10/22/2020 , 3 nights staycation/business trip. This place is tucked inside an industrial area and overlooks a man made lake and It looks like an apartment complex and is quite nice . The ladys at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. We did however see a few issues with our room , 1. The carpet edges looked frayed in the living room and not tucked in as carpet should be. 2. The couch has some stains on it which wasn't too big of a deal since we don't usually hangout in the living room. 3. There was a half used bottle of dish soap in the kitchen . 4. We found very dirty rags in the drawer next to the bed in the master bedroom (thankfully the front desk was nice and sent someone up to get them) . 5. The TV's were small in every room and outdated / no Netflix etc. 6. The bathrooms are not updated like most Residence Inns we have been to, with the glass shower walkin's. The room we stayed in is an Executive Suite that includes the below. 1. A loft that has a bed and its own bathroom / shower tub 2. A master bedroom with french doors with its own bathroom/shower tub 3. Full Kitchen 4. Fireplace (not sure if it works) All in all the place isn't too bad and it's like an apartment and not too shabby but not for $165 a night unfortunately, thus why we gave it 3 stars . read more

I absolutely hate giving bad reviews but I feel I need to with this one. We travel a lot as a family and this is probably one of the worst hotels we've stayed at. We booked our room and told them we'd be checking in around 9pm as we were driving from out of state. When I went to check in they told me they gave our room away. We were able to get a different one but for $155 this is a 2 star room at best. The images on the listing are absolutely misleading! I don't understand the positive reviews, I have posted photos to look at, there is zero excuse for this. The lights are dim, the room was musty, dirty vents, 2 bath towels for a group of 5 people, the floor in the living room bowed and made noise when standing on it, stained cushions and mattress on the couch. The mold and mildew in the room caused me a sinus infection that I needed to get antibiotics for. I am extremely allergic. I had to go down to the office and ask for pillows, blankets and sheets for the pullout. At least the king bed and bathroom shower seemed clean which sadly was the only okay part of the room. The lady at the front desk for check in was polite though no ask from the morning staff as to how my stay was. read more

The Hotel when I stayed there was I terrible condition and not very clean. The breakfast was terrible.

When you open the door to a suite, you will be greeted with a smell reminiscent of the basement of a hoarders house that died the week prior. Then you will feel soft spots along the floor where the water damage has softened the underlay. On the plus side, the shower curtain is curved away from the tub, however the tile wall is also bowed out equally due to swelling from water damage. Overall, met the expectation of where people go when their spouse kicks them out, or where dreams go to die. No housekeeping on weekends. Seriously, so many other stay options. Go roll the dice elsewhere. read more

This place is disgusting. A motel 6 is better. The room smells like a mix between cleaner, weed and mildew. It is large but very outdated and needs a complete facelift. This room should be 60-70 a night not over 100. Cmon Marriott make your franchises do better. read more

I have had the pleasure to stay at this location several times last year, beginning of this year; with each stay being a duration that would vary from a week to a little over a month stay. Each time my experience has been a home away from home. I could not ask for better service. From the Business Manager Darlene, ALL management, ALL front desk staff, ALL maintenance, ALL kitchen staff, ALL housekeeping staff, the professionalism, the respect, the accommodations, and friendliness was more than I could have ever ask to be treated like as a guest in someone else's home. I am a Nursing student who had to travel back and forth from California to Florida for school and once I found this place I refused to stay anywhere else. I would share with fellow students and also tell them my experiences so that they can also have a peace of mind from home. A safe, clean, and inviting place that I will miss and must make a visit again to say hi and thank you. Thank you your kindness will always be remembered! read more

Residence Inn Boca Raton - My morning walk between the hotel, the lake, on my way to get the complimentary breakfast. - Hotels Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Facility is always under repair, it seems a lot of work still needs to be completed and the rooms are out of date, etc. Constantly poor parking arrangements, people/guest block the entry way, etc. I have stayed in this location a number of times, not at all up to Marriott standards IMPO. I feel very presumptuous, can not use the area for breakfast in the lobby, hiding behind the guise of COVID yet, BS. Not a well managed facility at all. Staff is hard working, bad leadership. read more

Outdated, staff is not cordial. It is located in an industrial park. The food at the 'free buffet' is lame. The sausage was cold and eggs rubbery. When I asked for salt and pepper they said they were out. Marriott pompano beach is excellent and a half an hour away read more

This place was a mess. While the staff were nice. The hotel in general was dirty and not well kept at all.

