He listened to me describe mine and my yard's individual need. I had a nightmare situation of invasive tree roots growing from under the fence from adjoining neighbors excessively thorny trees. The consequence were thorny tree shoots growing throughout my backyard and its sucker branches popping up on every 2-3 inches along the way. It eventually took over my lawn area by 25ft + in every direction. And it was growing longer! This made it impossible to walk on the lawn and enjoy without being stabbed and bloodied by long sharp thorns. I needed these tree roots traced and dug out completely all the way to the fence line before applying new landscaping. Gaspar and Henry did an excellent job of removing each one of these multiple roots by hand digging. Very laborious and yet they handled it well in the hot summer sun and doing a complete and excellent job. They did it quickly and I thank them tremendously. I had to make the hard but wise choice of not re-sodding and no longer having a lawn. Steve was very patient and guided me to the right choices of landscape material that would help me eliminate this problem from reoccurring on my yard. I called and spoke with Randeep, who scheduled me within 2 days with an irrigation specialist. I had an appointment this past Wednesday for Danny to come by and take a look at the leak. Not only did Danny fix the leak, he replaced the valve completely with newer, more up to date parts as my home is 20+ years old. After addressing the original issue, he noticed that two of my sprinklers were not functioning and replaced them, even without me asking! Wow! He then recommended that I replace my sprinkler timer as well, since it was also an older/outdated model. I purchased a new timer, in which he took the time to walk me through step by step to make sure I understood how to use the timer and make necessary adjustments and also made sure to go through the schedule not once, but twice to ensure I was satisfied with the watering schedule and overall water flow. During the walkthrough, I noticed there was a huge leak coming from a drip line in my backyard that caused a puddle in my lawn. He explained that the leak in the drip line may have been caused my running it over with a lawnmower or by me accidentally hitting the line with a weed wacker. I asked Danny how much it would cost for him to fix the leak, and he said, "This is such an easy fix, I'm almost positive you can fix it on your own." He then recommended the parts I needed to fix the leak, and sure enough, I was able to fix it on my own! He made sure to keep in contact with me while I went to Home Depot to make sure I bought the right parts. Danny went above and beyond and provided exceptional service! Since I had previously been very impressed with Salvador Gallardo / Authentic Landscape on an…read moreurgent repair for our leaking irrigation valve system, I called on him again for my long dreamed of overhaul of our entire front and back yard beginning May 22, 2024. He advertises "You can be sure that you will receive quality work with a personal touch" which is exactly what I needed. I had a rather vague plan and relied on his expertise to help develop my dream. The major goal was to completely remove all the turf, leaving only the trees, a grape arbor (which Salvador needed to redesign and expand), and a couple areas of plants. We used a turf replacement rebate and he and Jesus, plus his sons Christian and Jesse, spent 2 weeks digging out all the nasty weeds and a several-inch layer of dirt. Our irrigation system was converted to sprinklers for the garden areas and drip lines around the outer areas of trees and original landscape plants plus a new control unit. Some of the trees required some pruning also. It was fun working with Salvador to figure just where my front and back "gardens" and pebble pathways would go. We added slabs of flagstone around the front and back faucets and replaced the remaining area with shredded wood. Additionally, he replaced one entire gate and had to redesign and repair of my second gate. My back garden is essentially a lawn replacement of ground cover plants, and the front garden utilized a lot of succulents and several other plants dug out and from my pots plus lots of poppy seeds. We added some ground cover and a variety of other plants I found on clearance sales. We incorporated my collection of granite rocks, and I've continued detailing with decorative features to make my "Never Too Late For A Happy Childhood" theme garden with fairy, farm, lighthouse, and Santa and reindeer areas, lots of solar lights/fireworks, windchimes, spinners, toys and sculptures, While reasonably priced, it was an expensive project but, after 20 years of dreaming, so worth the smile I can't quit. Obviously I continue to highly recommend Salvador and Authentic Landscape. The guys worked very hard and were a pleasure to have around. Being able to make well advised adjustments as work progressed was a great advantage to accomplishing my desires.
