To my surpise -- I found the change not only easy but improved in some ways. Seems more up to date and the care is excellent, appointments are extremely easy to schedule, communication is great and records well coordinated between all my providers. Always very helpful with my questions/ concerns and recommendations/referrals -- all spot on. Treatment great. And they have an office to do blood work and testing at the location! -- what a delight -- have not had to make a separate trip to an outside location for Lab Corp or Quest tests as I had to in the past when it was the prior office. I see the same person (Alexandria -- and was delighted to see she is very highly rated when looking at reviews of actual practitioners) -- she is fantastic. That was not always the case before -- before it was Jefferson I saw at least three different there -- all were good but it was often who was available and as such I feel none got to know me well -- which is also important. That said everyone I have encountered there is top notch. This review is based on over a dozen visits there in past four years. (And the 15 prior years were very good -- but this is a different practice now) I understand some people did not like when the office changed over and their old providers left. I have given it time and after I adjusted to the change and got to know the new staff I actually prefer it more now (and the old practice was very good). A few months ago, I scheduled with this doctors office in search of a new primary care doctor. I felt as though I had signs of a UTI, so I called and scheduled an appointment with the doctor. After an hour of waiting, and letting the receptionist know I had a time restraint (hence why I scheduled an appointment), I never saw a physician. I was told she was "too busy with another patient." Amidst of having extreme pain, I asked the young lady what I could do. I was told to urine in a cup and they would call me with the results, along with a script given without a diagnosis. She said it was "most likely a UTI." A few weeks later was mailed a letter stating that I didn't have a UTI, and that since I was peeing blood I should give a call back to the office. I was astounded. I was given a script without any diagnosis, nor was I able to see a physician in which I scheduled for. Fast forward a few weeks, I scheduled an appointment, giving this doctors office another chance to just fill out my physical form, in which I had a physical right before my "UTI" fiasco. I was told I didn't need an appointment upon arrival. So I waited in the seating area for the paper work to be filled out in the back. After waiting I was told the doctor needed to see me. I waited about 30 minutes to see the doctor- extremely unacceptable, considering this happens almost every time I come to this facility. I then see the doctor and she spends all of 5 minutes with me literally talking (not examining), and signs the paper. The only silver lining of this ordeal was one of the young ladies, Kelley, who made sure to always have a smile on her face and carried great conversation. All in all, this facility is extremely disorganized, and the physicians do not care about your time. In addition, it is extremely unethical. I'm not sure how you can prescribe a patient a script without knowing their specific condition? I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. If you're looking for a new provider, I advise you to not go to Advocare Grove Family Medical.
