The longest sigh... They actually broke my professional event planner's heart. We do parties big in my family because I'm a professional event planner. The other grandmother wanted to use Big Mama party rentals for all our decorations JURASSIC PARK theme 5th boy birthday. But I insisted we use this company. They had three deliveries ...first one 20 minutes before show time and it's my grandson first CLASSMATE INVITATIONS PARTY. 2. Second delivery is after 2pm which is the party start time. 3. They delivered the treat wall with the first delivery without the weights to put the treats on so when will unknowingly filled our wall with our custom treats the heavy wood wall fell on the shoulder of the grandma who paid for this entire clown show... 4. The number five had TWO LIGHTS THAT SAID NOOOOOO....IM NOT WORKING TODAY!!!!! 5. One of the dinosaurs bones were defected and were NOT BASED COVERED,which fell also. But here's the real tea... This company has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. My entire order was wrong for my party, and many chair covers were ripped at the seams, rendering them useless. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Brides, birthday parties- stay FAR away from this shady business! PLEASE! After I paid for all of my items, only THEN did they inform me that they did NOT carry what I ordered. They somehow made a "mistake" and I was forced to scramble an entire different color scheme 3 days before the party!!!! It made no sense to me, because I was in their showroom and they are the ones who told us that everything was available. Do not use this company if you plan on having an upscale or even a moderate party. Even in their office, if you look closely- all of their items are in need of repair or repainting. A detail that I overlooked, a very costly mistake. They sent me tablecloths that were more than 3 ft longer (all the way around) than I ordered. Since they only let you pick up the items one day in advance, we did not recognize the mistake until we got into the place to set the party up. I called the office and left messages- no one would return my call. Nothing fit, and all the colors were WRONG. I had to improvise and tie the excess fabric under the tables with bungee cords. My tables were a disaster. I was so distraught and yet I still tried to make the best of what they gave me in hopes that they would reach out and fix their mistakes. (Spoiler alert: they didn't.) The chair covers that were provided were not even the same color or fabric and had wonky fitting. We had to cancel out 3 tables in total with 18 chairs because of the crummy quality and rips to the fabric. Once party members arrived, my Aunt who is 80, tripped and fell over the table leg and excess fabric, causing her to need to see a wound specialist to have a truly massive blood blister the size of a softball removed. Not one apology from this place- and I have reached out and showed them pictures of the injury since it happened. The tablecloths were TOO long. Another costly mistake! Fast forward to the return of the items, they insisted that I was "missing one tablecloth" after I explained what they had done to my party. I was also grieving over the lack of communications with them, and wondering why they hadn't returned my phone calls the day of the party to fix their mistakes. They made the mistakes, but tried to pawn this off on my family? To make matters worse, they stood there and began speaking in Spanish to each other for over 10 minutes, knowing full well that neither my grandmother or I spoke the language. Hopefully they read this and know that I recorded what they were saying to each other, using my iPhone,and yes- you made a BIG mistake by trying to make it seem like you had "no idea" what we were talking about. They promised to reach out to the owner and get back to us over these grievances. It's been 3 weeks and they have ignored us for the final Time. I may not get my money back, but I will inform everyone I possibly can about this business and to stay FAR away! Absolute worst service I have ever experienced, and will spread my story throughout social media to raise awareness to their shady practices. Please look elsewhere for a party center. The chairs and tables were all dirty and I had to scrub what appear to be grape juice or grape cool-aide off the tables. I emailed the company and got no response. Horrible experience! We used this company for a bridal shower this past weekend. The drop off time for the rented pieces was 11am, they arrived at 1pm... our event started at 1pm. There was zero communication with us, and because it was a Sunday we were unable to get in contact with any staff! Then the furniture comes, it's dirty. Visible Scuff marks on the throne chair, dirty letter tables AND the flower wall had a ton of unattractive gaps in it. We also ordered and paid for draping for the flower wall which we did not receive. When we explained to the owner what happened with the delivery and everything being dirty, he said "no refunds" ... that was his only response. He wasn't concerned about our event, our how this affected us, just his pockets. Then to add insult to injury we send him a picture of the flower wall to show how much fixing we had to do to get it to look decent and he posts it on the IG! As if his company did something amazing?! We had to tape black sheets to the flower wall, in order