I didn't have a problem with them for 3 years, until I told them I'd be moving and when my last day would be. They picked up my cans a week early, and when I called to ask why, the girl on the phone said she'd help me out, put me on hold for a very long time and then hung up on me. It was Friday afternoon before closing, so I guess instead of actually helping me before they closed, it was easier for her to just NOT help me, and not get us cans to use for the last week before our move. Now I have to find a different place to take a weeks worth of trash- because you know, I don't have anything else going on, like a move across the country with 6 kids! If we ever move back, I will not be using them again. Update: The manager was adamant about fixing the problem, and sent another can. If this ever happens to you, contact the manager directly, and don't deal with the person who hangs up on you. He actually cares about his business, and doesn't want his employees behaving like this. I updated my original review stars from 2 to 4. read more

These guys are the worst disposal drivers in my neighborhood. If I drove like this I'd have my license suspended. I'm surprised they haven't killed anyone yet. They pull past my alley & back down it at unbelievable speeds, they back down streets, around blind turns, & on hills. A FedEx truck almost collided with a trash truck just now because of their backwards driving. I've lived in this neighborhood for a year now & watch Springs Waste, Waste Mgmt. & these guys every week. Best Way is by far the worst way!!! I've seen them hit branches & spill trash in my alley that they don't care about. They drive like crap, don't hire them if you have an option!! Get them off the streets - everyone will be safer for it! read more

My bill came due, but I did not recognize that my trash was not being picked up since we do not create much trash, so I was late. My mistake, however; that does not constitute a $25+ late fee. On top of that I will still charged for the two weeks they didn't pick up. That equates to a $40 fee for being two weeks late on a $90 bill while not receiving the service. Definitely bad customer relations. Phil- I was not even close to 45 days late, and I was never offered "credit" even though there was no "extra" trash. Maybe you should train your staff on your polices rather than having them give lip to their customers. In addition, after reading the complaints below I checked back, and I did not receive a bill until after it should have been due stating a later due date that was well before I paid (so I had not overlooked paying your billing department screwed up). Although it is obvious this was an issue with other customers your staff did not mention that could have been part of the problem. Once I again, I reiterate the importance of properly training your staff so that conflicts can be resolved prior to being escalated to the point that customers abandon your business. At the end of the day, I paid your fraudulent, trumped up late fee, but you will no longer get my business. read more

Alpine picks up my trash and my recyclables. I also pay separately for them to pick up my compost. I have no problem with their on-time service and their leaving the area clean. The one time my recycle bin was not emptied, I called, and they came back the next day. About once a year, because of wind, possibly, one of the containers doesn't land upright after the emptying. That's okay. In Golden, our trash and recycling pick up is subsidized by the city so our costs are definitely lower than if I selected a company, other than Alpine. I would like to see all Golden residents take advantage of Golden's contract with Alpine. #1 they are faithful to our assigned pick up days and leave the area cleaned up. Sometimes items may fall or blow out when dumpsters or overfilled. Alpine does ask that the dumpsters only be filled to a level so the lid can close. #2 we pay considerably less. #3 it would mean fewer heavy trucks on our streets so less street repair and noise. The City of Golden Public Works offers classes where all concerns or questions can be answered by city employees. I also took advantage of their free offer to take bus trips to Guanella Pass, Golden's primary source of water, and to the Alpine Recycle site and the Alpine Composting site. The more you learn, the more you're good with Golden's trash, recycling, and composting offers. Plus, I find the Alpine employees to be friendly. Nice! read more

I have been a customer of Bestway Disposal for many years. Recently, I have experienced several billing issues. I mailed a payment in January 2016 which was never posted to my account. I received another bill in February and promptly sent another check. I week later I called and confirmed that they had received it. I assumed that all was well again. In March, I again received a bill. This bill was for service which was to start in April. I paid that bill in mid-April as I usually do. Again, I received a bill in June for the July-Sept billing period. I called on July 6th was told that they now send out bills a month prior to the service period and expect payment before the service starts. As of this writing, my trash has not been collected. All of this occurred with no explanation as to why they are now billing a month earlier. I am not interested in doing business with a company which thinks it can collect money a month and a half earlier that a year ago with no explanation. This company can no longer be trusted. I suggest you do business elsewhere. read more

