    Upside down pineapple cake

Cozy spot to go with friends or a dinner date. You enter through the hotel, walk towards the back to be greeted by the hostess before you can enter. When you go through the doors, you are literally in the 1920's with the dim lights and decor. The lights are low to give a nice chill vibe. No live music when I was there so I definitely want to go back when there is. Our server, Martin, took really good care of us. The food and drinks were amazing. The drink menu has prohibition cocktails and new era cocktails. They have nice wine list and different spirits to choose from and beer too. We had the Repeal Hummus, the Velvet Wok and the Spicy tuna maki roll. For dessert we had the Repeal pineapple upside down cake. Everything was delicious and the dessert was the cherry on the top. Definitely a great spot.

Classy, sexy, professional. In the nicest nook of restaurants/hotels/good times, this speakeasy is well designed for professionals. Anytime there are velvet seats I feel at home. We had a fantastic time, Ben was the best and handsome! He came up with a tasty lavender mocktail for me which was nice topped with lavender foam--yum! I was happy to try pave with caviar and the flavor profile of the entire dish was quite nice! Go, enjoy!!!

We decided to try Repeal on Valentine's day for post-dinner cocktails! I was so happy to see a place like this open in Prince William County. I think Repeal has great potential. The drinks were good but some were not great. The bathtub gin cocktail is one that I've ordered from multiple places over the years, but this one just didn't hit the spot for me. A tiny hint of sweetness was missing from it. Either some honey or some simple syrup would make the drink so much better. This drink just tasted very pineappley but without the sweetness. Overall, the drinks were good, they just didn't wow me this time; but I think they're 100% worth trying because you simply won't find cocktails like this in the area. I think the service was overall good but there were a few kinks that I think might have been due to a busy holiday. I also think if they added some rotating seasonal drinks, that would be really fun as well. The ambiance is moody and luxurious, perfect for date night or girls night. I do want to come back and try some of the food as well.

Had a great time at Repeal. All of the restaurants in that area were booked. We were able to sit at the bar. Ben was excellent and took care of us. The drinks were good and so was the food. My favorite was the bread we ordered and my hubby ordered the filet mignon trio, which was delicious.

I would love to say that Repeal was terrible and service was awful. So that people will not make this the hottest spot in the area. However, it wasn't terrible, it was terrific, and the service wasn't awful, it was awesome. From the personal attention of the staff and bartenders, as well as the management making sure the experience was exceptional, we could not have enjoyed it more. Ben, one of our bartenders, took the time to ask about our personal tastes for drinks and prepared delicious cocktails. We ordered the Parmesan Potato Pave (just delicious), the jumbo shrimp prawns (huge worthy of pics) and the Filet trio. Everything was awesome. Amber the F&B manager made sure we had everything we needed and lent a personal attention that you don't find many places. It's a small very cozy venue with an old time vibe and upscale service. Will most definitely return to try more menu items and explore their drink options further. I just hope this speakeasy stays a hidden gem.

My husband and I have been twice. We didn't have reservations but got on the waitlist online. We got seats at the bar quickly. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. We haven't had a bad drink or food item. Really enjoy the atmosphere and live music.

This was the first time my wife and I have visited Repeal Speakeasy and have a few thoughts. We ordered a few appetizers, some cocktails, some wine, and an entree. Now when it comes to the food. I have to say, I was pretty impressed. Everything we ordered was great and the cocktails were good. The place had an overall chill vibe and it appeared that everyone was having a great time. However, there is one issue that I am sure management may or may not be aware of. Now my wife and I are not speedy eaters and we are also mindful about not taking "too much time" as other patrons make their way in. Having said that, I am not sure that based on the size of the restaurant and the staff working that our experience should have been nearly three hours. When we were first approached, we were asked if our orders had been taken to which we responded "no one has taken our order yet" (thinking it was someone from management). We quickly realized that it was the individual waiting on our table. From there it seemed like we were forgotten. So much so that we saw customers come and go, saw that their wait staff was more attentive and explained the menu, and ultimately having to flag down another wait staff to get our check. In a world where real problems exist, this is no where near a serious issue, however, I can see this being an issue with other customers in the future. Will definitely return!

We enjoyed each cocktail we tried, but faves were the No Name and the Cucumber Poka-Dot.

This is really one of my favorite spots in Manassas. The DMV tends to hype up a lot of places that…read morereally underdeliver in the larger cities around here. Proof is always a hit. The aesthetic is beautiful and feels a little more luxurious. The service is always consistently stellar. The food is always fresh and created with a twist. The entire place has heart. The entire hospitality group that owns everything back there really puts their best foot forward each time I visit any of their places. I literally tell all of my friends about his little compound tucked away in Manassas that offers exceptional food, spirits, and service. I really love this place.

Lots of conversation going on in not an overly huge space, plus music blasting made for difficulty in having a conversation. 2. Portions seemed a bit small and confused on why the desserts are a child's portion. Big time disappointment was the sticky toffee pudding; served with ice cream on top in a glass cup. Where is the sauce to pour over the pudding. 3. Taste: just average, nothing really stood out. Blackberry smash was not anything special. I know you have your own spirits but maybe try adding a double oaked to it. Was really hoping to a great experience and felt that the total for drinks, apps, two main course, wine, and desserts that the price was too much. I walked out wanting a better experience; I was quite underwhelmed.

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.
