If you want my fully winded review, please read on, but if you want the quick and dirty, Precision…read morePacking College Movers was a great choice for my move, and I recommend them. When I plan a move, I look for three "E"s: The Economics, the Efficiency, and how Easy on my Stuff they are. The Economics: I sold my house in April of 2016, and sought bids from five different companies that do business in Central Maine. The interesting thing about Precision Packing College Movers is that they state they will beat the competition's pricing. While their pricing schedule is a bit strange, they were true to their word, and beat all of the other moving companies. The pricing schedule (how I understand it) is they block out a 3-4 hour window for the move. It doesn't matter how much time you have allotted (some movers charge by the hour). They adjust their rate based on the complexity of the move, but they can get most local moves done in that amount of time. You detail the move as best you can and they estimate costs (including the truck rental). While I could not pin down their hourly rate, just know you are paying for the entirety of the move and not so much by the hour. The Efficiency: Let's just say you'll need to have your act together for these guys. I had to pack a 2074 square foot house by myself, so I was still in the process of packing when they arrived. My recommendation to you is: make sure you are done packing when they arrive. :) These students, however, were extremely efficient and got my stuff in the truck a lot quicker than I thought. I did move a good deal of my items on my own, but they got the big stuff done and fast. Moving items into the new house: they were attentive to where I needed things, and put together the beds quickly. Easy on my Stuff: They took great care to make sure they did not harm any of my stuff. I would suggest, however, they get some moving blankets instead of using my blankets! :) They treated my stuff for the most part as if it was valuable cargo. My elliptical was half broken and one of the legs almost fell on me. They were quick to not let that happen. So now the negatives (these are just things you should know beforehand): They prefer to not take checks. Yes, on their website it says checks emphatically, but they either didn't want to take one from me or they don't like taking them, period. I'll assume the latter. They do take credit cards (one note, Tyler did work with me on this in a positive way). Also, they wanted half the payment in advance. While I do not disagree with this practice, most people who are moving are not carrying a ton of cash on them. It's just too easy to lose money that way. If I were Precision Packing, I would have listed their "pay half up front" policy on their website. These students handled my decent sized moving project with professionalism and I felt I made a good choice with Precision Packing. I recommend them for your big moving day.

As this was new construction and nothing had been moved upstairs prior to Liberty Bell it is clear that they caused the damage. We paid $475 to have the painting company repair the damage. I sent pictures to Liberty Bell but the pictures were not time-stamped before and after so Liberty takes no responsibility. Who anticipates damage and takes before pictures anyway? Also they were to take a king sized bed (no Mattress) to a charity but at the move day they told us that their truck was too full so they would not do it. Another negative is that before, during, and after the move I was never able to speak with a live person. Definitely would not recommend. Feel free to contact me with questions as I note that Liberty Bell tends to call bad reviews fakes. Dan

Joe was highly responsive and provided a succinct overview of service and costs. I appreciated his comfort in communicating via text, and we also had a couple of brief phone calls. I was very confident to book my move with Ultimate Transitions, and I am so glad I did. Moving is one of the most stressful things to go through. On moving day, Joe showed up on time and handled all of the logistics with professionalism and care. We needed help moving some bigger pieces of furniture around in the space as well, and he demonstrated real expertise in deconstructing and rebuilding, navigating doorways, and understanding dimensions and angles. Joe's confidence is clearly the result of over a decade of experience. Most importantly, the Ultimate Transitions crew was kind and genuine--not a small thing for me, especially during the stress of moving. I would call them again in a heartbeat and am a big supporter of this emerging business here in Maine.