Stay away from this hotel. It no longer is a safe palce to stay. They allow workers to enter rooms without being accompanied by staff. Then they leave a mess and do not clean up. The odor of maijuana permiates the ground. There is a lack of security at the hotel. Pool area is disgusting 6 lounage chairs and 2 umbrellas around pool. Broken pool deck and broken wooden fences near pool Rooms smell of mold. Breakfast is poor quality New owners tookover property in 2020 and have run it into the ground. Once a very beautiful and warm secure hotel is no longer. Avoid this hotel. read more

All exterior doors, mine was coated with who knows what. Laundry and garbage piled near door at 5 PM; still there at ten AM next morning. Room stunk. Very dim lighting hides much including dented up refrigerator. Breakfast chafing dishes go empty for quite awhile before refill. Hot water at tap, but only cold in the shower. They moved me to another room across the property; same thing! Washing hair with cold water is new for me. But the room did not smell. Manager was "in a meeting" for two hours; called back hours later, still in a meeting. So not on the property. And I love Residence Inn! This one is a welfare hotel. read more

Ewe that smell! Can't you smell that smell? The smell that's of mold surrounding you!! Our unit made us sick. We had to go to the urgent care. The entire property is old and in dire need of complete renovation. It's a real shame too as these could be really nice. There is NO INTERNET!! It's right next to the main road and the bright line tracks. When the train goes by the entire building shakes and we were the furthest away from the tracks I would hated to have been one of the close buildings. There's nothing near this property. This is more of a business park than anything else. Not a nice area. read more

Although the price is awesome this place is in desperate need of an upgrade. Even at the front desk. Couple of your associates have the worse attitude in person and when they answer the phone. Not ok! This past weekend we stayed in the two level penthouse because we couldn't get any downstairs studios. My daughter books all our travel and takes care of all our accommodations. This would be a great room if it didn't have ants crawling out the bathroom drain, the shower was old, water looked frosty and a lot of damage to cabinets, all the light covers were yellow just to nice of a layout to look like the 70's. We have stayed here several times but this stay was very disappointed. The entire facility needs remodel the parking lot has a lot of uneven areas and that is dangerous. Someone could get injured badly if they trip. A very disappointing stay. read more

Our room was very nice and clean. The daily breakfast isn't bad, had everything we needed to get our day started. The kitchen was stocked with the basics. There is no real coffee pot. Only a small machine that you have to use their pouches for. The coffee was nasty. The coffee with breakfast is way better. The population of people is a little sketchy. My adult daughter and I stayed here and some of the men were just creepy. I think there are people that live there? Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend. read more

Room has no security. Broken secondary locks and deadbolt broken. The grounds outside were filthy with garbage on the floor

Nothing short of four stars. While not perfect, it's certainly ideal, especially at the price point. The service above all is what makes this Hotel a great option. They make you feel right at home, they have complimentary Breakfast and a Residence Inn mix three times a week, where you are offered a meal during the evening hours. The Sports center is a nice feature, a decent size pool and Hot tub as well as a Basketball hoop and volleyball area. The fitness room was as you'd might expect, nothing to brag about. The location is just so-so, it's almost hidden inside a plaza with little to see or do. There is a Costco nearby, about a mile away. Easy access to I-95, Ft. Lauderdale airport is a thirty minute drive. Overall it was a solid stay, nothing fancy. Rooms are similar to that of a Studio. This Residence Inn is perfect for business trips or short visits. read more

Checked in last night figured that I'd get a good night sleep before writing the review. To clarify I have stayed in some $$$$ (coral gables) to $ (lake city) and in almost every state in the lower 48. Lodging is probably one of the hardest things to review because everyone has their own idea of luxury and lack luster. So here it goes, 1.) upon entering suite was clean and did not have an unpleasant aroma. 2.) kitchen was clean, dishes that I checked were clean and not water spotted. Coffee maker was clean. 3.) everything was functional although we were missing 1 remote control. Note: we did not attempt to get a replacement. 4.) bed was comfortable. 5.) it was quiet. 6.) breakfast was Free, in my grandfathers words of wisdom, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, you know standard stuff. The food was good. There were 2 employees non stop cleaning and bringing out more food for the hall, nearly filled to capacity with guests and screaming children. To summarize I wouldn't have a problem staying here again and yes I would recommend it to my family and friends. read more