Worst service ever, horrible drivers, and they don't take trash, isn't that your sole purpose of existence why are you leaving bags of trash behind did I miss the 2 bag limit memo, oh and thanks for throwing my cans back in my garden I get it's winter but still!!!!!!! read more

Update: Talked with the manager Judd, he claims that he apologizes for the mix up and that since I canceled my service I didn't have to pay the bill, thing is I still had a check in the mail going to them from before I realized they had dumped me and I told him that, he said that they'll tear up the check and not cash it in. Next day, my bank told me they cashed it in. So not only did they dump me without letting me know, they took my money too! Just goes to show that while they may or not pick up your trash, Bestway will certainly not fail to pick up your cash (and stuff it into their pockets). read more

We've had Bestway for several years and never had a problem until the last three or so months. In the past three months, they FAILED to pick up our trash FOUR TIMES. Today was the fourth time and it was the final time. I was absolutely livid and called back. Being upset and after having three strokes, I cursed, and explained why I cursed. If you have a stroke, you tend to curse more than had you not had a stroke. At least that's what my doctors explained to me. I had three strokes and when I get upset I tend to curse more than normal and I tend to make Linda Blair in THE EXORCIST look like Mother Theresa. In any case, the operator let me speak to a "Manager" who abruptly hung up on me when I was trying to cancel my service. Oh well, "BITCH" I thought and probably out-loud. I called back to cancel my service and once again had to explain why I was cursing and could not stop cursing. She agreed to cancel my service, but offered no refund for the lack of pick-up service missed (Other than once where I was reimbursed), but offered to have someone come out and pick-up the trash that was not picked up earlier. About an hour later, after 5 pm, someone came by to pick up the trash, after I called and complained about their service. The once good service of BESTBUY was completely ruined by the lack of trash pick-up four (Minus one after I called to complain again) times in less than two months. This makes BEST BUY one of the worst services I've had in years. It was also ruined by some SO-CALLED-MANAGER who couldn't even listen to my explanation of why I had to curse so much. Nothing personal, but GET A FREAKING LIFE!!!!! I could obviously tell they must have hired a new driver and collector and didn't train him or her well since and a new manager who needs MUCH MORE TRAINING and CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, I had to call several times in the past two months to let them know my trash was not picked up again!!! read more

I have never seen hustle like I saw today from the two gentlemen taking turns driving and dumping trash barrels into the big red truck. These two guys were more efficient than the four-man teams I have happened to have seen in past neighborhoods where I lived. One drives a few feet as the other jogs along side the truck. These two sinewy fellas are tossing about the big 'ole brown barrels like they're office buckets. They drive through our community like Sherman through Atlanta, never stopping until every house has been serviced. They must be freakish world class athletes because the strength and stamina they require to sustain the pace at which they work is extraordinary. Most importantly, they take the time and have the respect to carefully place each barrel back into the driveway, and give any customer who happens to be outside a friendly wave and genuine smile. These guys love their work and are impressive professional examples for anyone seeking to demonstrate how hard teamwork gleans results. I hope their management fully appreciates the hard work, commitment and productivity these gentlemen bring to the Bestway organization. It was among the most impressive displays of work ethic I have seen...ever. God Bless those guys. Thank you for your great work. read more

I have done business with this company since 2006 I canceled services for about a year around 2013 however went back to them in 2014. They are far from a good company. They raise rates say they send out notices never happens. They lose payments which come directly from your banks pay which means your back pays them directly, never contacting you there is an issue. They put the trash cans directly in the drive way not back on the corner where they find it. If they spill they do not make sure all is cleaned back up. My biggest is the hick of pick-up cost going up by 10.00 with no notice. This time I will not return. read more

