Great service, very responsive. I contacted PJ via instant messaging and we discussed price and a pick-up time and date. Easily came to an agreement to remove a partially in-ground spa. My elderly father needed some stuff removed from his garage and backyard. I don't live in the same town so I called Coast Junk to see if they can have someone go out and give him an estimate. I spoke to Phil, who is also the owner. Not only did he go out to give my dad an estimate, himself, but he loaded everything into his truck, right then and there and hauled it all away! It's nice to know that there are still honest, hardworking people, that we can trust not to take advantage of our elderly! I honestly have to say that after my experience communicating with Phil, he's one of the nicest, most straight-forward, and understanding individuals that I know. I had contacted him to help haul my outdoor grill and bench and his price was very reasonable compared to the competitors like 1-800-GOT-JUNK. When I asked him who to make the check out to he told me that, though it would normally go to his company, because of the COVID situation, he was giving the money to the mover. He was totally understanding and kind when I mixed up the delivery with another company. To give a bit of background, I was JUST speaking with Phil so I assumed that whoever came by to pick up the grill and bench was his employee. Unfortunately it was another company that didn't go through the proper channels that came by instead. So I basically gave the work to someone else by mistake. I felt REALLY bad about the situation, but Phil responded with kindness and understanding even though his guy had a long drive to get to my place. Saying "These things can happen sometimes" and "not to worry". These days it's hard to keep a positive attitude and we've become more accustomed to not trusting others due to COVID. I've recently had horrible contractors come in to do work even through they've gotten high marks on Yelp so I was prepared for another mess. My husband and I are in full Spring cleaning/quarantine cleaning mode! We had more junk to be tossed out aside from what could fit in our trash and recycle bin. It was an eyesore to look at our backyard with trash/junk build up, so we decided to call Phil with a quick estimate. I took pictures of what needed to be hauled out, and Phil gave me a VERY REASONABLE estimate and was available to come out the next business day. I wasn't available the next business day because of work, but he was very flexible and was willing to come out on my day off. On the day of pick up, he gave me a two hour window. This is truly as good as it gets. Phil gave me a call within *10 MINUTES* of me submitting a request for a quote!! They were able to squeeze in a stop at my place the same day to haul away some old furniture and stuff that we no longer wanted. In the time he called til the time he arrived, my family decided to add a few large items to the haul, and Phil was able to accommodate without issue. I don't know what is going on, but I was suppose to have my old refrigerator removed two weeks ago. I left several messages, and when I finally receive a call back, Phil said his computer was broke and lost all the information.
