That way you can dispute the weight they tell you. The last trip I made, to a different recycling location, an honest one, was less and I was paid almost twice as much. This happened to me another time at this location a couple years ago. I hoped it had changed but still the same here. They will short you if they can. I won't trust them again. Dishonest business.

Employees helped us unload our truck and even helped us sort some bottles on individual colors. This never really happened before. Which is nice because it does speed up the line. They now have an Express line for CRV recycling for people with smaller loads. Most of the employees were helpful and nicer too. I appreciate that because nobody really wants to be here and it makes the whole process a bit more tolerable.

I drop the bags that we sorted at home into provided separate barrels , hand them off to a kind worker who quickly lifts the plastic & glass bottles/aluminum onto conveyor belts to happily become reusable products, finally handing me a check to take to the nice ladies at the front. My family and I are able to enjoy the $30 we made together. We have checked out Costco for this service too, which I found to be more convenient initially, but my grandmother insisted on this site, and I can see why now. Grandmother is always right :) I would not go anywhere else to do my recycling, hoping his place remains around forever.

Now they use one of crappy industrial weights, write down the alleged amount on a piece of paper and you get what you get. I took in an amount that had been accumulating for almost a year. Would have amounted to 250-300 dollars via their prior process. Got 185 bucks. Don't waste your time. This place is no longer any better than the rest and they'll try to chisel you.

Unlike all the other services I called requesting a message for a call-back, Phil answered the phone first ring, on a Saturday! His enthusiasm and can do attitude was second to none! He was booked that day but offered to come on Sunday to help us out. He and Gilbert called an hour in advance, as promised, and arrived exactly on time.