I'm a resident of Belmar and our garbage pick up day is Thursday. I had our garbage out in front of our gargage and one bag on the side of the can in plain site. It was 90 degrees out and they came to pick up the garbage and left the bag that was next to the garbage can. I called them to no avail. The gal I spoke to said she would call the truck to come back. Nope no truck I called again at 2:00 the gal did not understand what needed to be done . Pick it up I said . No truck I called at 4;30 she said I'll check you guessed it no pick up . So I called Friday at 10:00 am a man answered he said he had No notes of any request to have it picked up . He was nice but no pick up ! Buy now the garbage just stunk. So my husband and I put the stinky Bag in our car and drove to a dumpster so it would not stink up our ally ! Are you kidding me what type of service is that ! They are totally unserviceable and lazy the girl on the phone sounded like I woke her up from a nap . Very unprofessional and will not do there job . All 3 people I spoke to dropped the ball .They had zero interest of solving the problem . I pay them. Go to a more professional company that works with there paying customers. This Company could care less . read more

My family has been with Bestway for over 16 years. up until about the last year everything went well. They advertised that if our cans were in sight, they would pick up anyway if we forgot to set the bins out. If we did not receive an invoice or neglected to pay right away they were patient and understanding and only began to request payment again after the first month of the billing cycle. In other words they went above and beyond the call of duty. They were prompt and consistent and I had nowhere that I could have seen improvement. Out of nowhere, approximately three cycles ago my trash service was cut off less than 5 days into the first month. The bins, when picked up were manhandled to the point of leaving our landscaping rocks spread around over a large expanse of sidewalk. The bins were not taken to the curb once, but my bins were always resting against the house near the garage. No one came to get them. The clincher was when we had the big snow storm last winter and the mail did not run. We were cut off from service when our check did not arrive by the promised date. Any issues that were brought to their attention were met with indifference and lack of caring. Whether it was new management, new policies, or old policies being re-implemented, the precedence that was set for the first 15 years of quality service, should have been considered the rule not the exception. Bestway lost a 16 year customer and we will drive our own trash to the dump before we ever call them again. read more

I loved the guys that picked up our trash in the morning, but I noticed every quarter our bill kept going up. I decided after paying $75 every quarter (no recycling), to look for another company and found one for $45 a quarter. Unfortunately, when I called to cancel, the lady was rude and would not let me get a refund for the remaining time left, which was fine, and kept telling me I could not cancel until after October. I told her I didn't care, I just wanted to be done and she just wouldn't cancel our service. Finally I had to interrupt her and tell her I was done and to please pick up our can. We shall see what happens on Friday.... read more

Just wanted to let you know what a great job your employees do everyday going above and beyond in the wolf ranch area. I know it's typically a thankless job but I wanted to thank all of the guys that handled that huge wind fiasco we had awhile back. Greatly appreciated. read more

WORST Customer service! The recycling is great, however trash service and customer service is TERRIBLE.

This morning I jumped up after hearing the trash truck pulled up knowing I forgot to take it out. As i was throwing clothes on I noticed out the window that the considerate trash man from Bestway walked up to the side of my house and wheeled it down the drive. Now thats service! I have never forgot before. This is why I stay with Bestway. This is going above and beyond and thats exceptional to me. Thank you Bestway!! read more

This company is amazing! We couldn't put our trash out last night due to the crazy high winds. The driver rang our doorbell this morning so we could get it to the curb for pickup. He said he understood that it might not have been out due to the high winds last night. That is unbelievable customer service! Thank you to the driver who made the extra effort this morning! They have never missed a pickup day and their rates are affordable. You should check them out! read more

The Best Way employees are amazing! We forgot to take our trash cans out this morning and they knocked on our door and waited for us. They even offered to pull our recycling bin out to the curb for us. I would never have expected them to do this. Amazing people and amazing service! read more

So impressed! I put out a bunch of pretty big broken tree branches from the wind....Lo and behold they were gone the next morning! I was actually going to haul them off somewhere....but they disappeared! Thanks so much. read more

Terrible customer service! Tried to cancel the service but they said my contract from 2006 rolls over each year if I don't cancel by January 1. So now I have to wait until 2016 and keep paying the HIGH PRICE they charge!! Their competitor gave me a $2.70 less per month rate!! read more

