I was very worried about arranging for a rental car from this location due to prior Yelp reviews…read more However I was so pleasantly surprised with the customer service at this location. We came from Florida for a funeral and took the South Shore train from Chicago to East Chicago station and walked over to Enterprise to rent a car (reservations made 2 days prior with a very helpful customer service rep). While on the train I received a phone call that the person driving the car we had planned on renting was not being returned on time. Before I even had time to panic I was assured that there was a different vehicle available upon arrival. The transaction was smooth and easy. When we returned the car to that location the customer service rep dropped us off at the train station. Excellent customer service all around!

I received a courtesy ride back home by Cam and I'd vote for him next time around too. Professional, helpful and a good listener. Electric Vehicle Reservation Disaster at Hertz Highland, IN…read more I reserved an electric vehicle and even confirmed by phone that a Tesla would be available. When I arrived, I was told no EVs were on-site due to A/C issues--no email, no call, no courtesy notice. They tried to give me a gas car instead. When I asked why EVs were still bookable online or if another location could help, the staff gave no real answers. The employee was rude and refused to provide his name when I asked to file a complaint. Completely unacceptable experience. I expected better from a major company like Hertz. Complaint filed with the BBB!

My move date was scheduled for 6/29/20. I received a call from Budget in Hammond IN this morning…read more(6/26) saying there are no trucks available on my move date as they have all been assigned to Amazon, UPS, etc. I am directed to read the small print that says Budget can do this. However, this is very deceptive. FYI: based on our conversation, Budget knows that all their trucks are taken when you are reserving your truck. However, they graciously allow you to go through the process in the event that one may perhaps become available which is a slight possibility because there is no availability past August 2020. In October 2020, Budget did the same thing to my nephew on his move "day." Budget was able to right this wrong, therefore, we were not left with a bad taste in our mouth. Evidence of this was my willingness to contract with Budget again. The manner in which Budget is conducting business is a disservice to the average consumer.
