It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. All-in-all, this place was wildly helpful, communicated clearly about the work done, and priced fairly. Going into an auto shop as a woman by yourself can be intimidating, but this shop defies that expectation and rises to make for a terrific experience for all. Long story short. My transmission went out while visiting Austin for a show in May. I went to Aamco…read moreand was talked into a rebuilt transmission for $5000! And a 5 yr warranty. The entire process I'm told, "tt great thing about Aamco is, if the transmission goes bad, in any way, we'll fix it free!" I mean, what piece of mind! Right? Well, 2 weeks after they rebuilt my transmission, my motor mount broke. They had "nothing to do w that happening", even though they found a bad trans mount and replaced that. Forgot to check the other mount? No, denied the warranty. Sooooo, I get the motor mount fixed and not 2 weeks later, my Honda w a NEWLY rebuilt transmission wouldn't shift into 4th gear. So I brought it back to my local Aamco and was told my radiator was bad and it ruined my brand new transmission in 6 weeks. They denied my warranty again . This time, quoting me ANOTHER $5000+ I have receipts that show my radiator was replaced 6 months before my transmission was rebuilt. I got scammed. Lied to. Half-truths about how easy and extensive the warranty worked. The manager there is a dishonest person. You can't trust him. Warning: DEFINITELY NEVER go to this specific Aamco!!!!!! I'm not saying every AAmco is dishonest but ai will personally never go to AAmco for anything again. No location. They are not an honest company and do my honor their promises. Please spread the word about this so that anyone you know won't have to go through my last 2 months nightmare.

Audi claimed I needed them in the front and the back. I reached out to five other different places and the lowest quote that I received was $1800. Buddhist garage requested that I bring my vehicle in, in order for them to give me an accurate quote . This was a bit of an inconvenience because I live on the opposite side of town and my work schedule is extremely hectic, but it was worth it. They were able to actually physically look at my vehicle and see what was needed in order to give me a more accurate quote. Turns out my rear brakes are completely fine! It was my sensor that was off, which was $35 to replace. And they only charged me 780.$ for all the work. As a female it is extremely difficult to go into shops and not get screwed over and take advantage of. My sister has been taking her vehicle here for years. I took one of my vehicles here years ago and I will continue to use this garage for all of my automotive repairs. I highly recommend it. They are completely honest, and despite the fact that I was late this morning(I don't recommend that it but it was unavoidable), they understood and still got me out in a timely manner.