I originally was upset about a miscommunication with the company. I posted a yelp review this morning and not even an hour had passed before I had a response from the companies owner. Wow!!! That is great costumer service. I am willing to try this company out. They really listen to their customers. Great Job!! read more

I had really bad service through another well known trash company in my area, so I researched prices and reviews in my area. Best Way seemed the best way to go. Prices were reasonable and they seemed to have everything in order. I've had service with Best Way for a little over a year. There was one incident where a neighbor added trash by my cans that incurred an extra charge. When I received my bill I called. The issue was quickly resolved and the fee removed from my bill. I had them add a note to my account not to take extra trash without prior approval. Things were great over the next few months, then about a month ago I received a phone call saying I had too many cans. I removed one and the next week I received another call saying my cans were too big. So I removed one and replaced it with the original 32 gal. can. I started out with. Originally I started with a 64 gal and a 32 gal with 2 trash bags on the side. Now they're telling me each 64 gal counts for two trash cans. I'm tired of the weekly calls requesting approval for extra charges. Why is my 64 gal trash now an issue? Best Way is good for about a year, then it's time to move on. read more

I requested to close the account and pick up their precious cans. They told me that I would have to send in a self addressed envelope to receive my refund of prepaid service fees. I told the representative that they could deduct the $.47 cent postage fee from the refund. I was absolutely appalled at the request. This is the cost of doing business. You take money and do not earn it then must refund. read more

I have been with Best Way Disposal since 1998. In the last few months they have dropped the ball miserably in their pick up service. I have had to call the last four weeks after going home early afternoon and realizing that my trash had not been picked up. with my hectic work schedule, this is not something I should have to constantly worry about doing. sorry, I am cancelling my service. It's time to find a company that actually shows up on time. read more

They advertise such great service but in the last two years I have had to replace every trash can I own. They do not put the lids on and I have seen them throw the trash can back into the enclosure after emptying it. I have had my new trash can for two months now. Last week I watched as they threw the lid in my yard 6 feet away. Today they barley had the lid on. Yet they advertise that they secure the lid. Just recently they raised prices but I keep having to buy new trash cans. Not impressed. read more

We have had Bestway for 6 months before we moved and was happy with their services. I had called to transfer services to our new place. Bestway picked up are trash starting 6/8/16 and for the next 2 weeks after that. In the beginning of July we noticed our trash wasn't picked up so the next day I contacted Bestway to see what was going on since nothing was mentioned to me on the phone, didn't receive a email, and lastly nothing in the mail letting me know I had a balance. I found out that they didn't pick up my trash since I didn't pay my bill for June. I ended up paying the amount right away since someone left a vm saying oh you owe money and that's why your trash wasn't picked up and now we have so much trash now all because I didn't have warning that they would cut me off.I just hope I don't get billed extra since I was never made aware of the situation. Company's send a billing notice and atleast try to get ahold of someone before cutting them off. The company needs to have more communication with their customers. After my trash gets picked up this week I will be calling to cancel. I won't recommend this company to anyone looking for a trash company. I just wished they would of gave me a courtesy call especially when you are locating from one part of the city to a different area. I would of paid the bill right away if I knew about it. read more

I'm giving the one star for the people that actually come and pick up the trash the boots on the ground. I called two days ago they said that they would have my trash can out to me that day at my new home which they didn't. So I called yesterday they assured me that they would have my trash can out to me and they didn't. So I called today which is a Friday and they assure me that they'll have my trash can out. When I called apparently I spoke to a manager that was lacking customer service experience. She was rude disrespectful cut me off while I was speaking multiple times try to talk over me and tried to tell me that I was wrong. So dealing with somebody like that I obviously couldn't take her where that I have my trash can out so I called back and spoke to a nice young lady who told me my trash can would be out today. I have a bad taste in my mouth for this company simply because of their one employee. If I don't receive my trash can today I'm going to be bringing all of my trash down to their parking lot and leaving it there. read more
