Mini honeymoon
Daisy N.

We absolutely loved this place. Teena was so thoughtful and hospitable. They offered beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, ice makers in the room, and the best part was riding bikes to the local restaurants. We enjoyed our local honeymoon before leaving to Europe next month. We will be back soon! The only downside is we were able to hear our neighbors as the building is 100 years old, and the walls are a bit thin. Not a deal breaker though...

Cutest little welcome guide... I don't mind the photo bomber

I didn't want to leave! This was the cutest little boutique inn... it had an incredibly laid back vibe with every amenity you needed. Incredibly clean and incredibly caring staff. We were welcomed in by seeing a board with our names on it, by the name of our room, so super cute. Our room was beautiful. The kitchen was small, but spread out and easy to access everything. There was a small fridge, the only downside to that is it was more of a beverage cooler so it didn't get super cold. But just having a fridge in our room was so convenient. There was also a stove top and a microwave. I included a picture of the welcome guide below because it was so cute. It listed places to go, things to see and really simple things about the Inn. There were two air-conditioning units for our room which was amazing. There was also remote control fans and two gigantic big screen TVs which I don't think we ended up using because the area has so much to do. You are literally steps away from seashells, sand and ocean waves. The linens were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little stiff and not as cozy... and I really wish it would've been a king size but that room was taken. They really thought of everything. Downstairs they have ice for the cooler that they provide you to take to the beach in your room. They also have a little table of bug spray and sunscreen in case you forgot some. Coffee starts at 7 AM and they have a late breakfast fare a little later in the morning. While enjoying your morning coffee you can stroll around the grounds and see all the rocks that people have filled out with little messages from their stay (and they have sharpies to do your own!) And they have bikes to use! We cannot wait to return to this place. I can't even begin to describe how high they set the bar.

I just loved my stay at Inn on the Beach! A great location, great customer service and incredible accommodation! Love. Love. Love. I can't think of a single piece of critical feedback. Nada. Okay, yes I can. Why do hotels and such insist on a bar of soap for bathroom handwashing? Hotels are the only place left with bars of soap for washing your hands. Are they in cahoots with the bar soap people? Don't get me wrong, I'm all about handwashing but give me that liquid hand soap in the pump bottle please. Walk across the road and you're at the beach honey! I stayed in the Juneberry room which has a small balcony and I could see the ocean from my balcony! What a relaxing view! During my stay I did indeed walk across the road to the beach, I was so glad that I did! I took a long walk on the beach in the warm sun, watching a diverse array of birds, a golden retriever fetching a tennis ball in the ocean and feeling the sand between my toes. I even saw dolphins doing little dolphin flips above the water! That was so cool! Have you ever been on spring break? Where the beach is loud, crowded and a constant party. Well, there is none of that energy here. It's chill, relaxing and restorative. It sure was for me! The Inn on The Beach has really thought about everything that guests might need. My room was stocked with a full kitchen for my use. I loved being able to open windows and get fresh air unlike many hotels. Guests are provided with a complimentary breakfast on the weekends; it consisted of fruit, pastries, coffee and tea. My room was actually much bigger than I expected from seeing the photos online. When I come back to St. Pete Beach I'm staying at the Inn on the Beach, no question!

Beach cruisers - we enjoyed bike rides through the pretty area

We came in town from South Florida for a friend's wedding in St. Pete. After looking at the bigger, pricier options recommended (Don Cesar, Hotel Zamora, Rumfish and Tradewinds) and not being inspired by any of them, a friend recommended this charming little place in the Pass A Grill area of St Pete Beach, a stone's throw away. It was perfect! Pretty and quiet little area that's very close to the more "happening" St Pete area. The Inn has all the benefits of the bigger places, and then some. Private and free parking-no pain in the butt valet. Right across from the beach. Friends attending the same wedding lodged here as well and all of us had positive experiences. First, it was very clean. The rooms are comfortable and cute, tastefully decorated with beachy decor. The 3 units I saw all had king beds, kitchenettes and spacious showers. Ours was the Sunset room, which is on the 2nd floor and has a balcony with a side view of the beach. Perfect spot to drink morning coffee (all rooms have coffee makers with all the fixings) seated in one of the tall stools with my feet up on the balcony railing. Awning over part of it if you want shade, and even a lounge chair. Loved my morning coffee perch. If you like this sort of thing and have a choice, definitely get a 2nd floor room Bc while the first floor rooms are nice, you can't see the beach over the sand dunes. Our friends stayed in the Hibiscus room and Clementine. Hibiscus was the biggest of the 3, and has its own courtyard, which is cool, but again, can't really see the beach. Clementine was smaller with no courtyard or balcony but clean, cute and comfortable. Probably decently cheaper too. Not that the Inn was expensive, by comparison to the other places mentioned above. All 4 of those were pricier and didn't offer what we got. Definitely made the right call. Other perks: The Inn has beach cruiser bikes available for guests to cruise around the area. They have an abundance of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and even coolers, making the short walk across the street to the beach that much more convenient and enjoyable. It was awesome, frankly, to have all those details covered. Chelsea was on-site most of the time and anything I needed, she immediately provided. Like extra coffee or make-up wipes. You have the option of daily housekeeping (or opting out if you have concerns about covid). They keep in touch with you regularly by text. Each morning I got a text from Chelsea asking if I needed fresh towels, housekeeping or any items. When do you ever get service like that at a bigger hotel? Can't say enough about this little gem of a place. They have a community area between the units with picnic tables and umbrellas. One of our friends said it was reminiscent of "Melrose Place" (showing my age, here) and that's a pretty apt description, where we could hang and be social among the palm trees and such, and run up to our rooms if we needed to grab a drink. Super chilled place to hang out and be social, yet escape to our rooms for privacy. Finally, the Inn normally provides breakfast on weekends but since the pandemic, they do more of a grab-and-go. I've never seen a hotel do this with such class and thoughtfulness to details. They have individual containers of fresh berries (blueberries, cherries and strawberries)--really a nice touch. They offer pastries from a local French bakery that were fresh and freaking delicious. They even had little wellness shot bottles--ginger, lemon and cayenne pepper blend. What a nice touch for folks who like that, and I do, so I was thrilled. Big bowl of fresh fruit too-bananas, apples, oranges, plums. Individually wrapped biscotti. Individual bottles of oat milk. Oatbowls in their own containers. So basically, a range of healthy to less healthy options. Very impressed with their selection. Any concerns I had were minimal and don't affect my rating. We had a near perfect stay. I would definitely return if I had reason to come back to St. Pete. Highly recommend.

