I used this parking structure quite often, it's my go to on a bad weather day. The spaces are limited due to accommodating the private residents in the newly developed lofts above. Once in, you have the option of paying for parking on the second floor, cash and credit card accepted or on the lower level where credit card is the only option. The parking lot and the elevators are always clean and love the fact that there is security cameras all over that garage. However, the only downfall is that when you go to insert your paid ticket, the space is extremely tight. If you have an average size car, you will have no choice but to get out of the car. And if you're driving a truck, good luck, I've seen the passenger mirrors get snapped off. If you're lucky there's an attendant that stands there to grab your ticket from you and insert it for you. Republic Parking Systems - New lofts above. - Parking Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

Who cares about a parking lot? Not you. Not until I say the magical words: Free Parking. All city lots are open for free all day Sunday, so if you have something to do downtown, do it then. Republic Parking was pretty forgiving one day when I parked in the lot and then realized I'd forgotten my wallet. They just took my address and sent me a bill in the mail. The city of Ann Arbor also has scheduled free parking days during the Christmas shopping season in the past, but you have to take that as it comes. No promises from me. Please keep in mind that city surface lots are not available during the Art Fairs, but you can park in somebody's front yard for only $20 per day. read more

Don't park here if you don't have to. They are rude and they will boot your car if you are over the line of which is not posted. The only signs posted are do not hang over the rear line. I thought that meant make sure your car is not so far out to interfere with moving vehicles. They charged 75.00 saying I took two spaces. I am a monthly parker, spaces are not 75.00 a day. They say the money goes to the city of Ann Arbor, but I made the check payable to Republic Garage. This just doesn't seem right. I paid because the person next to me parked over the line. There was plenty of room next to me so I thought I would be ok as that space butted up to a wall and was bigger. Please do not park here. read more

I have a monthly limited overnight pass at the Library Lane lot ($30/month) where I can park overnight between 3pm and 9am. Everything was fine for the first 6 months or so, but about a month ago they changed the rules about overstay (past 9pm) charges without notifying me. They claimed that they had notified my employer, which makes no sense because I buy the pass myself, and they have no contact with my employer (who isn't even in Ann Arbor). Every Monday, I have to call them to reset my pass so that I can leave, which takes up to 5 minutes, as the staff never seems to know anything about the overnight pass or how to reset it. Recently, they have started charging me an additional $40/month with no explanation of the charges. When I call to question the charges, no one answers the phone. I'm usually pretty patient, but I will not be buying another monthly pass because this is simply too much to put up with. I would highly not recommend RPS, or at least the Library Lane lot. Unfortunately, they have a parking monopoly in A2 so I'm unsure how others can avoid them. read more

I find navigating and parking in Ann Arbor to be a pain in the rear. It's why I don't shop and dine there more often. But, a couple of city lots fun by Republic Parking Systems make life easier. It's about the same price to feed a meter on a side street, but I like the lots with the tickets better. With meters, maybe you pump in $1, thinking you'll be gone an hour. If things take longer than you estimated, you either have to dash back to the meter and feed it or risk a ticket. In the lots, you accumulate the time and pay as you go out, no worries about staying too long. And, you can pay with a $5 and don't have to cough up a bunch of quarters like you do for the meters. My favorite lot is the one behind Seva and the Comedy Showcase, near the corner of Liberty and Fifth. It's near all kinds of stuff, including good places to eat, cool art galleries, and lots of bookstores. read more

They are the worst when it comes to parking. I barely parked over the line as a college student, with plenty of other available spots let me add, for one night and I get a $75 boot. During this COVID pandemic I would have assumed they would be more lenient, especially to a college student, but I was wrong. They just want to take your money. This service is a joke. Do not try and speak with Dawn Salo about it either, she will just basically tell you to shove it and does not care to hear your concerns, just wants your money. read more

Went to take my daughter to the museum, pulled into the structure, received my ticket, and parked at close parking spot to the front. I'm not from Ann Arbor, in fact, I live 45min away and was my first time ever in that city. Figured I was fine seeing as the spot I parked in did not have a reserved sign. The cars next to me did, but only sign I saw in my spot was a carpooling thing. Came out of the museum to find my car got towed. I took them to the spot I was in to show them I had no sign where I was parked and they just kept arguing and did not want to accommodate us. The tow company is a different story, but I had to walk uphill for 45min with my 7 year old child and all they offered to do was give us water bottles for the trip. I will take every precaution to never park in this structure again. Or any structure with this name. read more

Art Fair Parking. I came to work 2 hours early to park at the 1st and Huron Lot. I paid my money, and then was instructed where to park. Which was as far from Ashley as I could get, yet there were tons of spaces open closer to Ashely. I was very upset, as I came early so That I might park closer to Ashley as I work on Main Street. I have some minor disabilities, this is why I always park closer to Ashley. I feel very unhappy as some one who pays to park in this lot year round, not just during Art Fair. Recently there has been a change in management. Up until that change, the lot on Ashley between Liberty and William St was open from about 3 am to 8:30 am. This was a godsend to those living near that area without off street parking since there is no over night parking within several blocks off that lot. Once new management took over they made a change to the policy WITHOUT NOTIFYING ANYONE. So unbeknownst to me, I was hit with a gigantic parking bill simply because I didn't know and had no way of knowing until I talked to the employee manning the booth. He was very helpful and sympathetic. However, I will avoid all Republic Parking lots from now on and encourage others to do so. Not giving notification was just a really mean spirited thing to do to in order to gain a few extra dollars. read more

I Parked here for only 15minutes. I lost my ticket and guess what! They charged me 37 dollars. I asked to speak with a manager and it took about an hour. Then would not work with me on the price. They basically blamed me. 37 dollars is alot of money for such a short period of time. read more

Lost my ticket. Asked to explain my case to a manager. Waited half an hour for a manager, who works in 10 blocks away, to get here, only to get "No, policy is policy - that'll teach you not to lose your ticket again." Uh, thanks, could have saved me and you 30 min. each, if you just said no on the phone. Ended up paying $30 for an hour of parking, which I probably deserved for losing my ticket, but wasting 1 hour total for nothing, when we could be doing something else? Anything else. To make our city, or country better. Wasting yours and others' time is just inconsiderate, plain and simple. read more