This hotel is outdated and in disrepair. The front door of my room had been kicked in at some point, the security latch was broken off and the door frame had been repaired. The carpet and furniture had multiple stains. The appliances were dirty, old, and had parts which were broken. The bathrooms were moldy. The beds were clean and looked newer. The occupants of the room below cooked a dinner heavy with curry and my room smelled the whole next day. The staff were excellent and friendly. This room was an upgrade from what I had reserved. I would not say this is safe or family friendly. This hotel has not been maintained very well and I do not think it will stay under the Marriott name much longer. read more

Nice room, but that's all I can say on a positive note. All I can smell in our room is pot! The people upstairs haven't stopped bouncing around since we got here. Thank God we only need the room for one night! Very disappointed in Mariott read more

We stayed here for 10 days. The rooms are good sizes, but they need a better cleaning. (But I sprayed Lysol everywhere anyways) read more

This place looks nothing like the pictures! Run!! It is so dirty and disgusting. The rooms smell like mold and old cigarettes. I couldn't even stay....I left right after checking in.....this place is more like a motel 8! So nasty! Nasty stains on the floor too read more

Will not be staying here again. The reason I gave it a generous two stars is because we only paid approx, $225 a night for a suite, so you do get a large space and the A/C works great. The worst part about this is the really old nasty stinky carpet. If they changed that to hard floors it would make a world of difference. The pool and hot tub are in really bad shape, just crumbling, falling apart and dirty. Can't even lay out by the pool and relax because there's only like two lounge chairs and it's right by the highway, which is noisy. The inside of the hotel definitely smells like somebody smoked in here recently and it's supposed to be a non-smoking room. The air conditioning grates are really nasty and dirty with a bunch of black gunk on them. The shower tub has mold around it. The outside of the fridge is badly dented. Everything including the doors just has scum and dirt on it like it hasn't been cleaned in 30 years. We were really surprised that this has Marriott name and in this condition. One other thing to know is there really isn't a gym it's two or three treadmills and some weights in a very very tiny room. We were supposed to stay for three nights, but are only going to stay for two. read more

If I could rate it a 0 I would. Rooms smelled like smoke and mold. Dirty, old and run down. Bugs flying around. Absolutely gross. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Not worth the money or time. We stayed here for a football tournament for an entire week actually 9 days. Our organization booked about 65 rooms at over $1500 per room. The photos are very misleading. First let's start with the pros... the staff is great! That is all. Cons.....this place could be so much better. I booked a double suite, I checked in on my app and they charge when you check in in advance. It was supposed to be $1589. When we got to the room it was the king loft room. I was like ok. This will work. I didn't ask for an upgrade and I wasn't told we were being upgraded. Upon first entry it looked great. First night found out our sink was clogged and wouldn't drain. Too tired to handle that so we went to sleep. However into day 3 our air failed. We didn't realize until day 6 when it was like 78 degrees. Come to find out the compressor was frozen. Now when you say how could you not know the air was broke.. we are from Seattle. We don't have air conditioning in our house so it wasn't that bad but during the night with no fans it's noticeable. Had to have fans brought in until it could thaw out. Also don't leave anything out on the counters food wise. You will find all types of little bugs, I'm assuming ants but their so tiny I couldn't tell. I'm also blessed to not have had roaches in my room. Two of my friends rooms had roaches and they had to be moved. On the day before we left we had someone try to come into the room to "change the locks". I was not dressed. No notice from the front desk or when we checked in. It was creepy. Only to tell him to wait 30 minutes and he sits outside the room. Anywhoo. This place needs some serious upgrades. Finally I get my check out receipt and it's charging me for the king loft that I did not ask for nor was told it would be an upgrade with an extra charge. I went into the office when we checked out to share that and they provided a refund of the difference which was $240. I was very appreciative, however I was upset that I had to pay the amount of money we did for the time we were there. read more

