This business must go out of business. No respect for students and parents. Most importantly no respect on the time the instructor promised. No notice of cancellation of the class and no information of changing the class address. Lots of canceled classes and have to make up and even make up class he does not show up without notice. We asked for a refund, the instructor threaten us to cancel the permit which my child got the permit. I see that we are not the only one who got insulted by him. I wish I can give zero stars. The owner Brian got away with $674. My son never attended a single session. I was interested in this company because I received emails about it since 2023 through my son's high school, LT. I finally booked my son in February of 2025. Within hours I emailed back cancelling after reading so many horrid reviews. I didn't feel comfortable. I unfortunately did not do my research first. Because I didn't receive any communication, I went through my bank to reverse the purchase. My bank marked it as fraud and opened a claim. That part I was not aware of. I received back a temporary credit of $674. A month goes by and that $674 is gone again. The temporary credit was removed, just in time when rent was due. My bank couldn't recover my money because i authorized this payment online, which I did I just wanted my refund. I contacted Brian to get my refund back and offered to pay the $200 cancellation fee and he refused. He kept calling me a liar and said because I went through my bank in the first place that is why he is refusing to return my now $474. The financial hardship of losing this amount took me under a very dark cloud and I'm still struggling mentally to work harder to replace the funds. I couldn't afford this in the first place, I don't understand why LT high school allows parents to receive emails from this company. As if they are affiliated with him. Also while I cancelled I was still receiving emails about classes/sessions on Sundays, every single session in March alone was cancelled the day before due to various reasons. There is no organization or professionalism from this person Brian. He's not a man in my eyes. He bullies women out of their money. This is the worst business in the state of IL. I don't even know where to start. He's late 90% of the time, he makes you stop at fast food places to get food during your scheduled driving time. The cars he uses to teach people how to drive are not safe at all. They are also built with dual controls- on the passenger side of the car it has a steering wheel and pedals as well. At one point in time he took control of the car while I was driving, he didn't tell me he was gonna take control and there was no reason for him to take control other than I missed a turn he told me to take way to late. At another point in time he was 30 minutes late and showed up high out of his mind. His pupils were bigger than a full moon, when he picked me up this time he had my drive towns over to a Thortons gas station. (there's not a single one close to me) When we got there he ran into the gas station to buy liters of water, scratch offs, lottery tickets, and mcdonald's. He came back to the car, put the stuff he just bought in it and then turned around and opened the passenger side door to a black pick up truck that pulled into the spot next to us. When he reached in there he put cash on the seat and grabbed a little baggy from under the seat. Take the information as you want but it's pretty clear what he was doing. First, Byan the owner of the hinsdale responsible driver is very, very rude! When I text him asking for the cancellation of my daughter's lessons on the same day the lesson is scheduled, he called me back and saying his car was in the shop waiting for parts for seven days. I asked him why we are being notified at the last minute when the lesson is schedule on 3 pm and he cancelled it at 12:30pm and he knows his car has problem. He explained that he has no control of it! He basically is trying to pass the message to me that he is the boss and he can cancel as he want and you are the customer that already paid him and cannot do anything about it! We have been cancelled for the driver lessons twice by him at the scheduled lesson dates. This make it difficult to reschedule the future lessons at the website since it pushs us to 2 or 3 months further dates. Please stay away from Bryan's responsible driver at Hinsdale! read more

My son completed drivers ed class and obtained his permit this past summer. We paid for driving lessons and the online schedule was never made accessible to us. We called and emailed numerous times between August 2023-May 2024. Our calls and emails went unanswered until a week ago, when Bryan Kearney finally responded to tell us our time has expired and we need to re-purchase the classes. I do not recommend this place. I enrolled my daughter in Bryan's Drivers Education course. Bryan was helpful and answered all of my questions regarding the classes, permit test and necessary paperwork. My daughter learned a lot in the classroom and after her second driving lesson with Bryan, she was able to apply the classroom material to the road. He helped her become more comfortable behind the wheel. Bryan was flexible and understanding when she had to make-up a lesson due to our schedules. We were happy for the most part with the program until the end. The teacher of the classroom sessions was nice as well as the behind the wheel instructors. It's the owner where the concern comes in. We were scammed into paying an extra fee to take the final driving test with the company to forgo the test at the driving facility. The owner was not clear on where to meet for this and unresponsive. After waiting for 10 minutes in the parking lot, my son went into the building nearby and found the owner upstairs. He said that we were late so couldn't take the test. We explained that it wasn't clear on where to go so he reluctantly said he would do the test and then took the money. The actual test was less than 5 minutes, and the owner was on his phone the entire time. We found out later that he failed my son. He did not give any feedback whatsoever and said his score would be submitted. I later learned by getting an email from the secretary of state that he failed his exam. I contacted the owner about this and he was extremely rude. You