I'm obsessed with Buc-ee's! It's a must-stop if you're in Texas. It's a massive travel center, with…read moresome locations having over 100 pumps. They've even expanded beyond Texas to places like Tennessee and Northern Virginia. Everything is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. This particular location is on the smaller side, so I can't even imagine how huge the larger locations are. There's a wide variety of souvenirs from apparel and home goods to even pet items. Towards the back, you'll find a deli, a wall of specialty beef jerky, tons of snacks, plus brisket sandwiches and desserts, including fudge. We ended up spending a good amount of time here before getting back on the road. You can sample the jerky. I really liked the Honey Jalapeño and Maple Cherry (on the sweeter side). And don't leave without grabbing the beaver nuggets!

We're continuing to hit up the Buc-ee's in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and this one was the first of…read morethe day. If you've been to a Buc-ee's, then you're familiar with how it works. It's close to the highway with easy access. There's a hundred gas pumps. There are multiple entrances to the store. Even at 1pm on a weekday, it was BUSY! Inside, there's that Buc-ee's smell that hits you hard. Candied nuts and fresh brisket. And all the other stuff you can see - jerky and fudge and soda fountains and Icees and a wall of candy. It's practically a ritual. Of course, we had to stop to visit the restrooms. Mrs. K. confirmed that the ladies side was excellent and I could see that the men's side was clean. I love the red/green lights to let you know which stalls are available or not. In addition to the fridge magnet, Mrs. K. added a BUC-EE'S ballcap to the collection along with two bags of the caramel drizzled Beaver Nuggets. Friendly service and everything else about it, just the way it is everywhere else. Awesome. [Review 404 of 2026 - 713 in Texas - 25587 overall]

I stood by the register as all the employees I saw ignored me not a hello, welcome or anything I stood at the register for 20 minutes. I would've rated 1 star however Jordan was a very good & kind employee who helped me out as soon as He has seen me. He was helping customers, taking care of the lot & doing his job very well. My biggest complaint is with the lady with brown hair who wasted time with the employee off the clock & took a smoke break in the time jordan was doing her job. She also failed to greet or address anyone entering on the truck side while she was behind the counter. I will be skipping this pilot next time I see it.

08APR24 ~ With me it normally comes down to people. Please fix your equipment & hire better…read morepeople. I had just driven through several hours of torrential downpours & high winds, so I did not need the bad attitude of the cashier. I usually pay at the pump, so I do not have to go inside to pay for the gas, & I get a receipt at the pump. This was especially important on this occasion as it was pouring cats & dogs. The printer was not working... Bummer! I was drenched when I got inside. I went to the cashier to get a copy of my receipt. I told her that it would be nice if the printers worked. She completely ignored me. I told her why it was important to have the printers working so I would not be drenched as I was then. She just rolled her eyes tilted her head and looked at me like I was from Mars. I told her what pump it was, and she asked, "How much was it?" I told her that I did not know how much it was. She said that she needed to know how much it was. I told her I was not going out to the pump in the rain to find out. So she scoffed at me and did nothing. I told her that I pumped 5.01 gallons (I do keep up with my gas millage). She said gallons did not matter. I told her again it was pump #5. She was livid at this point. She printed out a receipt, which thankfully was the correct receipt, and slammed it down on the counter. I left, getting even more drenched going back out to my vehicle. In all fairness, as I decompress, as I was leaving the store a male employee, articulate & helpful, offered me a large trash bag to use as a raincoat but I declined. The pump area was spacious, clean, and well organized. The store interior had organized & with stocked shelves with just about everything you might need on a road trip. However, on that night, all I needed was a pump with a printer that worked & a cashier not to throw a bad attitude my way. This review was two stars instead of one star because of the guy that kindly offered me the pseudo raincoat.

Also I love that TAs have a driver lounge available. Game room wasn't much but I could have used it for my workout/yoga. Showers were clean and well ventilated. Overall it was a nice rest and with the incoming storms we felt very thankful to be parked and safe. Wanted to give a shoutout to Aaron at the Pizza Hut. He was alone and pumping out the pizzas and pastas for the drivers. It was later in the evening and he must have been tired but he was a real trooper! Thank you Aaron! Thanks to the staff for being professional with one exception. The young lady doing the trash gathering for Subway and Pizza Hut - please don't critique employees while customers are present. It is unprofessional and unfair to someone who is doing their very best! I was definitely NOT waiting over half an hour for my pasta dish. I ordered at 8:57 pm and was back in our truck on the other side of the HUGE parking lot second to last row at 9:19 pm eating it.... So please have the facts.
