I didn't report it at work because…read moreI had a hernia the year before and thought it was some kind of scar tissue that I could feel. After finding out this wasn't the case,every doctor or orthopedic I saw they said they couldn't perform that particular operation but knew of someone who could. This was even told to me by the person who performed my original hernia. Each time I looked at the name they gave me it said Bill Myers. Bill Myers serviced the NFL,NBA MLB and NHL. With the I realized he didn't accept any insurance because these athletic teams would just pay cash and put way more money in his pocket.I even new the man that he took golf lessons from and Bill personally called me at dinnertime. I'm just a Union Bricklayer and 12 or 14 grand was a lot of money. I'm sure its much more now.When he called me for a consult I had no expectations.So he said bring 500 bucks and be there at a certain time to be evaluated He said to me you definitely have a sports hernia when do you want to get it done. I asked how much and he told me the same number as before. I wasn't looking for discount but I was hoping I could maybe get on a payment plan but that was something he didn't entertain. Complete waste of my time. Instead of just handing this guy the money he wanted for the procedure,I took my time and called across the country in order to find someone else who could perform the job. I got word another guy in my backyard could also do the job. His name was DR Alan SCHURICHT. I had already called PENN Hospital on 8th and Walnut in downtown Philly. When I asked why so secretive they said if not everybody with jock itch would be here.After sending all my test results and a 30 minute consult we were set up the following week to do the procedure. I was back to doing light squats in 3 weeks while my insurance was welcomed How about that a workingman has his insurance accepted so he can get back to his job. It turns out Sports hernia is just a street name for the injury that Doctors called sports hernia because its a newer injury that lots of athletes were getting that had no name. At the time it was considered exploratory because it was a new. Im pretty sure it was some kind of tear so insurance companies didn't consider it a hernia and therefore didn't know where the injury fit into the insurance coverage part of the business.ALAN SCHURICHT WAS A CLASS ACT AND WOULD BE THE FIRST OPTION FOR ME BECAUSE THE QUALITY OF HIS SERVICE WAS AWESOME. He was a Class act just a nice guy. Im a lil late on my review but I would love to hear what others may have gone through in order to get this procedure done.

I am a new patient ~ traveling from California to continue my IVF journey, after 3 years, 20+ egg retrieval attempts, and 2 failed transfers at another clinic. I have interviewed at least 10 of the top doctors around the country ~ and Dr. Check's reputation is unparalleled for difficult cases. The waitlist for an appointment was well worth it... I finally consulted with Dr. Check just before Thanksgiving, and was so grateful for a glimmer of hope, based on science and his experience. He patiently answered all of my questions, and followed up our call with enough research papers to fill a book, about other women in their 40s he was able to help become pregnant with their own eggs... even DOR cases. While I am just getting started with Cooper Institute, I feel I am in the best hands. His nurses, billing, andrology department... EVERY single member of his team has been kind, helpful and competent, as I begin moving all of my medical records to their office. It's not easy to coordinate logistics as a travel patient, but Cooper Institute has been wonderful every step of the way. I hope to update this review as another *miracle* patient success story... for now, I feel confident that Dr. Check & Co are my best and final chance for getting pregnant with my own eggs. At Cooper, you are treated like an individual. No one is cookie cutter there. What works for one patient may not work for the next and again because of that we have our son. The cycle I conceived may have been a cancelled cycle at another practice. He is in this business to create families and not cause you to break the bank while doing so. He will guide you to the best option for you. I cannot thank Dr. Check and his team enough for their constant care and patience. They are a family there and you become part of that family.

After so many years I tell myself that we are among his favorite patients, but it's probably how he makes all his patients feel. I like how I never feel rushed when I'm in the room with the doctor, and if I'm there for one specific issue, he asks me questions about other aspects of my health, ie. what else is going on? My son started with Dr Mike's brother Dr Jay at birth and continued until he aged out of going to a pediatrician (which was a surprisingly sad day for me!) and now he too is doing great with Dr Mike. Whoever she was, though, had some sort of emergency to take care of and I was still sitting in the waiting room a half hour after my appointment was supposed to be. And I'd gotten there a half hour early. So an hour in the waiting room. Dr. Renzi was on hand and "had a few moments" so he took me out of pity or kindness or both. They really didn't need to do it, especially considering I'm an out-of-towner and will probably never return, but they went out of their way to accommodate me. Once I got out of the waiting room everything was great. The nurse was quick, I hardly had to wait for the doctor, and my sample came back seemingly immediately. Dr. Renzi seemed caring but not overbearing, answered all of my questions, and put me totally at ease. I didn't even feel awkward when he asked if I was sexually active! I wish I had a doctor like this in Maryland, and if I ever find myself back in Haddon Heights (unlikely), I'll definitely know where to go.

Everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses and the anesthesiologist were super friendly and accommodating. The center was very organized and kept us in the loop of everything. Each patient is assigned a number and the progress is displayed on a tv monitor to let you know what's going on every step of the way. This was helpful considering I was nervous. When he reached the recovery troll we were allowed back to sit with him and the nurse never left his side and he was allowed time to wake up without feeling rushed even though there was a full house. I permitted it,…read morehowever I was suspicious but not ignorant of the kind of questions that would be asked/information that would be talked about. (Daughter is 30 now.) Forward to our world today (over 15-17 years later) to see that parents' are being kept from information - that is, concealing personal "medical" information from parents. This is not just to alert parents who are more recognizing what is happening in our public schools but to inform them of the "federally qualified (school-based) health centers, where gender identity & abortion recommended services among others) would be offered....so whether in a pediatrician's office or school- based center, parents need to speak up & not just trust. Parents know what's best for their children. They aren't ready to abdicate their responsibility to others, least of all to other adults, no matter how much these others appear sincere. Parents educate yourself if need be, but most of all trust your gut, which I should have done those years ago instead of letting my daughter in the doctor's office without me.

The rest of the staff however, seems to be either going through a divorce, haven't had a cigarette in a couple of hours, or just has a terrible attitude... Every day. Every person in there acts as though they have a stick up their rear. Out of our 9 visits, 8 of them ended with us needing to do the front desks job. We would be sent a bill that bypassed insurance and when we would call Advocare and ask why, they would tell us that insurance rejected the claim. We would call insurance and they would tell us that they never submitted a claim to reject. After a bit of phone tag, suddenly insurance was billed. We have been billed for incorrect co-pays multiple times. Vaccination records for school have been almost entirely omitted (date, lot#, administered by, and vaccines that they just decided weren't important) When asked about it, they said "that's just our procedure". This wasn't a secondary request either. This was the exact reason that we came to them and they couldn't fulfill a simple request. Luckily we had a vaccination record to compare to. Keep in mind, that we are only one family. One family that has had about 1 positive experience with this office. With a 10% satisfaction rate with us, it can't be much better with everybody else. When left to make their own choice, the staff here will always make the wrong choice. They will always take a shortcut, not to solve the problem, but to make it no longer their problem. Even after being called out on their "mistake" they will still not own up to it and they will not fix it until they are forced to. It took way too long, but Advocare Medford lost us as a patient and we will actively advocate against patronizing this office
