Received a phone call the next morning around 7:30 from Rey's and we set up a same day appointment. I was told they'd be coming to the house from 12-2pm so I left that window open in my day. I was super happy when the technician, Adrian, arrived at 12:05! Very punctual. The house call was $99. This was very fair but also only the beginning. I was hopeful my total wouldn't be too much more. Adrian got to work and took a total of two hours to complete the job. He was very detailed in telling me the issue at hand and informed me more about my current furnace. The cost of everything came out to $324. But this means we're going to have a warm home all winter long, which is priceless. Thanks Rey's! Look forward to having them come back out to service and maintain the air conditioning system.

I have been waiting 4 months to write this review to see if I would have another HVAC issue and so…read morefar it's been smooth. I have been really skeptical of all HVAC companies in the past 5 years. I have been burned by so many HVAC techs and wasted so much money. 4 different companies went through with different shadiness levels giving me different answers for the same HVAC issue. Every company kept telling me my freon was low and i most likely had a leak. One company even told me to just replace my brand new system cause "it was from China" The Jaguar tech (Jeff) definitely gave me some disappointed head shakes at previous work but was the only one to truly put his head down, work, and diagnose the root cause of the issue. He checked every part of the system before he gave me an answer on what he believed was wrong. After the diagnosis he detailed every part of the HVAC unit (and attic unit) and explained to me what he was looking for, what he found, and what he believed was the answer. I never felt like he was up-selling me. It wasn't even a freon issue to begin with and the filter drier needed to be replaced. After another visit and a 4 hour procedure my HVAC unit has been running smoothly all Summer 2026. I will seriously only call this company from now on.

Since I wasn't at the property, I had asked for a quick update. The work was done so fast that the invoice popped up on my phone almost immediately! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I didn't receive a call with an estimate or breakdown of what was needed before the work was performed. Overall, though, it was a very quick and seamless process.

A friend of mine who lives in the same complex recommended A COOL AIR INC. upon which I had reached out. I was hoping to just get it serviced, but because of the age and the freon it used, I was informed that they no longer carry that freon due to it was no longer produced and that I might find a company that has it. Found one that was able to give me 2 more years and very much appreciated the honesty the A COOL AIR gave. November 2025 it was time to change it out. Made the appointment, received the estimate after inspection, was informed of the rebates both for SMUD as well as Federal Tax Credits and gave the go ahead. They had it installed in 2 days' time, and let me tell you, this new system? Makes me come to terms that I never really had a real one to begin with!!! I was given options to which one would work best for my unit (I live in a condo) and wasn't swayed one way or the other. Chose one, and I am SO THANKFUL I did! These few days in the 90's so far have given comfortable and cool air throughout my home and including my bedroom which never cooled off or heated up to the rest of the house. I held off on giving a review because I wanted to make sure the cooling worked and it does!!!! Compared to a "big box" store that quoted me the price of a new car, I'm beyond happy with A COOL AIR INC. and can easily recommend them for your heating and air needs! THANK YOU A COOL AIR INC.!

It's a very different experience than I've had as a Property Manager. He's fixing my central A/C unit, but unlike every other company I've used on rentals, he DIDN'T go straight to "Oh this whole unit needs to be replaced!!" He's actually fixing it!! Amazing!! So, if he comes to your home and says "Oh this whole unit needs to be replaced" then you better replace it. He's legit!!!

I picked him for the most recent because the quality of his work is outstanding - he did a great job at our home. I am very picky, I am an engineer and I obsess on things being right. Well Robert is the same way - his installations are perfection, this latest one he guided us too is going to reduce our renter's heat and air by 50% which is a great selling feature, but what is super cool is that the new unit is dead quiet inside and out. My renters are thrilled - just the sound of air moving - NO FAN NOISE inside and virtually nothing out, and with the unit close to the windows on this condo, another plus. Lastly, I will tell you his price was way better than the several bids I got - it was a no-brainer decision. Thanks Robert !

Ricardo (aka as Ricky) was more reasonable and only charged me a prorated labor rate (based on my scenario, your situation might be different). Ricky also spent time explaining how to DIY for the future if I pursue that route. He provided a lot of helpful tips that YouTube doesn't cover. I let him know this was a roof mount unit, brand, etc. He'd arrive. Didn't like the location, got his equipment, tested the unit to tell me the refrigerant was all but empty. Lacking a comparable resource, I went forward, all the while pricing vacillated and talk of a new unit ensued. Without my knowledge, he had a partner rep show up to assess work for a new unit while still adding the sealant?? I had a second company come out the following day.
