We had such a great experience renting the Gulfport Getaway home through Resort Rentals! The house is beautiful and the views are amazing. The home is steps away from the bay, allowing us to walk along the pier at sunset and the beach in the morning watching the sunrise. Just around the corner is Beach Blvd with tons of dining options. There is also a great art gallery and cigar shop a few blocks away. We brought the kids and grandkids and we were all very comfortable. We will definitely rent the Gulfport Getaway!

We had a great experience renting a Madeira Beach condo through Resort Rentals. I think your experience will vary greatly on the condo you choose, there's nothing the company can do if you don't spring for a nicer unit. We chose a perfect one, renovated within the past year and right on the beach as promised. We booked through VRBO which was super easy. About a week before our trip we received an email with check in info. When we arrived at their office (even after office hours), we received a packet with 2 lobby keys, a key code for our rental, a copy of the covenants and some other helpful info. Unfortunately, a day into our trip we experienced an issue with the dishwasher in our rental. It would not start. We called the office and it was too late to get someone out that day, but they came as promised the next day while we were at the beach, got it fixed, and the maintenance guy even left his cell number in case we needed anything else (which we didn't). I appreciated that all our needs were anticipated before we arrived as well as the speedy maintenance. We'd definitely rent from RR again!

Absolutely DO NOT vacation through resort rentals!! We stayed in Emerald Isle #204 in N. Redington Beach. The 2 major issues were 1) The unit was not properly cleaned prior to our arrival! The bed in the master bedroom was not made, the blankets and a towel were wadded in a pile on the bed!! There also was a dirty glass in the kitchen sink. That is absolutely unacceptable, especially with covid being such an issue and this company advertising how thoroughly they clean and disinfect!! 2) The hot and cold lever on the shower was backward!! Thank God my son didn't get burned!! He knows to turn the water on more toward cold and then adjust to warmer water after he gets in the shower, to avoid getting burned. Thankfully he saw the steam and realized it was hot before getting in!! Then there were the multiple small issues: -the TV, modem, cable box and phone were on the floor in the master bedroom -there was a large stain on the carpet near the nightstand in the master bedroom -the fan didn't work in the master bedroom (the pull chain was broken off) -the light didn't work in one closet in the master bedroom -the remote was taped together in master bedroom -the carpet was pulling away from the entrance to the master bath, so the tack strip was exposed (not awesome when stepped on) -the blinds were broken in the master bath -there was packaging material, including staples on the carpet in the master bedroom -there was no bag in the vacuum, so the above issue was cleaned up by hand. (Definitely didn't want a staple in my foot!!) -the cable wasn't working in the bedroom with the twin beds -the light switch in the dining area was covered in scotch tape‍ -the blinds were broken in the kitchen -the balcony light didn't work -the covers were broken off of the outdoor outlet on the balcony Despite all these issues, they offered NO compensation!! ZERO All they did was say, oh I'm sorry....

Most of my complaints are with the unit itself - not the Land's End complex as a whole. Just to keep that in mind. Note: We stayed in Land's End, unit 401, building 10. Other Note: While there are beach chair services on other parts of the island, because of how close to the edge of the island Land's End is, there is no beach chair service at this part of the island. Other, Other Note: Beach is ungroomed! While this leads to a lot more wildlife and birds to look at, it also means pretty gnarly sand that's very rough on bare feet. Keep this in mind when packing. Water shoes and flip-flops are recommended. PROS: -The unit itself was located right on the beach. If you wanted regular beach access, quite a few of their properties seem to provide that. Our unit was within a 3-minute walk to the beach with multiple pathways to get there. -The Land's End property was well-groomed. There's no overgrown grass. Staff comes out and cleans the pool on weekdays. Nice flowers are planted along the walkways and gazebos and benches are in pretty good shape. There are a decent amount of sand-washing areas right off the walks as well - though we occasionally wished they were easier to access on every area. (A single wash spot can get full on occasions with people.) -There's parking underneath each individual building with individually-assigned parking spots. Not only does this provide some shade for the hot sun and inclement weather, but you'll be so close to the elevator for your building that you'll only have to walk a few steps to make it inside. It's very convenient parking. -While fussy in the beginning to get it set up, the gated entrance seems pretty helpful in keeping this part of the beach relatively safe and comfortable. We had no problem with the gated entrance for food deliveries, and getting in and out was simple. -The unit is comfortable and spacious - especially for the four people it's designed to house. You have multiple balconies, a roomy living room and kitchen, and enough tile at the entrance of the unit to help reduce the amount of sand running through the house. CONS: -When we first checked into our unit, both of the showers were entirely unusable water-temperature-wise. It was to the point where I'm unsure how housekeeping could have actually cleaned either of these showers without noticing something was wrong. So they either need to talk to housekeeping about reporting issues or they didn't keep up on fixing it before we arrived. We checked in late on Friday, so there wasn't much left of the weekdays, but when we called, they agreed to have someone come out first thing Saturday morning. The guy did what he could for us on Saturday in order for us to have at least one working shower, and he said he'd be back first-thing Monday to fix the remaining shower. He was there on Monday before 10AM as promised. So checking into a resort where things are obviously broken is sucky, but Resort Rentals did a great job addressing it as soon as possible. -Other small things are oddly unworking. The nightlight lightbulbs are all burned out in the bathrooms. One of the lights on the outdoor porch was burned out. The bathroom fan in the master bathroom doesn't turn on. It's an odd, small assortment of things, but it does show a lack of attention to detail. -The unit appears to be functionally clean when you check-in. However, some of the smaller details (similar to the functionality of items) seems to be missing. Furniture is spotless and clean and the refrigerator glass shelves are devoid of any stains, but there are dead bugs in the balcony door tracts and dust on the baseboards. A deep clean every month or so might be really good for the unit. -It may not be the case at all Resort Rentals units, but at this particular one, the refrigerator and cabinets were entirely devoid of anything aside from dinnerware and cookware. If you plan on eating at home and doing your own cooking, this either means accepting a lack of any spices (other than salt or pepper), condiments, oils, etc., or going to the store to purchase all of those items just to toss them at the end of the stay. If you're driving, you might be able to pack all of those things ahead of time. -Be aware that getting to places takes a decent amount of time. Since you're on the very edge of the island, it's at least a 10-minute drive to get to any businesses (aside from a select few within 5 minutes).

