I saw a picture of Report Inn's Loaded Grilled Cheese sandwich weeks ago and promised to try it out someday. Well, that was before this quarantine thing happened. Then, today I found out that Report Inn now is offering online food ordering through smartonlineorder.com and gave it a shot. I chose a time to pick it up, a waiter brought my Loaded Grilled Cheese to my car, I returned home and devoured it. The sandwich is made with two over easy eggs, three slices of bacon, hashbrowns, three cheeses, to which I chose to add pickles, onion, and tomato. While I have had egg sandwiches before, this one has to be one of the best yet. It was a little messy being hard to keep it all in one place, but it was delicious. The waffle fries were also on par. My only regret I had was I could not experience the bar itself. But being take out / curbside it seemed as though some renovations were going on inside. I was fortunate to find this place only a few weeks ago. It appears to have a good beer selection which they post new beers to UnTappd which I now follow. I might have to come back and order a Crowler of one of their selections, but anyway I will be back. read more

Tacos and margaritas are pretty good and a great value for their Taco Tuesday special. For $11 you get two tacos, cheese dip and a beer or margarita. Our waitress was friendly and the service was quick. They have other specials and the food always looks good. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for some really good bar food. read more

What a great local dive bar! My husband and I walked in here at 9:30 pm for some late-night grub and were not disappointed. The burger was huge and delicious, and the wings were surprisingly some of the best we've had in Omaha: thick Buffalo sauce, house-made blue cheese, and crispy skins on the wings. Sad we haven't been able to get in for a few months, but the growler and Moscow mule pack to go was just what we needed on this sunny Saturday (after a little hail that is) These guys have made the best of this situation. Offering to Ice your friends for getting 50 bucks in gift cards? PRICELESS. Their food has always been solid and delicious. Need a meat fix? Steak tips or patty melt is where it's at. Hungover? Loaded grilled cheese will satisfy and cure almost any ailment. Bar food craving? Some of the best nachos I've ever had and corn fritters are a must! And the Bloody Mary's speak for themselves. We had a semi-good experience last year with my husband just going in to get a take-out order. The staff wasn't super friendly (his impression), but he said they took care of him alright--gave him a little extra because they were very busy and the wait was a bit long. Our impression of the daily special was very favorable. Our second stop today left us cold. My husband wears a face mask because of lung disease. He said he was harassed the entire time he was in there! I asked him if it was just the customers. He said no---it was also the staff and management. Disgraceful. I know everyone is sick of this pandemic, but I don't treat people crappy just because they are maskless. My husband is a healthcare worker and is used to being heckled---but this was like junior high. And the food was inferior today. So disappointing. We won't be back. read more

I was in the mood for fried pickles and due to a Facebook group post ion where to find some good ones I decided to give the place a try. I was able to order online - fried pickles - wings 1/2 garlic Parmesan 1/2 Buffalo - char buffed. Walked into the place and was taking back on how small it was and the smell of a cigar. Couldn't figure out where it was coming from but is was very prominent. Very noisy with music thumping and some patroons dancing in their seats at the bar having a good time. I'm getting old, way to loud in that little spot. Finally flagged someone down to get my order and left. The fried pickles were good , that is the only reason it got 2 stars - nothing wrong with them and they remained hot the whole way home. The wings were absolutely horrible. First thing they were definitely not char buffed and it lead to slight irritation considering they charge $1 more just to run it through their pizza oven. The skin on the garlic Parmesan ones were slimy and I couldn't muster through one of them. The Buffalo ones were slightly better , made it through one and then dumped them. We drove all the way over here from the east side of Omaha for a Bloody Mary and we were not disappointed. The bartenders are super friendly and cheerful. The boyfriend and I ended up sharing the Bloody Mary, but we'll probably come back and get our own the next time we have more time to chill in the area (and not have to drive afterwards). They have tons of TVs and were playing college football when we went on Saturday. Could be a great place to watch a sports game. We were in the area looking for something new. The outside doesn't do the inside justice. The inside is modernized, welcoming and has tons of TVs. The service was SPECTACULAR. I've been to the Report a lot more than any other Bar in Omaha. I like it, it's just a neighborhood bar, but it's my go to now because it's close and the owner is as cool as they come. Super friendly and remembers your drinks after one conversation. The rest of the staff has always been nice and helpful. The food is your typical bar food, with some exceptions. The insane wings are hotter than I expected. Usually most Bars have an "insane" or "Extra Hot" and it's your average hot, Reports Insane is hotter than that but not burn my face off like Rays. This was hot but I was still able to eat them all and enjoyed them. The burgers are good and my favorite app is the Jalapeño Corn Fritters. The beer selection is great! Lots to chose from and they switch it up all the time. So there's always something new to try. The bathrooms are average, the urinals are kinda close but as long as someone's not too drunk, there shouldn't be any splash back or splatter sprinkles. Unlike most bathrooms, I haven't pooped here, so I can't review the TP or the comfort of the seat. There's no graffiti or bathroom wall reading so i can't tell you who to call for a good time. Lots of TV's to watch sports or whatever you wanna watch. I'm partial to this place but I'm still trying to be unbiased so I'm giving it a 4, it would be a 4.4 but yelp doesn't allow it still, which is stupid cause there should be a better rating system at play. read more