to hide the gaps in it!! We asked him to remove the picture because it contained personal information, of the bride & groom who work for agencies that do not permit them being on social media, did the owner care? Nope. On April 22, 2017, I had an event at the American Legion Hall in Bayonne, NJ from 5-9pm. The following took place: 1. Around 4pm, I contacted Rent 4 Parties to check on the status of the delivery since they had not arrived yet. I was told that I was still within my window of 3-5pm and that I had until 4:55pm for the delivery to arrive. I was told that I would be contacted if there was going to be an issue with the delivery arriving late. 2. The delivery arrived at 4:45pm for a party that started at 5pm. Words cannot express how upset I was with your company as you can imagine. Guests were already arriving when the delivery came. To top it all off, the guests and I had to cover the chairs and put up the sashes on all 100 chairs while the delivery men set up the backdrop and table. How is this professional service from a company?? Attending this event were many political people. These individuals were the ones who arrived by 4:45pm and helped to setup what I paid your company to do. My guests were very disappointed with your company and said they would not recommend you to family or friends. What's interesting is that your company was more than on time to pick up the furniture. They actually started taking down the setup 10 minutes BEFORE 9pm. Recommendations: 1. If a party begins at 5pm, you should not have a window for delivery of 3-5pm. The window should be 2:30pm-4:30pm. I agreed to sign the contract because in my mind I am thinking that the delivery would arrive by 4pm the latest. Order white drapes with crossbars along with a sweetheart table and four goblets. The items were delivered a day before my wedding, and my fiancée and I went into the room to begin setting up. (Oh yeah, they don't setup, only deliver!) We go in to begin setting up when I pick up on of the bars and I notice that I have oil on my hand. I look to see where the oil came from and it is on the pole. This lead me to take a closer look at the poles and the poles are horrendous! They have stickers on them from previous events. We immediately stopped and called Rent4Parties to explain the situation. We weren't going to be using their merchandise because it was dirty and I didn't want to stain or dirty the white drapes and we are hit with a bill for cleaning. We took pictures and emailed them while on the phone and Julie said that she was on the way to bring replacements and she asked us to take an individual picture of each pole and email it to them. We hung up with her and thought about it and decided we were not going to do that. The picture of my oil-stained finger and of the stickers should be enough. We called back and was informed that the driver was on the way with their guys to pick up the items and that a full refund would be issued. This was Friday, June 28th. As of July 4th, no such luck! Called multiple times on Wednesday July 3rd and one time we were hung up on by Paola and when we called back and asked for the manager, we were told that she would be in at 6pm. I used this rental company for my wife's baby shower. The selection of items is perfect but the experience in working with this company is less than perfect. These guys showed up 10 minutes before her shower began and we lost 30 minutes of the party and was completely embarrassed to have our guests wait till the room was ready. The drivers were moving slow in setting up the items when they finally did arrive. They claimed it wasn't their fault for being late. In addition I tried to call this company to get a status update and nobody was working or answer the phones. It was on a Sunday. The next day I called and spoke to a lady who claimed she was a supervisor. I explained my issue and at no point did she even say sorry or I understand. The only rise I got out of her was when I said I know lateness is an issue with your company with all the negative reviews in Yelp. That's when she got testy and told me that I was lucky they did me the favor to deliver my items early. Early, early. My event started late because they showed up late. In the future if you choose to use this company be sure to give them a start time 4 hours prior to the start time of your party in the hopes they will then get the items to your party on time. read more

They tried to give me another rental option, but I politely and professionally declined after considering their offer. I sent them an email in writing with my request for a refund. I called to follow up and the manager Joanna was not even aware of what the status of my rental agreement was with them as far as the issue being resolved or a refund requested. I was told I would get a follow up call, however I had to call four times only to be told that she needed approval to issue a refund? Did you need approval to take my money? Did you need approval to require a signed contract for something you overbooked? I rented several pieces from this company. Communication prior to my event was efficient. Juan contacted me immediately after every email and we solidified all items. The day of the event the delivery guys were ridiculously late. Left items on 1st floor even though they were to be delivered to the 6th. They did not care about anything. I had a strict 