Man, was I happy to find Palestine RV Park! It's a fairly small park tucked away in the trees, with many long-term residents. However, they also cater to short term stays. I had my trailer there for four days. The sites are huge, with 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer. Roads in and around the park are asphalt paved, but the sites are unpaved, and it's fine sand that gets in EVERYTHING, so be sure to bring some doormats or something. The park is quiet (park rules say that quiet hours are from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, lol) and pitch dark at night, but there are pole lamps at the sites that you can plug in and use if you need additional lighting. Angela, the owner, met me at the gate in her UTV and led me directly to my site, where she did the paperwork and payment, then offered to help me set up my trailer! There's a nice laundry and shower building near the entrance. The park has controlled access with keypads and a gate controller, and you can come and go as you please. Everyone I encountered there was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again! p.s. Be sure to look for Bigfoot when you're there! ;-)

There is a small store that carry essentials so no need to drive to town if you just need basics. My son loved the indoor year round spa. There is also an indoor pool, which is not heated but we were able to swim during some pretty cool temps and months. There is a stocked pond, we enjoyed fishing many times. There is a banquet from available for private rental. It has a pool table which we really enjoyed when the weather was too cool to be outside. The laundry room is large, with many machines so you never have to wait to use them. Finally, the bathrooms are AMAZING- truly, the shower/restroom are overly generous in size, and offer full privacy. Real locking doors, not just shower curtains or stalls but real private and always clean and stocked With paper products. We stayed much longer than we had planned simply because we enjoyed everything about this park.

I felt totally safe there and that made the high price worth it. They also had more amenities than other RV parks including a super clean laundry room, swimming pool and showers. There were two or three additional buildings in excellent condition for group meetings, etc. They have a once a month group event. It was a barbecue pot-luck in July and an ice-cream social in August. My only real complaint was that the free internet was totally lame. They offered a paid version, but I didn't try it so I can't say about that. However, at the prices they charge, I thought the free version should have been better.

They have a good assortment of kayaks available. We do not own our own kayaks or have a truck, so this gives us more freedom to enjoy nature from the water. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Communications with LaQuita and staff in the office to set up our first 2-month stay were great. They were so kind and helpful throughout our October and November stay. The assigned spot, 97, was large and drained well when raining, with ample room for both our big 5th wheel and dually truck. The park is quiet, well kept, and friendly. The voltage at our site was strong and stayed in the safe zone even during warmer days. We were so happy to see our Verizon signal was 5 bars of 5G for streaming. LaQuita suggested a great mobile RV repair guy to use when we had a couple needed repairs. There is a Camping World only a few hundred yards down the highway. The stay all went smooth. When it came time to leave, we rented one of the secured, covered and powered (to keep batteries charged) storage slots next door and backed our 5ver in it, protected till we come back again.
