Reasonable priced, and clean. A little hard to find the parking lot, but very secure.read more

Upon getting out of my vehicle, I was greeted by a pair of dirty panties in the parking lot, and shady people loitered about the premises. The building itself appeared to have once been a classier place, as there is a restaurant on the property that has since closed. The check-in process was very slow and the person behind the front desk seemed unmotivated and there was a slow-moving queue to check in. Overall, the lobby appeared to be in acceptable shape but the hallways and elevators are jaded. There appears to be a high level of security here as the corridors have a generous number of security cameras installed. My room, a single-king, had furnishings in good repair, an HVAC system that was clean, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and even had a smart TV in it. Although there is acceptable WiFi, I could not get the Smart TV to connect to it. The bathroom had a lighted mirror and a jacuzzi tub which I did not use but the shower water pressure was good. However, the room ceilings were stained and overall the room felt dingy. My room had a balcony but the views were of the filthy premises and a swimming pool that seems to have been out-of-service for some time and now looks like a cesspool. The walls of this Quality Inn are quite thin and the rooms were not well sound-proofed, as I could near intimate noises coming from the neighboring rooms while I was in the hallway. There is a decent breakfast served in the morning, with cheese omelets, waffles, toast, pastries, and cereal. Overall, it seems that this Quality Inn has seen its glory days past and is a hotel that is in decline. There is certainly room for improvement, and I would be hesitant to come back for another evening if given the opportunity to spend another evening here.

It was on a main road and i thought the traffic noise would be a problem but it wasn't. What was a problem was the room next door. It wasn't a guess room the family that owns the place lives in it. All day long all you heard was the door being slammed over & over. It was so bad the wall would shake. Not something you wanna hear all the time after you worked a 12 hours shift. Room looked clean but floors seemed like they hadn't been mopped in forever. Also they need to upgrade there mini fride ASAP!!!! Now the worst part in the room was the metal based beds. Every time you moved the bed squeaked or made a really loud banging sound!!! Needles to say we didn't get much sleep. The room was a nice size but they have the beds place way to close to the bathroom area. Also the TV sucks, it had like 10 channels. Key point the motel is located on a hill and has a really crazy uneven lay out. If you're disabled that would be a problem.

I like a thicker pillow to support my head, and these just were not cutting it. Really, the hotel is not a bad place. It's a bit old and run-down, but it is clean and usable. Food in the local area seems to be nothing but Tex-Mex, and you are going to have to drive a ways (and deal with the horrendous traffic lights of Tyler) to find any sort of variety.

Everything worked. Quiet, day & night. Hospital House is on n the medical district. Close enough for me to get to Christus Trinity Mother Frances - at the door to my son's room in 5 minutes. The office staff is caring & worked with me when I wanted to extend my stay. So pleased

This is an...interesting place…read more My mother and I stayed here for an overnight as my dad was in the hospital, which is less than a block away. I called this "Your Aunt's House", meaning when you're on a road trip and you have to stay at your aunt's house, this would be that place. Furniture is a bit mismatched and older (think 70s and 80s), and the curtains and carpet have seen better days. However, it had everything that we needed (including dishes, pots, towels, etc) for our stay. The price is certainly a blessing. We got two adjoining rooms (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one kitchenette and one living area) for $110 for one night; you'd be hard pressed to find that same amount of square footage for a better rate at a chain hotel. Between these two rooms there were two double beds, a rollaway bed and a couch, so we could have probably crammed as many as five or six in this room. The beds and couch aren't the most comfortable, so I probably wouldn't push it, though. TVs in the both rooms featured cable channels and WiFi was available. The lady that checked us in was helpful and efficient, so no complaints there. The place is what it is, and if I found myself in the position of having a loved one in the next door hospital for an overnight, I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.
