Other doctors brushed it off, but Dr. Houman took the time to truly listen and explain how varicoceles can cause pain and impact sperm quality and hormones. His depth of expertise in microsurgical varicocele repair and testicular pain treatment is obvious. He was thorough, honest, and never pushed unnecessary treatment. The care felt very precise and highly specialized. Since treatment, my testicular pain has significantly improved and my fertility testing showed significant improvement! Just as important, I finally felt confident and supported throughout the process. If you're dealing with varicoceles, chronic testicular pain, or infertility and want a urologist who genuinely specializes in men's health, I highly recommend Dr. Houman.

We were flying back from San Franciso and they were booked solid, but the staff understood the urgency and gave us the first cancellation later that afternoon. Dr. Houman saw me immediately; quickly understood the issue at hand, personally swung into action, and ten minutes later had the situation under complete control. He wrote a prescription, gave me exact instructions what to do and what to look for over the next few days, and scheduled a follow-up appointment a few days later. A week later, the issue is in the rear view mirror and I have urologist for life. Dr. Houman is down to earth, very personal, and clearly cheering you on for success. His entire staff follow his lead - a terrific group of healthcare professionals.

If I could give this hospital zero stars, I would. I honestly don't know who is managing the place…read more While the medical service itself was excellent, the way security operates is deeply concerning--they seem to have more authority than the hospital's own CEO, Kerry Heinrich. Upon admission, we were provided with the hospital's rules and policies, signed all the paperwork, and clearly understood the disclaimers (e.g., personal responsibility for belongings, falls, etc.). After our baby was born, everything went well until the second night. I had to leave for work and asked my mother to stay with my wife and the baby. At that point, security--specifically the third-party company Allied Universal--insisted that I was not allowed to leave because, as the father, it was "hospital policy" that I remain onsite. When I asked to see this policy in writing, both the supervisor, Chris, and another security officer, Emanuel, refused to provide any documentation. They simply repeated that this was a "private hospital with private policies." This was never part of the paperwork we signed nor anything disclosed upfront. The situation escalated when a security officer, who claimed to have created this rule, became upset after I challenged her about it. Emanuel later accused me of insulting her, but my frustration came only from being denied transparency about a supposed policy that does not exist in writing. Mr. Heinrich, if you wish to maintain this hospital's reputation, I strongly urge you to review the conduct of your contracted security company. As it stands, they appear to exercise unchecked authority that undermines both patient experience and trust in hospital leadership. Thank you.

The staff was attentive at his office and they didn't keep us waiting too long on any of the visits. In fact we were in and out fairly quick. It is hard to get them on the phone, but when you get through they are helpful. The doctor gave us good advice and more than one option. He explained everything so that it made sense and didn't try to rush us into an operation, but it ended up being necessary. Would highly recommend!

They scheduled me for surgery and no one called from the office prior to the surgery to give any instructions. I had to call wait 1 hour on hold then they told me to arrive 5-10 minutes prior. I arrived 10 minutes prior and the office was closed, lights were off. After trying to reach the office and paging the doctor with an emergency, they finally realized i was 20 minutes late because I found another location on google maps and thought maybe I came to the wrong office. They told me to wait outside someone would have opened the door but now its too late. I told them I tried calling and it was an answering service. Their response? "You think Im going to keep the office open 24 hours for you?" Very poor communication, very poor service. The lady working in the front office has a very bad attitude. And if they are in the wrong they will gaslight you to the max with the worst attitude. Stay away, find another office!

This review was long overdue. My dad's PCP referred him to see this doctor which I'm not sure if he…read moredeserves that title. I went in with my dad since I manage all his medical related stuff. After a long wait we finally got in the room, he came in with an attitude and he asked few questions which obviously my dad was a little slow to answer so I answered for him. I could feel tension was building up in me because of the way he was talking to my dad. Then at some point in his conversation he called my dad a donkey in Armenian, which might be a common word in his family and for his level of literacy but not in our family especially coming from a doctor. As soon as he said that I told my dad he won't continue care with him. He had already walked out to do a small procedure on my dad but we got up and left and we said we don't want to continue any treatments and left. I called his PCP crying hysterically and they were so apologetic for his behavior. This waste of humanity does not deserve the title and he should not practice if he doesn't know how to talk to an older man who might be his dad's age. It's not like he is the top notch urologist in town, there are plenty of doctors out there who know how to treat their patients with respect. So please stay away from this idiot. I dealt with his office too through my work too and they all are very unprofessional and don't know how to take care of their patients. Do yourself a favor and find a better urologist at cedars or USC and stay away from idiots like this.

Performed 2 procedures. All went well. Treated me with respect and courtesy from the beginning.read more

My dad wanted a second opinion and we went to USC Keck where the MD there wanted to take a very aggressive approach that included removal of an organ. My dad had two procedures to get the situation resolved. Unfortunately my dad didn't take his medicine as prescribed and had to be taken to the ER. Dr. Dikranian was in communication with the hospitalist and the issue was promptly resolved. We are really thankful for Dr. Dikranian for his knowledge and his incredible bedside manner. I am currently doing more testing and lifestyle treatments however I have received opinions from a couple other doctors and they said I may require surgery to resolve these issues, the thing is I have more than one issue.
