Warning Internal Fraudulent Practices Just for the record-this is my personal experience and I would hate to see this happen to someone else. I am extremely disappointed and alarmed by what happened at GMC legacy in Slidell, La. A former employee of theirs(my ex husband of approximately 7/8 years) was able to purchase a vehicle in my name -including signing all paperwork without my knowledge or consent. I did not authorize this purchase, nor was I present. I have evidence. Despite no longer working there, this individual exploited the dealership's lax identity-verification process to secure a loan under my Social Security number: As a result, I'm facing: - [ ] A fraudulent auto loan on my credit report. - [ ] Emotional distress and hours lost disputing this crime. I have since filed reports with my local police department , DMV, and I met with the owner Mr Adam Bowen(to give his business the opportunity to make it right, however it was unsuccessful) but GMC Legacy must also be held accountable for allowing an ex -staff member to retain document-signing privileges. Do NOT do business here if you value your personal information. Until they overhaul their security and retrain their staff on proper ID checks, any transaction here puts you at risk of Identity theft. read more

ONLINE SHOPPERS, BEWARE OF PRICE SWAPPING WHEN IT'S TIME TO SIGN PAPERWORK! First and foremost, I want to highlight the frustrating lack of communication from Legacy's team, especially through their text messaging service. I would often wait anywhere from a few hours to as long as three days to get a response. I was working with Gino Gallodoro and Randy Thurmond, and even though I was driving in from out of town, I wanted to confirm all the details of the sale before I arrived. I initially inquired about a specific vehicle, but was told that it was in transit. They assured me they had another vehicle with the same specifications at their other dealership and promised to sell it for the exact same price. I have text messages to show that we discussed and confirmed the price multiple times. They assured me they "don't play games there." However, when I arrived and began the paperwork, I was greeted by the sales team and immediately asked for my driver's license. I requested to see the paperwork first, and that's when the bait-and-switch began. The price was suddenly marked up by over $2,000 from what was quoted in writing. I showed the sales representative the text messages proving the quoted price, but he insisted that he couldn't honor it and could only get "close" to that number. At that point, I decided to leave. This kind of behavior seems like a deliberate tactic to take advantage of uninformed buyers, and I want to make sure others don't fall into the same trap. MY ADVICE: ALWAYS DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR PAPERWORK BEFORE SIGNING OR LETTING THEM RUN YOUR CREDIT. I have saved all of the text messages and can prove everything I've shared here. Be Aware" This dealership is forcing customers to complete purchasing/financing on units they have not received on site. I inquired on a 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali Ultimate a couple weeks ago. Today I received a text message from Alyssa that they had one coming in, white in color. We decided we wanted it so we reached out to her and she had her finance manager call me. He was speaking so fast and demeaning that I did not catch his name. I again inquired how to secure the unit that was sent to me. He stated we had to pay for the truck in full or complete financing to secure. No deposits allowed per the owner of the dealership. Not sure but I do not beleive GM would be happy with this practice. read more

We bought a used Chrysler 300 from this dealership, cash in hand, on February 7th, 2020. The car is for my girlfriend who's from Nebraska, so the wait was "2 to 3 weeks" for the title and license plate to come in for pickup. It is now May 14th, and we still haven't received the title or plate. We called multiple times throughout the 3 months waiting, and was told, "We are still waiting on it, and will contact you when it arrives." They told us today, that they are giving us another temp plate, and expect the title and permanent plate in "2 to 3 weeks"! This business was willing to take our thousands of dollars, but couldn't finish the deal on their end. Tried selling me a used truck for 3,000 cheaper then a brand new one. I spent a thousand dollars + on the portfolio extended warranties they push on you thinking I was covered. Turns out it's not worth the paper it's written on. As far as I'm concerned it's borderline fraud and will be exploring my options. This is not the first time I've had problems with Legacy and will not be doing business with them again. read more

Dealership advertises MISLEADING Prices online. BEWARE!! The issue is that they include the DESTINATION CHARGE in the Discount you see and then it is immediately added back into the FINAL SALES Prices. Basically Brian Harris is INFLATING their DISCOUNT by subtracting out a NON-Negotiable FEE. The MSRP they show already includes the Destination Charge. The MSRP they advertise is the same you will find on the MAIN Corporate GMC website as well. Its also on the window sticker which also includes the Destination Charge. BUT then online you will see a PRICE DISCOUNT which is inflated because they are including the Dest. Charge in that Discount to make you see a lower advertised Price, which is False because you still have to add back that same fee. An Example on a specific Sierra I shopped. $53,600 MSRP, which includes a Dest. Charge of $1,195 -$8,005 DIscount (rebates, Supplier Pricing, & Shockingly that same Dest charge of $1,195) $45,595 Sales Price (Misleading because they turn around a Add back the $1,195 w/ TT&L) Basically they are showing you a discount of $8,005 to make you feel like its a great deal but the discount is actually the $8,005 - $1,195 = $6,810 (the actual discount) They shouldn't be able to Advertise a fee like the Dest. Charge as part of their discount when it can't actually be discounted. Unacceptable. read more

The purpose of this review is to describe my car buying experience at Brian Harris Autoplex in Slidell,Louisiana. Upon arrival, I was assigned Richard Parr to be my salesperson who in my opinion is an excellent salesperson whereas he showed me a Jeep Grand Cherokee and explained all the features of the SUV. Then we went for a test drive where he expounded further in greater detail the features of the SUV. When we returned to the dealership, I stated that I want to purchase this vehicle whereas he brought me to the Finance Person namely Phill where I signed documents to purchase said SUV and when I was in the process of signing the documents Phill was explaining as I was signing the necessary documents. Their was a minor hick-up because the Credit Union did not forward the pre-approval,however after Alex the Branch Manger for ASI St. Claude Branch got involved, things went quickly and smoothly. After wasting 3 hours at another dealership I decided to make the 30 minute drive to Brian Harris from Metairie. The drive was definitely worth it. The experience I had was second to none. I have purchased numerous vehicles over the years and I was thoroughly impressed with the way in which the dealership handled my deal. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. There were no pressure tactics or games used to push the sale. It took less than 30 minutes to come to an agreed upon price and there was no back and forth negotiating. I was very disappointed with the service with this place. I found a vehicle online with a discounted price before going to to physically look at them. When I showed up to look and then make a deal they tried giving me a price way more then advertised and when called out they said they had to "test the waters". Are you serious? So we go on trying to work things out and had to leave for prior engagements and told them we will be back to finish the deal. Get back two hours later and nothing was done. Made us wait and then added on even more money that wasn't part of the deal. When called out on that as well the salesman went into a rant and was very rude and unprofessional. All in all we were very disappointed and bring our business elsewhere! read more