8:30 pm pick up as all items had to be off premise. No one came to pick up. No one answered phones, emails, Instagram messages, nothing. I waited five hours after 8:30 pm and nothing. I even called their delivery guy who dropped the items and he wouldn't answer. How do you leave your customer just hanging. Amazing customer service!! William made the process so easy for me. I explained that I was pregnant so he very kindly emailed me pictures of everything I asked him for. The staff accommodated my needs as I didn't want to travel to NJ to pick the items I rented; instead they delivered to the Bronx. As soon as I got there everything was ready for me. The ladies helped me put everything in my car without a problem. I was in and out within minutes. I was a little worried about The linen color because I didn't get to see it before I picked up but it was exactly the color I asked for. The quality of the products are exactly as advertised. Rented 14 linens from Rent4Parties for my baby shower on June 4th. Upon receiving them they were extremely wrinkled and several of the linens had stains on them. When I returned them I complained about the matter and notes were made to my contract but over 2 weeks later and I have yet to receive 1 phone call from them. I attempted to contact them at which point my name and number were taken but still no reply. As I walked in today no one greeted us at all and they all looked up from their seats, they were not occupied doing anything. After 10 mins roaming around someone got up and asked us if we needed help and I asked if they had a book of pictures or if they had more stuff. The lady simply said no with no explanation and then I asked if I could go anywhere else to see more of what they had. She said the warehouse so I asked if I could see it today she said no, no one was there. She never mentioned to us another time or day we could go see it just left it at that. Very rude and unprofessional. They need to up their game with customer service. On instagram it says no appointment needed to view inventory but they don't have anything but a very few things. read more

My event was Schedule June.24th. They give you a 2 hour delivery window. I was scheduled to have my items delivered between 4-6pm. My delivery did not show up until 6:45. 45 mins AFTER my event started and guest arrived. Then it took the staff about 30 mins to set everything. No one apologized, no one was emphatic. They moved to Atlantic street in Hackensack, NJ. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! THEY ARE CONS! Bad customer service and the managers don't reach out to you when you have concerns. I had to go down to the office just to talk to someone because they don't pick up the phone. I went to find out the delivery time for my items and I was told at that exact time, with no forth coming notice. What if I hadn't showed up there? They sent me damaged goods and wanted to charge me for damage to a Valence that they said had glue on it and I had to ask for pictures of the damage. There was no glue at my event. I left a message for management to call me back and no one got back to me, but immediately charged my card with no warning! I never complained to them about the seat covers they sent me with wholes in them, or the dirt on some of the white seat covers, or the seat covers that were different sizes and didn't fit all of my chairs properly, exposing the legs. This forced me to rearrange the chairs to the back of the tables where they couldn't be seen with such flaws. They never listened to my side of the story and just charged my card without hearing me out. This is bad customer service and the items they sent me were already in bad condition. This company is a disgrace. They deserve 0 stars. The owner and staff are nothing more than thieves preying on people who booked their services and left them deposits in good faith. I had ordered and paid for a custom back drop last year but my daughters event was cancelled due to covid. I called them 2 months ago to tell them I needed the backdrop for May 1st 2021. At that time I was informed they were no longer making custom back drops. Of course I then asked to be refunded. I was then told that might make an exception and make the one I ordered or issue a refund. Two months and more that 15 phone calls later( that all went unreturned by Joanna) I have been informed that I will not be receiving what I ordered nor will I be receiving my money back. I was scheduled to pick up the backdrop in 2 days ! Of course they cannot refuse to deliver my order and keep my money so I will be going to small claims court. I know people may think about using this company to celebrate their important events DONT DO IT they are not reputable they will steal your money. They are very nice when you sign up for services. They confirm delivery dates (7/23/17) and times with no problem and they accept payment with no issues. However Day of the event is a different story. In my case they arrived 1.5 hours late causing major concern and disruption during setup. After the event I called several times to speak with someone to complain and the run around began. I was told someone would return my call. Never happened. After now almost a month and at least 10 calls, still no response. I am still waiting to hear from Ellie in billing, Jackie in billing, and Viola the manager. I would not recommend using them.