excellent experience! clean, quiet, ideal for adults or a single traveler looking for a relaxing and laid back short vacation. The staff was available, helpful, courteous and anticipating needs. Will definitely come back! Dee was very kind, thank you! The housekeepers were efficient.

Wow, what an amazing place to stay! My wife and I were visiting Tampa for a few days and wanted to spend the night on St. Pete Beach. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Inn On The Beach and absolutely made the right decision! The Juneberry room was absolutely perfect for us. It was incredibly modern and had everything that we needed. The Inn also provided beach chairs to take over and return to the courtyard at your leisure. The Inn manager was also incredibly welcoming and easy to work with.

Cheery welcome!

My husband & I had just closed on our new condo & needed a place for just one night. The Inn is so cute with each room named for a flower. Puts you in a great mood right away & with the gulf's great beach literally steps away the inn is perfect. Most importantly it is clean, crisp, even has a kitchenette!

Stayed here with my husband and two kids ages 1 and 8. We had the Egret room. It is a small hotel right on gulf and across the street from the beach which is very convenient. The room was a decent size, very clean and nicely decorated. It has a small kitchen with just about everything you would need; plates, silverware, pots and pans, mugs, coffeemaker, toaster etc..They have towels, beach chairs and some beach toys available for your use at no charge too. The area is very quiet with not too much going on. I wish there was more to do or at least a Starbucks ( though I highly recommend the Paradise Sweets for breakfast) but that's just me. Overall, had a nice time while staying here. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was very hot since there is no ac vent in it but we just kept the door open and it helped. The innkeeper Sheila was very helpful with anything we needed.

We trusted the online reviews as we had never been to Pass-a-grille and I am so glad we did! This place is amazing - nicely decorated, newly remodeled, clean, private and very close to the beach! Sometimes it is difficult to vacation if the rental is not as nice as home but this (while different) is comparable in decor and cleanliness. The inn keepers are friendly and very helpful! We were provided coffee, beach chairs, an umbrella, a beach cart and beach towels. Since we flew down this was extremely convenient. Breakfast on the weekends is an added bonus. Pastries, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The location can't be beat. We walked with our toddler to the restaurants six streets over. Enjoyed dinner and a sunset walk back to our cottage. As an overly picky person (just ask my husband) I would highly recommend renting at Inn on the Beach! We stayed in the cottage and loved it!

Our Vow Renewal on the Beach directly across from the Inn.

It was the perfect place to stay for our Vow Renewal. The Inn is quaint with a modern touch. The Staff go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Location is superb with the beach right across the street. Thanks Chelsea and All for an outstanding stay!

This hotel is on Pass-a-Grille beach. Close to great spots to eat! Clean and very up to date rooms. The owner is very sweet! They helped recommend my wedding planner "Tied the Knot" who were excellent! They recommended "Elegant Bride" Michelle who came to my room to do my hair and makeup! Wonderful job and very nice lady! I will be planning a trip back very soon! Hated to leave. Best 5 days I have had in awhile. I definitely recommend this spot. Reasonably priced and offer military discount too.

Unmade bed and the room is still pretty!

We love coming here after dropping off our son at college every year and will continue to visit long after he graduates. The innkeeper is absolutely charming, welcoming and responsive. Housekeeper's are super sweet and efficient. My eyes are highly sensitive to design, "our room" here is nicely decorated with everything one needs, simple and serene. The beach across the street is quiet and gorgeous. This is a peaceful haven perfect for a short retreat.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. I'm not one of those people that gives a bunch of bad reviews. The highlight of this resort is the beach, the pools, and the menu. Service is good overall. So definitely some good.

That's about it for the positives. It is a VERY dated hotel so if you like fresh and new, look at the 2014-opened Hotel Zamora a hundred yards down Gulf Blvd, however it is not beachfront, so that's its huge problem. The rooms here you can tell have seen some better years with patches and paint easily spotted on the walls. The appliances in the kitchenette are very old but perfectly functional if you want to enjoy a week on the beach without the expense of going to restaurants for every meal. If you're wanting to catch a football game on TV, better to visit a bar because the rooms still have old school tube televisions. The front desk is not staffed 24x7, so there are restrictions on check in and check out times to keep in mind. My only real complaint about this place is security. The room I stayed in had broken locks on at least two of the windows making it impossible to lock them. The door locks still use traditional keys, so who knows if someone has copied yours in the past. The rooms on the south side of the property (not sure about the north side) have a sidewalk area and second door on that back side exiting from the bedroom; it would be easy for someone to break into the room from that site without it being very obvious. So if you have some true valuables, you probably won't feel comfortable leaving them in the room. I'm not sure if the front desk has some more secure method of storing items for guests.