would think if my son did that bad, something would have been said. Maybe some feedback since we paid hundreds of dollars for this program....He was just clearly mad we were late. I would like to add that my son is an amazing driver! Furthermore, I had many friends enroll here at the same time and for them, it was an absolute nightmare to get classes rescheduled. The owner was always rude if he got back to them at all. If I could leave negative stars, I would. This school has been reported to the State of Illinois. Mr. Kearney does not respond to emails and when he has an unhappy parent, he responds with angry phone calls, cursing and belligerence. He threatened to cancel my son's permit because he didn't like my complaint. I admit I was angry because I have emailed this school a number of times and they never reply. I tried to confirm in advance that we were attending the correct make up classes and ultimately showed up one Thursday and left my son there to find out there was no instructor. When I asked Mr. Kearney about the classes I had on my calendar, he refused to acknowledge they even existed at one point. I had a screen shot of the classes, but he still ignored it and refused to acknowledge the existence of the classes. Nonetheless, he said my son would have to make up the classes in the future but he could take his final exam any Sunday at 5pm. I didn't understand how he could take a final exam when he has classes to make up but Mr. Kearney assured me it was no big deal. At the time, I didn't think we would have a Sunday until late June and I was trying to get this done. Mr. Kearney uses his personal cell phone to call you when his business voicemail is full (and it's always full). Mr. Kearney apparently objects to receiving text messages on this personal cell phone despite the fact that he uses it for business. After sending an email to confirm my son's attendance at a final exam two weeks ago, I followed up with a text because after the previous communication issues, I wanted to be sure I wasn't driving him to an empty classroom again. Mr. Kearney strongly objected to my text message and called me VERY angrily that Sunday. My husband is a witness to Mr. Kearney's behavior on the telephone. He cursed, yelled and threatened to have my son's permit canceled because we "don't know his situation" and "he's trying to find a babysitter..." Mr. Kearney continued to yell and curse at me and when my husband heard this, he took over the call. Mr. Kearney continued to yell and act very angry. My husband eventually got Mr. Kearney to calm down enough to ensure that he confirmed my son would attend his exam that evening. It was agreed at that time that Mr. Kearney would speak to my husband going forward. That evening, I followed up with an email (copied my husband) to confirm the classes that needed to be made up and the dates. I received no reply. I followed up some days later to ask about these classes, again, there was no reply. This past Thursday, I called the school so I could learn the results of my son's exam, as it had now been over a week later. My son as told that the results would be emailed to us by the instructor who proctored the exam. The school voicemail box was full and at the end there is an option to send an SMS message, which I did. Mr. Kearney called me back later that day and when he learned which student I was calling about, he refused to speak with me further and said exam results aren't emailed and the instructor was incorrect in saying that. He then said he "thought we agreed your husband would make the calls". I had four witnesses to this conversation with Mr. Kearney as he was on speaker phone. I was pleasant and simply asking for the test results. He refused to provide them. Since this call, my husband has followed up with an email asking to confirm the school dates to make up and the results of the exam my son took two weeks ago. There has been no reply. This school has been reported to the State of Illinois. I have paid over $400 for this school. We have only a few classes left and six hours of driving. If I could transfer the remainder to any other school, I would. Alternatively, I would accept a refund. Mr. Kearney seems to think it's acceptable behavior to punish a student because he doesn't like a parent. Further, Mr. Kearney's anger is frightening and I question his ability to teach anyone to drive, let alone teenagers. He may not have liked that I got angry about the scheduling confusion but simply replying to my email would have cleared it up. He claims my email went to junk. Either way, when we spoke on the phone, he denied any wrongdoing and put the full blame on me, the parent. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Save your money. They guy, Brian K., running this place is snarky, unorganized, and vindictive. I paid money upfront for this course. My son took & completed the online portion of the course. The quizzes/exams are chalk full of errors. As for the the driving portion... What a joke. Was told to go to one location (by brian), then driving teacher was sent to dif location (by Brian), almost got changed for no show! 2nd driving experience was with Brian himself after several unprofessional email exchanges. He yelled at my son, he was on his cell phone complaining about his ex instead of instruction, feet on dashboard, then QUIT in the middle of the session and told my son not to come back without 10 more driving hours experience! Excuse me, I paid YOU for supervised driving instructions, No where was it explained that I was to deliver a seasoned driver to you and that you could quit mid-session. I just chalked it off as $500+ wasted dollars just to get this guy out of our lives. Next thing I know, 4 months later I get a letter from St of IL indicating that this guy submitted paperwork that my son successfully completed his course (including the driving)! My kid has a total 1.5 hours of supervised driving, he's never even been on a highway, and you FALSELY submitted papers of completion to the state. I presume hew did this to rid himself of us and to prevent me from fighting for a refund. But seriously, how r u going to pass a student along in DRIVERS ED, when they can't drive! This is reckless and dangerous for all parties. Absolutely disgusted by this guy. I wish the sate would intervene and shut him down. read more
