It's old and they don't make 'em any more, but the staff at Paretti have never given me attitude or shown any reluctance to work on it. This has happened to me before with other old cars (I keep them a long time if I like them) and service attempts at other dealers (I don't keep them if I don't like them). I find I would rather bring my Mazda here than the local shops I use for my other vehicles. The showroom and waiting areas are modern and clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and they don't treat me like an idiot who doesn't know anything about cars. The sales guys always try to sell me a new one to replace the old, but they aren't pushy about it. The service work has been great so far - no return trips to straighten out something that didn't get right the first time. I will gladly go back again. When my car finally dies I might go buy the next one from them.

He called me back and told me that the leak was coming from the oil filter housing. He said he had to replace the gasket and it will cost me $260.00. I agree with him to go ahead and fix the problem. I picked my truck up the next morning. That same day I called him and told him my truck was still leaking. I took it back and he changed the oil filter I left his shop and after a few hours I noticed the truck was still leaking. Once again, I brought my truck back to Ernest. So one of his mechanics/helper got under the truck and right away he told me that the leak was coming from the timing chain cover and it will cost me $1,100.00 to fix. So I paid Bayou Automotive $260.95 for a problem that they did not fix. He couldn't show me the old gasket that he took off. I will never recommend Bayou Automotive to anyone. He didn't offer me a dime of my money back or an explanation of why he didn't fix or tell me about the actual problem to begin with.

Eventually, I secured my own financing and brought them the check -- even then, we had to wait another hour and a half just to finalize everything. Before leaving, I noticed the tires were dangerously worn and asked if they could at least replace them. I was told "no, it is what it is" because the car was being sold as-is. Sure enough, shortly after leaving, we had a blowout on the interstate. We were stranded on the side of the road for four hours waiting on a tow truck. I tried calling Northlake Auto -- no answer. I called the finance guy's personal number -- no answer, voicemail. I even sent a photo and text message to let him know what happened and how poorly we were treated. No response. This place is the definition of bad service, bad attitude, and bad business. It's a "take it or leave it" kind of operation, and once the deal is done, you're on your own. I would absolutely not recommend doing business with them.

Sure enough after using Google lens to investigate one of the pictures used on their site, i found all the pics posted at another auction site with a YouTube video posted two years ago. I guess you really can't trust online forum posts or reviews anymore. Either they're posting the reviews themselves or have friends and family posting them. SMH. I almost completed their registration process of uploading my driver's license pic and a picture of me holding my driver's license. One can only imagine what they intend to do with your information.