When I got to the room it looked nice, but I had no hot water, the toilet didn't flush correctly and the bed was soft. When I told the manager that I had no how water she responded that maintenance didn't come in until 9. That didn't do me much good because I was only staying overn and leaving before 9. Room wasn't cheap and they made no attempt to try and makeup for the problems. Hotel was difficult to find. read more

Absolutely pathetic. The tv signal goes in and out. Fine I went to bed. Then I woke up and turned the tv on and once again the signal goes in and out. Turned the tv off and decided to take a shower. Turned on the hot water in the shower and you couldn't tell if the hot or cold water was on. So I left the hot water on for 15 minutes and still no hot water. Called the front desk and the operator proceeded to tell me how to turn on the hot water. Gee thanks. I never knew how to turn on a faucet. Well after leaving the hot water in I decided to take a cold shower. After the shower I went down to breakfast and I can say this was the absolute worst meal I had in my life. Watery eggs and two day old turkey jerky sausage. I recommend the banana and coffee. Attached is a picture of the breakfast sausage. read more

I'll start with the good-the kitchen was decent & clean. The towels in the bath were thick, large and fresh. That's it....the room smelled horribly of smoke, I'll assume from the fire place? But smelled like stale cigarette smoke. We arrived and had no TV remote. Called the front desk and they brought us a new one. There were what appeared to be leaking spots in the ceiling and walls. Water marks, peeling paint. The drain in the tub was broken. And the worse thing....BUGS in the room! Found a bug crawling in my suitcase! Crawling all over the night stand! Needless to say, I did not sleep well. There was a bag of trash sitting in the bushes outside for two days. Trash strewn all over the out door property. We found the staff friendly and responsive, apologetic for the inconveniences. But seriously, will never stay here again, would never recommend it. I wouldn't even give this gross roach invested place any stars. My family and I went to bed to relax and I felt something on my leg in my bed under the covers and it was a roach I didn't know that at first until I got up to put the light on and for another one on my baby sons back. I lost my mind screaming to wake my family up. I was out of there. Also it smells musky and it was outdated no one on premise to help us at 12 am when this all happened. The toilet was leaking and didn't stop running they have a pull out sofa bed that we found someone's old dirty shorts and how we discovered that was I dropped my keys to the car when I was rushing around trying to flee the disgusting gross should be condemned. Never have I ever on my life. Boca raton is a very beautiful place I'm shocked that in the heart of Boca surrounded by suck beauty that is gross place is here it truly doesn't match the high class area of Boca raton. We were extremely disappointed in our one night stay at the Residence Inn Boca Raton. We arrived at the hotel and the check in process was quick because I had downloaded the app. The exterior of the buildings was disgusting. They were moldy. They were extremely dirty and incomplete disrepair. Upon entry to the room I tripped and almost fell because of how the entryway was set up. The stairway railing leading to the upstairs bedroom was loose and very scary. The beds were in need of replacement as you could feel the springs on your back when you layed down. The continental breakfast was OK it needed a better selection of food. The area in which they had the continental breakfast was so small you could barely move. Overall this was a complete and total disappointment. Marriott should be ashamed to have this in their hotel group. read more

We stayed at the Residence Inn Boca Raton for a couple of weeks recently. In general, the staff was friendly and tried to help us locate local sites and prepare directions to these sites. Our suite was spacious and provided a fully equipped kitchen, as advertised. The daily breakfast was ample and provided a variety of offerings. And the pool was helpful - to cut the heat of the day or just to sun bathe. Our main complaint was the schedule for cleaning the room. We were told at the beginning of the stay that cleaning was once every three days due to the pandemic. So we thought the beds would be changed once every three days. But it turned out that this only occurred once a week; room tidying occurred every three days. And we were sometimes confused how the three days was counted. On one occasion they did not send cleaning staff on a day the front desk led us to believe they would. Someone came the day after. But the next tidying occurred three days after the original date specified but only two days after the actual cleaning, which caused a surprise visit. I suggest that anyone considering staying here nail down what days to expect either a cleanup or a bed change. read more

