the creole fries that went with were really heavy and almost like a guilty pleasure. They had nacho cheese, pickled onions and jalapeños and were plenty to share. The Mac and cheese was really good and simple, as were the Mac and cheese fritters which I would definitely recommend. The portions are quite big so it is definitely a good idea to share most things. The service was not great, they were friendly but very very slow, and we had to keep asking for plates when the food came, water, to order... snd there's only about four or five tables.

I loved the concept and the execution, from the raw hamachi to the skewers of fish, to a soup to be eaten on a tortilla-like bread. Each morsel delicious. Drinks were simple but well prepared with great ingredients. Price is not cheap but definitely the food quality makes it worth every penny.

Quality was great and the variety was more than enough. They put a lot of energy into desserts, so as always, dont forget to leave some room for it! I like the concept and their casual style to present the food. I would sum it up as one of the better brunches in Stockholm atm. How good? Its up to you to decide...

I only had 12% battery on my phone and I had no idea where to eat, so I just searched restaurants in the area on Google maps and Smak came up. I immediately walked to the spot and hoped they had room for me. And they did! I was so pleasantly surprised. The server explained how everything worked: all the plates are small/tapas style and represent certain, so you pick how many courses you want (3, 5,7) . Around 3 of the plates represented 1 main course dish. On my first visit, I went with 3 dishes, but was still hungry; the next visit, I did 5 and I was very satisfied, so I suggest doing 5. My favorite dishes/flavors include WASABI ("Kosho" sea bream, cantalope, tomato); CHILI ("Steak Tartare" sirloin, leek, kohlrabi); ASH ("Sous Vide" cod, leek, cream); GREEN CURRY ("Glaze" porkbelly, broccoli, sesame); ALMNÄS TEGEL ("Crisp" chanterelle, venison, rye bread); THYME ("Carpaccio" sirloin, foie gras, brioche). As for the desserts, I loved LICORICE ("Sorbet" raspberry, caramel, white chocolate); SEA BUCKTHORN ("Foam" milk chocolate, star anise); BLUEBERRY ("Tartelett" browned butter, cream, vanilla). Everything was excellent and I wish this place had a location closer to me so I could go all the time. Oh well, I'll just have to return to Stockholm again so I can come back. :)

I had a bowl of the fish stew, which came with a side of cream that was like sour cream. I watched some other gentlemen take a spoonful and put it in their soup and eat it. That fish stew was hearty and delicious. They also serve organic beers here and I had a Stockholm Organic Lager, which tasted like a German Pilsner. It's not a huge place, and when we got there, the tables at ground level were full. They have outside seating, but seeing how this was early January, we didn't want to eat outside, even though it is covered (but still a bit open). They have these "stadium-style" seats with little tables, though, and we climbed up there. They have everything partially made, and when you order, they put it together. There were only two people I could see handling it, but service was great. Some of the best food I ate all trip.

Meatballs are not on the menu but she said they always have them. Biff Rydberg was my favorite, its a nice beef (maybe tenderloin) cut up with grilled onions and some kind of horseradish on the side, comes with diced potatoes. Other items we tried were the hash browns, and the Wallenbergare (Veal cutlet). To Black/African nationals BEWARE of the race discrimination by the Head Waitress…read more I am of African-American descent. On August 11, 2024, on my last day touring Stockholm, I approached the restaurant at 6:50 pm after a brief rain shower. The weather was hot prior to the rain shower. After the rain shower, the temperature became slightly chilly. I chose to eat inside. Upon arrival, a young, (20ish) Turkish/Muslim, waiter greeted me. He offered me a table outside. I declined for a table inside. I was instructed to see the Head Waitress "Oosa" [pronunciation] of her first name-spelling unclear]. "Oosa," late 40's, early 50 ish, appeared to be of Muslim descent, approached me. "Oosa" said she was too busy to serve me despite seeing several, single, tables available and open. "Oosa" turned me away. The restaurant inside was busy with open single table. I went across the street to the park. I watched white and Asian patrons approach and enter the restaurant after me. At approx. 7:05pm, I decided to book a table on the restaurant's website. My table was booked at 7:15pm on the same day. The restaurant's online booking had many open slots that day. I reapproached the male waiter. "Oosa" came outside to serve a group of white diners. I then approached "Oosa" showing her my online confirmed reservation. At this point, "Oosa" conceded to let me into the restaurant without incident. I was professionally served by a white, male, waiter who was working inside the restaurant. "Oosa" had 2 white, male, waiters working inside the restaurant. She wasn't over burdened as she tried to proclaim. The Swedish cuisine was excellent. The treatment I received from both male waiters was professional and non-discriminatory. Fast forward: September 14, 2024 I contacted the restaurant. I spoke to "Oosa." She explained she was born in Turkey. She would never discriminate against black people. "Oosa" then said I was turned away because they had too many online reservations. The restaurant was fully booked. I told "Oosa" this is NOT true. I told her I booked an open, online, reservation in order to enter the restaurant shortly after she decline me entry. She could not explain why she admitted white and Asian diners after me with many single tables open and available during the entire 90 minutes I dined in the restaurant. I have formally filed a Race Discrimination complaint against this restaurant and "Oosa" to the Equality Ombudsman (DO) of Sweden who investigate complaints of discrimination. BEWARE Black and African descent people (ethnic people of color) BEWARE of the Head Waitress ("Oosa's") reverse-racist, discriminatory practices. If you are turned away, do an ONLINE booking. She can not turn you away. If she does, refer to https://www.do.se/choose-language/english or call the local police for assistance. Put "Oosa" on public display in front of diners demanding the exercise of your civil rights.
