However the extreme disregard for our requests and needs lead to a loss of income *and* increased expenses. The trailer we had reserved was unavailable when we arrived at this location to do a time sensitive hauling job in SF. We were not called to let us know it had not been returned and had the unfortune to have to drive there to find out. Upon arriving we were handed a 1800 # to try and rent from a different office. I requested Travis to offer assistance in navigating the call to get a replacement, to which he refused. I asked again as it is literally his job to provide customer care. He actually raised his voice and told me it didn't make a difference if we called or if he did. He was holding his phone and leaning back in his chair like I was disturbing him from scrolling on his phone. Attempting to reason with him is not going to work. We ended up having to rent past the bridge, and after doing the job loading/unloading 1720 lbs, we had to drive back over the bridge to return the trailer in traffic. This also added money for driving multiple axels to the bridge toll. It created a significant time crunch, and had to cancel another job that day. When calling the Fedex office to see if we could drop it at the office we originally rented from, we were informed in would cost us $150 to do so. Would never rent from this office again and truly believe the five star reviews are false and should be flagged. "... never had him get angry with me or give me a hard time." why would anyone put that in a five star review? Please.

Turning in a 16' truck, I went to customer service and handed over the key after a short wait in…read moreline. The young lady went to check the truck then came back and filled out her paperwork. Since I had insurance, they didn't worry about the dent I had made. She told me there was an extra charge for lateness (I arrived 5 minutes late) but it was up to Penske to charge me. They never did. Overall I felt Penske treated me like a valuable customer.

This Penske rental is out of the Home Depot Store…read more First they couldn't find the keys, then they couldn't release the truck because they were all signed out, then there was a beeping noise in the truck that the service rep didn't recognize (air brake beep) then she couldn't find our contract proving the rental was pre paid. An hour later I decided to pay again just so I could get the truck and get to my job (an hour late) I was never instructed or told of additional charges. When I dropped off the truck I was told I had to pay 98 dollars for gas. After several attempts to charge me, the service rep told me they couldn't get into the computer and that I could go. The next day I had a 175 dollar charged to my credit card. I went to Home Depot to ask what the charge was for and that said it was a gas charge. Penske and Home Depot have horrible customer service, horrible communication, horrible organization and did nothing to help me with any of the above issues. If you need to rent a truck, rent from Ryder or U-Haul and go straight to the rental company, don't use a middle man or third party

I reserved a car from Enterprise which was connected to me from Expedia. My husband and I needed a…read moresecond car so he could go to a meeting an hour away, while I brought our kids to two different events. I made the reservation so I could pick up the car an hour later, and we timed everything carefully to meet everyone's needs. We arrived at the office at 11:00, which was the pick up time. There was a long line of people so we waited about 15 minutes. There were also people sitting on chairs around the room. When we got to the desk, we were told that they did not have a car for us, so we would need to wait with the other people until one was available. The receptionist said that all the "same day reservations" were made incorrectly or mistakenly, and they didn't have cars available. We asked if there would be a car ready in the next 30 minutes and she said probably not. If I made the reservation online and it was confirmed, this shouldn't have happened! When I was searching at home online, if there was not availability, I would have kept searching. This was most unprofessional and very disappointing and stressful. It also would have been nice if we were told there was no car for us BEFORE we waited in line for 15 minutes. (Last complaint: as we were leaving, we noticed that there were many Enterprise cars in the lot, which was further confounding.) Anyway, big THUMBS DOWN
