Upon searching for lodging for our 16 month assignment in Lima, we found 2 complexes that looked…read moresuitable for my expectation (pool, clean, location, pets accommodations, updated living). However, the choice property did not allow more than 1 pet. We have 2 dogs that travel with us so North Lake Village was the only option. The pool was a huge selling point. Once we arrived, it was clear the photos and accommodations were not as shown on the website. This property is very old although we reside in what they consider an "updated townhouse". Within the first few days, I discovered small roaches in the Livingroom area, a leak from the air conditioner and that the ice maker was not functional. I addressed these issues with the office and they did take care of the issues. Once settled, we were going to use the pool, but the pool is and has been closed. I spoke with the property manager and she advised that her hands were tied on getting it open. I called the management company and to date (2 weeks) no one has returned my call to discuss my issues. The office staff attempted to be accommodating but placed blame on the management company and rules set forth by them on the pool situation. I would think this would be notated on the complexes website, but it is not. My recommendation is that if you value the use of a pool in the summer, find somewhere else to live. This complex appears to be full of construction workers and lower income (possibly HUD?). If you are looking for upper scale living, this is not the place for you. The staff is nice and I understand that they can only do what is in their control but the pool situation is ridiculous. The landscaping company interrupts your Saturdays by mowing and blowing grass all over your patio and your furniture. To do it all over again, I would look in a different town to find lodging. I also looked up the ROCO Management on BBB. Clearly, they are not concerned in the least with anything to do with their properties as their rating is 1 star.

Ok I've lived here for a year now and honestly I'd give it a 5/10. I moved here to go to UNOH and…read moreit seemed like a nice area at first, but multiple things have happened now that make me want to leave. My car (along with 8 other cars in the parking lot) were broken into and everything was stolen. My neighbors pipes burst and it flooded part of my living room (they paid to clean the carpet but they said I would have to take it up with the neighbor to get any of my personal belongings that were ruined fixed , which never happened). They say you have a parking space but you don't. If you work nights when you get home just expect that all the parking spots in front of your door are going to be taken, so you will have to park a ways away and walk. After the car and living room incidents (and once I lived here long enough to realize it not a great part of town), I went to the office to see if I could break my lease and move somewhere else and they make it almost impossible. You have to give them 4 months rent for after you leave. I live in a 3-bed, 2-bath so my rents around 1,000 a month. Meaning if I move out in January I have to pay 4,000 for Feb, Mar, Apr and May. They make it almost impossible to break a lease. I saw a lot of great reviews for these apartments and that's partly why I moved here. What they don't tell you is if you write a good review on apartments.com, yelp, google, facebook, or apartmentratings.com you get 5$. They tell you to use key words like "gorgeous pool", "great lake for fishing" or "quiet neighborhood". So keep in mind when you're reading these reviews some of them may have been written just to get a prize, not actually because they're true. If you have to bribe your residents into making a good review that says something.

After chatting on the phone about our needs we headed out to Pendleton to pick up the scaffolding which fit in the back of our suv. We were able to put it together rather easily due to the video online. Gordon will also deliver and put it together for a fee if you'd like. Couldn't have asked for a smoother process. We will definitely be back next time we need scaffolding!

After doing some research I came across this company and I am so glad that I did. The owner, Gordon, was awesome. He was very accessible, honest, up front, prompt and friendly. He has indoor and outdoor scaffolds and I was able to reserve one on a days notice. They offer delivery and set up along with the rental. However, there is a youtube video that shows you how to set it up and I was able to do it by myself. It was pretty simple, but if not done correctly, you can seriously injure yourself. I believe it is $70 for them to set the scaffold up for you. I got a double scaffold and it was easy to move. I was able to transport the entire set up in my SUV. Anything above one level comes with rails (they were clutch) and outriggers. The equipment is very nice and well maintained. It looked relatively new. I was able to change the ceiling fan in record time. Gordon runs this business how it should be run. I do not know many people that need to rent scaffolding, but for the few that do, I give this place my highest recommendation. I was very pleased with my rental and the way Gordon conduct his business. The only downside is that he is located about 30 miles outside the city. Whenever I need a scaffold again, this will be the first place that I go.

Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with my experience. The staff are friendly, and have always responded quickly to my requests for maintenance assistance. They happily replaced my refrigerator after issues with the freezer keeping it cold. I've also enjoyed the pool - it is well-kept, and open from around Memorial Day through Labor Day. The laundry room is generally clean, and I've never had a problem with machine availability. Currently, at $1.25 per load the cost proves manageable. I wish the laundry room were open 24/7, but have certainly been able to work with the 8am-10pm hours. You can walk to downtown in about 10 minutes, and BGSU is a 20-25-minute walk, a c. 10-minute bike ride, or 5-minute drive away. Summit Terrace also offers a shuttle service to campus and possibly a few other locations??, which I have not used extensively but would certainly be a plus for those without a car. Mostly students, young families, and some retired folks live here. The atmosphere is generally quiet and friendly, which I have appreciated! Feels safe, my apartment is quite spacious, and rent is reasonable for the quality of living. I would definitely recommend Summit Terrace as an ideal BG apartment complex!