    Ripped arm chair soaking wet.

Our rental smelled like mold & urine. There furniture upon arrival was soaking wet from pool water and one chair was soaking wet with urine along with a urine stain. The dishwasher has broken fragments of metal with rust on the inside. We had to go to the store to buy room spray to mask the odor along with plastic utensils and paper ware because the dishes the until came with smelled like mildew due to the smell and condition of the cabinets. The unit was not clean at all upon arrival dirty plate settings covered in food, matted and stained carpet, dirty windows, beds without proper sheets and pillows without covers. All of this did not match the units pictures & discretion online. The agency begun doing maintenance on our until while we were on vacation coming in and out of our unit replacing fire detectors & filters. Manager ignored phone calls and hid from all the issues provided. There was mold in the shower. Cigarette burns on the shower curtain. And so much more I can't even list. Very bad management and service shady company.

Sliced my finger on this rusty toilet handle-razor sharp.

This was supported by the tradition that everybody staying there would gather for a glass of wine or a drink at around 5 in the afternoon in the tiki-hut. Even though we were the only ones with children we felt so welcome. I would love to go there again and I am sure that we would feel just as welcome the next time. We stayed in Villa Paradiso, which was the largest of the villas, but I also saw the inside of some of the other villas and they looked just as nice. ZERO STARS, or even negative if that is at all possible. I hope someone gets to see this review…read morebecause the owners have now taken their rental off VRBO after I emailed them explaining our issues and letting them know I would be leaving a bad review. We stayed here in September 2020. This listing was very misleading. We really thought we were renting a home with a private pool and instead it was a "resort" with 7 other units sharing the facility. This house is extremely tacky and outdated. The AC took 2 of the 3 days of our trip to start cooling down and 1 room had a broken AC and we were never notified prior to arrival. There was a loud AC machine in the room with a tube coming out of the window and several large cockroaches and palmetto bugs came in due to the opening. Some even crawled out of the "clean" towels. I reached out prior to booking to ask about our trailer and 24ft boat and paid extra for a spot. We arrived and they said no a 24ft trailer wouldn't fit and then for the first few hours we had to try and figure out what we were going to do. They found a "solution" and had us park our trailer in a nearby parking lot off a dark alley that was supposedly their friends. We were worried the whole time that it was going to get stolen. They didn't refund what we paid to park the trailer, instead made it seem like they were doing us a favor by not charging us more to have it in their friend's lot. Then they charged us for our 2nd car to park in the original spot that our trailer was supposed to fit in which was the size of a compact car or motorcycle space. They should've comped that due to this fiasco. It rained a lot, it's FL, we know, but we couldn't even walk to our cars with shoes on because of their entrance being flooded and having no drainage. Our biggest issue - THE DOCK.....DO NOT BRING YOUR BOAT!!!! They told us to bring bumpers which we did but there were huge bolts sticking out of the dock everywhere. Our 2 month old boat got ruined in the front and I've attached a photo to show the damage. It's outrageous that they charge extra for the docking when their set up was that bad. I hope this review helps someone not make the mistake we made. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO RENT, you will be so happy that you did!
