Gary Delagrange is a contractor you need to stay away from, he lies constantly, my sister and…read morebrother in law was unfortunate to have this man be their contractor, they told him what they wanted, from siding to window etc., When it was time to build, he argued with them about only siding the front of the house with the log siding and doing the rest in a plain kind, because he said he only estimated for the front, he thought he could convince them and told them that they now were 6000.00 over because they didn't do it his way. He also had the plumber bring tub inserts and had them installed while they were at work, when they got home, they were done, they never picked them out, they were old, out of style ones that he had in his garage that someone else had rejected, and told them they couldn't be taken out because the whole wall would have to be redone, and the move in date would be pushed back, the stone for the fire place, he told them would be there every other day for a month, he blamed the stone installers for it, when the stone people came to install, they told us, they were waiting on Gary to order the stone, Gary never ordered it, and when he did 3 weeks later, it was on back order, He was such a liar, his carpenter work is less than desirable, he couldn't do the stair case as they wanted, and argued about doing it, he wanted to put tiny spindles up and no hand rails?? are you kidding?? this is a log cabin, after weeks of arguing, he had to call a guy in who knew what he was doing, and totally agreed with my sister that her way was the correct way, and that yes, you need hand rails on the wall, and you need thick railing, to make it look right, when asked about receipts, he said his wife keeps them, and always had an excuse for not showing them a receipt, He just wrote on a paper, and hand it to them. He is a compete fraud, I could gone on for hours on here, with all the messes and nightmares they had to put up with, everyone of the sub contractors had nothing good to say about him, including the Amish workers. He cut corners like no tomorrow to put more cash in his pocket, HE'S A COMPLETE DISGRACE, and certainly does nothing for the Delagrange Home Builders Name. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE HIRING HIM!!!!!
