The car was very clean, felt almost new, and had great air conditioning. I would book with them again. The one thing to keep in mind is that Mexico requires you to get additional insurance above what you pay for your reservation as insurance from the states doesn't cover your car rental. I didn't know this at first, but wanted to share the information, but Budget has several great options for this that they review with you when you get there.

They told us to stop in every 2 days to have the gas tank filled. We had an early flight on 5/2 so I asked how we should go about returning the carts and retrieve our ID's. We were told to stop in the day before to grab our ID's and they showed us where to park the carts and drop the keys. About 5 days into our trip one of the carts would not go into gear so it couldn't be driven. My son in law called them, explained the problem and within 30 minutes someone came to our location to bring us a replacement cart. We stayed on the south end of the island, so the carts were necessity. Were the carts new? No. Were they in the greatest condition? No Did they get us everywhere we needed/wanted to go? Yes! We will 100% reserve and rent from them again on our next trip to Isla! Worked out great for us!

Of course, we put our guard down at this point. They walked us over to their shop and started trying to sell us jewelry while they were getting the golf cart. Once the cart arrived, they took my husband to another shop, where he paid for the cart and we were on our way. In my research of the carts, I saw some charged by the day and others by the hour. I asked my husband how much it ended up being and he told me $350!!!! The norm is $75, which he had no idea. Since we had already left, and were half way to the south side of the island, we decided we would get it cleared up when we got back. When we got back, and confronted them, they continued to dodge us and go in and out of different buildings, hiding, literally. Finally agreed to give us 1500 pesos back, which is still a fraction of what they overcharged us. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. We obviously learned our lessons from this incident. If you are using their services make sure to ask for a refund or an upgrade on services before paying in case one of their golf carts failing. The car was a basic small sedan in good shape, without Apple CarPlay or backup camera (something that is almost a standard when you rent car here in the US).
