Liam and Tanner at the front desk or so kind and helpful. They were great to talk to and extremely friendly! The hotel itself was nice, and my room was very spacious. It even had an old-fashioned fridge and couches in front of the TV that were movie styled. It was a very fun, happy, vibe that was 50s retro inspired. If only the weather was warmer during my visit, I felt like I really could've maximized my time at the hotel. They really made great use of their space with Life-size games, mini golf, and not to mention the beach was just steps away. I will definitely have to come back when the weather is warmer!!

Appliances are an adorable retro theme. The decor takes you back to a time where life was simpler and fills your senses with nostalgia. I couldn't help but smile while in the lobby that was decked out with the look and feel of times past. Big shout out to the very nice and professional gals in the lobby Cherish and Eva. Great customer service If you love vintage cars - this is your go to place - I promise. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a very minor issue with our keycard but it was immediately resolved literally within 5 minutes. Oh, and did I mention happy hour??? FREE beer and wine is never a bad thing! Lastly, we were able to meet one of the owners who was truly was happy to have us as his guest. They've thought of everything So, if you are ever in the area check them out.

It was near the bottom of all of the HGI's that we've slept in. To be clear, it was goo but not at the quality that I had expected. However, it would be rated higher if there was a sofa or a second, but comfortable, chair. The gym was nice. Be prepared to pay $25-$50 for parking. The hotel is centrally located in St. Pete Beach and a quick 10-15 minute drive to St. Pete. There are numerous restaurants within a 10-minute walk. You can access the beach from the hotel. All totaled, I'd go there again.

Since we're staying for over a week, the ocean-view rooms were only available for two or three days, not for the full length of our stay. I ended up booking a partial ocean-view room instead, but it honestly makes me sad. I also asked if we could have a room near the end of the hallway, closer to the ocean, but I was told that nothing could be done because the room had already been assigned. This was the same situation last year as well. Saint Pete Beach is beautiful, and although there aren't many nice brand-name hotels in the area, we choose Hilton because it's pet-friendly. Other than not being able to secure an ocean-view room, hopefully everything will be nice. Additional reviews after checking out, As always, the front desk was friendly, and Janet and Capria at the pool were especially welcoming. Housekeeping was very disappointing during our nine-day stay. They didn't wipe the tables or the desk at all. I wouldn't have minded about the desk, but we ate and had drinks at the table, so there were stains that were never cleaned, not even once. The only things they did in the room were empty the trash and make the bed. They also didn't clean our shower or bathroom sink for the entire nine days; they only emptied the trash and replaced the towels. Four stars or three stars I don't know.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

The room had a king bed, modern bathroom, big screen TV, and small kitchenette. We got two complimentary alcoholic drinks upon check-in. The hotel also has a great second story restaurant and bar attached to it which we ate at on our first night there. Highly recommend a stay here.

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. I'm not one of those people that gives a bunch of bad reviews. The highlight of this resort is the beach, the pools, and the menu. Service is good overall. So definitely some good.

I was glad to snag a room at an extremely reasonable rate on a Saturday night. I was skeptical because I'm afraid of rat holes and after reading up on reviews anywhere I could find them, I decided to give it a shot. It's in a great location, directly next to the Undertow and just a couple of blocks from Smileys Snack Shack, what else do you need? The room is dated, the bathroom is tiny, but it has a kitchenette with 2 burner stove and a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, plates glasses, silverware.... Anything you might need for a long weekend or longer stay. And it's CLEAN! The pool is small, but it's nice, there's a covered pavilion there as well if you want to stay out of the sun and overlooks the beach and ocean. That's all you need! Only one car per room. If you have more than one car for your room, offsite parking is a nightmare, but it can be done. I only spent one night, but I would consider returning. I just wish they'd do something about those curtains!

That's about it for the positives. It is a VERY dated hotel so if you like fresh and new, look at the 2014-opened Hotel Zamora a hundred yards down Gulf Blvd, however it is not beachfront, so that's its huge problem. The rooms here you can tell have seen some better years with patches and paint easily spotted on the walls. The appliances in the kitchenette are very old but perfectly functional if you want to enjoy a week on the beach without the expense of going to restaurants for every meal. If you're wanting to catch a football game on TV, better to visit a bar because the rooms still have old school tube televisions. The front desk is not staffed 24x7, so there are restrictions on check in and check out times to keep in mind. My only real complaint about this place is security. The room I stayed in had broken locks on at least two of the windows making it impossible to lock them. The door locks still use traditional keys, so who knows if someone has copied yours in the past. The rooms on the south side of the property (not sure about the north side) have a sidewalk area and second door on that back side exiting from the bedroom; it would be easy for someone to break into the room from that site without it being very obvious. So if you have some true valuables, you probably won't feel comfortable leaving them in the room. I'm not sure if the front desk has some more secure method of storing items for guests.