This is a no-frills, neighborhood-ish bar, in West O. I do not drink, so I am commenting on the rest of the experience. I came in for a special they were running, $2 quarter pound sliders. A coworker and I ordered two each and shared a basket of fries, which are waffle-cut. The fries were really good; crispy, with very good texture overall, and seasoned well. The burger on the other hand was disappointing in terms of flavor. The bun was fine, but the patty was not seasoned at all, at least to my taste. The meat was cooked OK, leaning on more well done. The service was friendly, though, and the restaurant side clean. Overall it's like a 3.5 for me. Based on the fried though, I would like to try other things; they are that good. read more

Cane A girlfriend and I came in for lunch and it will be the last. I ordered the Club Salad and my friend ordered the Ruben. My salad consisted of lettuce, cheese, olive and what looked to be Oscar Mayer ham and turkey cut in these long slices. I asked for my bacon well done a bit, thinking it would be cooked, and it came out in fatty pieces and it was ice cold. My friends Ruben wasn't even edible and believe me, this girl knows her Ruben's. When I questioned our less than cheerful server, she said that's how it comes. I've yet to try the highly-touted bloody mary here. It's just such a commitment! Instead, I've had beers and some of the food items during my visits here. First off, the tap list is extensive and quite impressive for a small bar like this. It's a very nice find. Of course you can have Bud Light if that's your thing, but if you like to taste your beverage there are plenty of other options. The food has been consistently good; the wings and nachos are much better than many other local places. The jalapeno corn fritters are a favorite and pack a bit of a kick! My step daughter was turning 21, so I figured what better way to welcome her to "legal" drinking than with a ginormous Bloody Mary. We also ordered fried pickles, nachos, Philly cheesesteak, 2 burgers with fries, cheese sticks, onion rings, boneless buffalo wings and 7 drinks, the total bill was $120, not bad! First the drinks, I did not taste the margarita, but the person who did said it was pretty good and it was a decent size and strong. I had a Long Island iced tea, it was also a good size and pretty strong, but there was waaayyy too much sweet and sour mix in it, it was as tart as a margarita which was why I didn't order one and it was tequila heavy, so it was more like a margarita with coke in it. One person at our tables ordered a tequila sunrise, it was pretty decent again tequila heavy (I am in no way complaining) and not too sweet. Now that Bloody Mary, it came with a fried pickle, onion rings, olive, a hamburger, waffle fries regular pickles and a celery stick. The food on the the stick in the drink was all good, I really liked the onion rings, the celery had obviously been soaking in water for at least a couple of days, it was super watery, so I didn't eat it. But the Bloody Mary, I do not like Bloody Mary's, but this one was really really good, I would definitely order it again, it had the right amount of tobasco and the flavor was spot on. 2 thumbs up. The food was all pretty decent, I enjoyed the onion rings, they weren't too greasy, put the breading could have used a little more flavor, the buffalo wings were just ok, the fried pickle slices were really very good and I liked the fact that they use quartered pickle slices instead of pickle chips. The nachos were decent as well, I ordered with flour tortillas which was definitely the way to go. The Philly was just ok, nothing special. The service was slow and the food came out intermittently, not together and the waitress accidentally dumped the first huge glass of Long Island on the table, and didn't do a good job of getting it up, in her defense it was pretty busy. It was loud, but it is a sort of divey sports bar. I would go there again just for the experience of the huge $18 Bloody Mary, but I wouldn't make it my go to sports bar. read more
