I have been visiting this establishment for laser hair removal for a few years now. I can honestly say the experience is a totally new one since Jessica's arrival. I didn't know any better with the previous technician since it was my first time ever doing the treatment, but after my first visit with Jessica I can tell you my standards have gone up! She is polite, professional extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, my results are far more significant since she took over. It seems that most of these reviews are dated from a time that this previous technician, which unfortunately for this company gives them a bad name. I really like this place. I bought the hair laser groupon deal for my under arms. Amy was the laser technician. She was very nice and friendly to me. It usually takes about 15 minutes for my under arms and it doesn't hurt at all. After I was done with my 6 treatments. I went back to see Amy for the fraxel treatment. I don't have to shave my under arms anymore. I had to take a Metra train from downtown to this place and it was totally worth it. I started on the hCG injections after trying every diet and diet pills on the market. I noticed a significant loss of inches almost immediately, and weight loss from the first day,4 lb. I continued the injections for 20 days. I thought i needed to lose so much weights, but after losing only 16 lb I had dropped a few dress sizes. The best part is that i lost only fat not muscle weights. I never had any side effects. I was surprisingly not hungry on the diet. Although the hCG diet consisted only of 500 calories, it was enough and the food I was allowed to eat kept me feeling full most of the time. I lost the 16 lbs without much effort. Long story short-ish, there is one esthetician who handled every situation with an air of subtle combativeness and condescension. Literally, from the moment she talked to me... every single time. She told me to come 10 min early to fill out paperwork, and when I did, the door was locked, the guy down the hall had to use his key to find out what was going on, and I could hear her telling him there wasn't an appt coming in yet (and then when she realized there was that I was too early). I mean, it is what it is. Not terrible in and of itself but wasn't digging the stress it felt like I was about to walk into at a spa appointment. Laser, no less. I've had several laser treatments of varying kinds and I have experienced swelling--phew, let me tell you! I found out once I was being prepped for the laser that I misunderstood the possibility of swelling after-the-fact, which I found out through her very emphatic reaction to my question ("oh there DEFINITELY will be swelling"). This misunderstanding is on me, so at the appointment all I needed was to understand what I misunderstood so I could be prepared. I also live with two other people and I know how shocking some swelling can get-- I wanted to know if I needed to prep them too. When I tried to get a ballpark of what "swelling" meant, she kept interrupting me, saying there's no way she could know (yes, I know that but are we talking hide-my-face-lest-I-scare-small-children type of swelling or likely the more manageable kind?) Anyways, she ended up not asking me what I want and put the laser on the lowest setting... as I find out later when I call in because I had only 8 hours of downtime (maaaaaaayybe 12)... and no swelling whatsoever. Her response? Combative, condescending and "you'll get results either way". Sigh. Well, I'm glad for that for sure, but wouldn't there be a reason lasers have intensity settings? And if I spent the money, drove 45 minutes to your spa and was looking for a killer experience, shouldn't there be a better approach then to act like I'm an idiot client who doesn't know anything? I'm happy to let them be the expert but be kind please, and don't assume for me what I want. And I was just expected to be happy with what I got. Ok, well, maybe not long story short, but there you go. Why would I call there to give feedback when each time I am met with that reaction? Yelp it is then. Honestly, the rest of the people there might be the loveliest, most professional people, but my only experience was with this one particular person. read more

Dr. Patel is just amazing he sits down and consults with you he listens to what you have to say and answer to any concerns ....not like a typical doctor. The place is nice and staff is friendly enough but after my treatment Sabrina was applying Aquaphor gel? to my tats that were BLEEDING and she was using the same tongue depressor! This is not a multi-use container and my concern is she's bringing my blood in contact with the entire container, she must have done this before. I will not go back because of this. It's such a rip off. I bought tattoo removal $99 from group on. I had 4 session done today. Tried to get a next appointment but they said I already started new session today and I have to pay for full session for next appointment. I was upset that after 3 session done, they didn't tell me that next session is a new session and pay for it. So after 3rd session, I don't see much improvement of my tattoo removed. And they don't sure how much more session I should go either. They can take me as far as they want to. And no gurenteed for your tattoo will be gone. They are saying it's cheap compared to other laser shop. How many time to I have to invest my money on that is not even improving? Listen ppl, don't get rip off your money in here. Phew! I am so happy my tattoo is gone! Let me just start by saying that I am so glad I went to Renu and am really happy with the results. Jessica is great! When I shopped around for prices I thought I would never afford it until I found Renu. That said, let me tell you what you may want to know if you are considering having a tattoo removed. This is an account of my experience though I think that all inks and bodies heal and clean up differently so keep that in mind. I had a roughly 6" by 6" black tattoo on me shoulder. Getting it removed was way worse than getting it in the first place, but don't let that scare you. The actual pain was probably similar although it was years apart from the time I got it to the time I got it removed. The thing is I had to go in about 15 times over the course of three years to see all of the ink vanish and be left with only a slight shadow cast scar to remind me not to get another one. It is a good idea to take pictures so that you can see your progress otherwise you might think that it isn't working. I tried to take the final pictures as good as I could with crude lighting to accurately show the results, but I don't think anyone would notice unless I pointed it out to them. I have also included one picture of what the normal healing sometimes (not always) looked like. Other times there was little or no bleeding at all. Thanks again Renu and Jessica!! :) read more

These gals are artists! Came here a few months ago (Shout out to Jessica who was so lovely and helpful in booking my appointment!) knowing that I wanted "bigger lips" but not really sure how big or where or what , etc. etc.  My mouth is naturally wide, thin, kinda droopy and asymmetrical (pretty, right?).  The aesthetic injector took the time to walk me through her vision of how best to enhance my lips' natural shape, including using a couple units of botox around my mouth to relax the lips into a gentle pout and retain the filler longer.  Everything sounded great so she applied numbing cream (which REALLY worked), did her thing and next thing I know, I have a beautiful, full, balanced pout that somehow (this is the best part) still looks NATURAL.  I love my new lips!
