Great venue for football! Went here for the Beaver/Utena game and had a blast! Great options for food and drinks, and a friendly crowd.

Elvis has a whole lotta love for the Beavers

You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away Know when to run I think running may have been involved if my team actually won in Reser Stadium. I attended a game here years ago (pre-renovation) and didn't remember Beaver Nation being quite so fanatical. It started as we drove into Corvallis from Monmouth and saw signs in the fields and flags waving from every car. Our hotel was covered with orange and black and every other person on the street was proudly wearing their colors. We arrived at the stadium about an hour prior to game time after wandering through campus and past blocks and blocks of tailgating fans. My team colors were stuffed in the backpack so we were in commando mode. We were welcomed to the stadium by the OSU marching band playing on the upper deck over the entry plaza. The stadium is beautiful and much larger than I remembered. We found our fellow Cardinal fans in the small visitor's section. It is very similar to Autzen Stadium where you are also a small wedge of the opposing team's fans at the corner of the end zone. Then something amazing happened, the Leland Stanford Jr. University Marching Band (LSJUMB) arrived. This was a surprise since they were infamously banned from the state in the 1990 for some of their typically irreverent behavior at OSU. Stanford fans are pretty low key, but you would not believe the security. They were on high alert because of THE BAND. Our mascot, the Tree, had three personal attendants and got a nice pre-game lecture from a state trooper. And the state police and stadium security had the band on lockdown. LSJUMB is still not permitted on the field, so no wildly inappropriate halftime show. At first I was pretty peeved since one guy in particular seemed to go out of his way to make their visit unpleasant, but he probably didn't appreciate what looked like a beaver coat worn by the band manager. The game was painful to watch from my perspective, but the fans were cool. It would be interesting to see if the dynamic would have been different if we had won. Something amazing happened near the end of the game. The OSU marching band walked over and handed out food and drinks to the members of LSJUMB. It was a really classy move on their part. When the game was over, the bands actually played back in forth, call and response style, for another 45 minutes. So three cheers for OSU and Reser Stadium. Minus one star for Mr. Grumpy in security.

What God-fearing man doesn't love Beavers?

Beaver fans know how to have a good time. Especially when beating a ranked (and highly overrated) team from Wisconsin. By far the most organized field rush I've ever been in and easily the most friendly cheerleaders and sorority sections. Gotta work on those first down cheers though. Sorry.

OSU vs OSU

Had a great time at Reeser Stadium last night. This is an awesome place to watch a game. Not as big as alot of stadiums but big enough for this small town college. Food was good, people are super nice and the weather tonight was perfect.

The commencement walk to Reser!
Marie G.

Commencement was held here June 12th and it was the last time I'll ever step foot onto the Reser field. The field is set up according to the colleges within the university, the OSU band/orchestra was strumming the music as the line of black caps and gowns descended into the stadium and filed into the rows of chairs accordingly. Mind you we have suffered soooo much rain this year and it was still raining as well folded over to the month of June and it turns out that the weekend of commencement it was going to be in the 80's!!! Yeaaaaa boy!!! Wait a minute.... it's going to a be a 2.5+ hour ceremony, it's going to be hot, and we're ALL WEARING BLACK... wtf!!! Luckily, once we got seated appropriately we noticed they had set water bottles for us in front of our seat. Thaaank goodness! But, shit!, there are the speeches. Oh god we're all going to have a heat stroke. Wait, our guest speaker just had a speech that lasted, oh, about 7 minutes??! oh hell yeah! And all he did was talk about space.... and vacuum. anyway... our ceremony was sweet and short, shweeet. and now it's time to line up to get our long awaited diploma's :) I have my bachelor's degree from OSU and into the "real" world i go!!

Yep, that's the potato-salad Reser
Friscoco C.

Informed that Oregon State University's commencement ceremonies were being held in Corvallis' Reser Stadium, my first reaction was, "Potato-salad Reser?" Approaching the side of the stadium, sure enough, Reser's logo on the structure confirmed it: This is a stadium built (remodeled) on potato salad. **"They'll sell you on macaroni. Familiar, but a phony."** (apologies to Jeff Keith, Frank Hannon, et.al.) Its primary tenant is the Beavers football team, and this stadium couldn't be a cooler place to watch a game. All the seats, even the ones in the upper levels, provide a straight-ahead look at the field and are close to the action. The surface is covered in faultless, solid-green artificial turf, and the entire grounds practically sparkle with cleanliness and upkeep. Exploring the east side of the stadium, the indoor section under the upper level is a vast commons area with a snack bar, dining tables and an arcade on the far end featuring videos, pinballs, pool tables, air hockey, foosball and Pop-a-Shot. This is what College Daze is supposed to be about. Although the aroma of fresh popcorn drew me near, I didn't scrutinize the snack-bar menu, but I hear that the namesake sponsor's starchy side-salad products are sold at Beaver games. Leave it to Reser.

One of my favorite stadiums to go to, and the cleanest stadium of the PAC-12. It's easy to get beer and food from this stadium and their employees work great on getting people into the stadium quickly. If you're going to bring a bag in, it needs to be clear, so make sure to bring one from home or walk over to the Beaver Store and buy one!

I've gotten to watch more than a few games here now. I'm no football expert (pretty much the opposite) and I'm not up to date on stadium protocol of design and what not but I've always had a great time at Reser Stadium. It's even better when the beavers are playing as well as they are this season. I must say one thing that was super helpful during the game (for my understanding of the game) was the added feature of subtitles on the jumbo screen, nice touch. My only complaint is the process of getting out of Corvallis after the game ends, talk about a traffic jam. I would suggest staying the night in Corvallis and leaving the next day if you can afford it.

I've been a Duck fan my whole life. I've only known Autzen stadium. Reeser is sad compared to Autzen. And I'm biased.

I had the opportunity to recently watch the Beavers play the Sun Devils, courtesy of my friend who had an extra ticket.

Only wish it came with the usual ponzu sauce instead of the cold vinegary one they serve but we just used the warm tempura sauce instead. Also prefer a lighter off white ginger instead of the pink one they serve which looks like it has artificial coloring. Place is mellow which I like and the lady's are sweet. They were just okay -- the fish portions were really small compared to what I'd get for the same price back home in Austin, TX. Not inedible, but definitely disappointing. My husband ordered the sirloin steak teriyaki, which we assumed would be cooked in front of us since they seated us at a grill table. We held off on giving special instructions like "no onions" or "less sauce," thinking we could just tell the chef directly when the grilling began. We did tell them no onions in the fried rice, though, so we figured they'd get the hint. Thirty minutes later, his food finally came out -- already cooked, drenched in sauce, and loaded with onions. We were surprised because we were expecting a tableside cooking experience, not a premade plate from the kitchen. When we tried to explain, the server rushed off with the plate but didn't clarify that the food would only be cooked in the back. Maybe there was a language barrier (which we completely understand -- I'm Vietnamese and my husband is Greek, so we're patient with communication issues), but the server barely gave us a chance to talk. He returned with the dish again, still not made correctly. At that point, we asked to cancel the order. I had already finished my food, and we were juggling a fussy baby -- waiting over an hour for one meal in an almost empty restaurant (maybe five other people total) just wasn't worth it. Things escalated when we asked to cancel. The server rushed the food back into the kitchen, where he and another woman began shouting loudly. It was awkward and uncomfortable, and we ended up just paying and leaving. In short: subpar food, long waits, miscommunication, and a completely chaotic atmosphere. Definitely one of our worst dining experiences in a long time.