My husband & I have stayed at this Marriott Residence Inn every year for about the last 10 years or so. The rooms & kitchen are clean & most of all the staff is so friendly & nice. The pool area is small but sufficient for the number of people who usually use it. The general manager, Denise, is very personable & available for any concerns & is quick to make any corrections that are needed. Kevin & Tanya who run the breakfast area each morning are absolutely wonderful & accommodating to any requests -- if they have the items you desire, they will bring it to you willingly. They do a great job of keeping the food items stocked & the area clean. Kookie at the front desk is cheerful with a daily greeting & also willing to help in any way needed. And finally, Fernando, part of the housekeeping staff is also an extremely hard worker who gives a daily greeting & does what needs to be done to make the hotel more pleasant. Thank you everyone!! See you all next year!! read more

I stay at Marriott properties several times a year for work and a couple of times a year for leisure, generally. I like the brand. It's mid-range but clean and comfortable. This, however, was the worst. We checked in on a Saturday and its now the following Friday night and they finally sorta cleaned the place but left several days of wet towels in a plastic bag in the closet. The manager and general manager couldn't care less. We called several times and they assured us they'd clean the place. But that's just the latest. Here's a more complete description: The rooms smell. The walls are peeling. The beds are lumpy. The furniture is gross. The showers are cold. The fire alarms blink all night right above the bed. The hair dryer dies out after five minutes. The room shakes due to its oddly close proximity to tri-rail. The breakfast is nasty. The parking lot bucks up against 95. Tonight and tomorrow night and we are out of here for good. Needless to say, avoid at all costs. read more

We really enjoyed our stay! The front desk staff (assistant manager) was courteous and made my wife and I feel completely welcome. There was a computer glitch in the room Assignments and as a result she gave us an upgrade to a loft efficiency right on the lake with a view so peaceful and serene. Just the sort of calming experience we needed after a 4 hour drive from Tampa. The room was spotless and seemed recently updated. Comfy beds, lots of water pressure in the showers and (my favorite) a flat screen in every room. Cudos to The Residence Inn for hiring caring staff! Can't wait to come back. read more

Initially, the suite seemed great...if you ignore the safety issues of having a loft that a child could fall out of easily with a 12 foot drop. It was so concerning that my son had to sleep downstairs with their toddler, while my daughter-in-law slept upstairs with my granddaughter. But that evening the problems started. My granddaughter developed a terrible cough, and my daughter-in-law got a sore throat. The next day she discovered the mold issue in the vents, and requested a new room. The managers argued about putting them in a different room, and finding a different hotel. Stay away from this nightmare. read more

Not gonna lie. My girlfriend and I love coming here on romantic evenings, and although I haven't told her yet, I intend for us to come here for Valentine's Day this year (and then lunch at Punjab's). As stated below, the rooms here feel like you've got your own little studio apartment or townhouse. I can't really comment on the price, because my girlfriend gets a family discount. You'd kill me if you knew how little I pay to stay at a Marriott (but I digress). The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. It feels like a mini resort getaway, and the hotel is right off a lake with a little gazebo. You get a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning (complete with hot foods like eggs, biscuits and sausage). Marriott breakfasts are never going to blow your mind, but it's better than McDonald's. If you're going to stay at a Marriott in South Florida, this is my recommendation. read more

After 4 days I asked to switch rooms. Awful smell from moisture which they must have known because there was a dehumidifier in the room that I emptied at least twice a day. If that wasn't bad enough, the refrigerator wasn't cold and my food spoiled. Add to that a toilet that wouldn't flush. I was moved to another room but got sick there from mold. Woke up gasping for air. The carpet was wet by the front door. I went to an urgent care facility now because I have severe respiratory problems. Don't stay at this place. I had to leave a week early because I worked up this morning gasping for breath. No apology or compensation from the front desk. Shame on Marriott for knowingly giving contaminated rooms to guests who expect Marriott treatment. I've been out of there 8 days and I still have problems breathing. I filed a complaint with the Dept. of Health. This is inexcusable! read more

I was disappointed in the facility. We attended a wedding with my infant and if there was an alternate hotel I would have checked out!! The room had a horrible damp smell. I saw two roaches. Our towel bar fell off. There were lizards everywhere and stray cats. There is an upstairs downstairs option and my room was on the 2nd level with a baby and luggage which was annoying. I had to go out and buy a pack and play because the pack and play was disgusting. I will never ever stay in this facility again and I would advise against it to anyone who wants a nice comfortable vacation location. read more
