The staff here are professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. It's first-come, first-served, but you can put your name in line online before you arrive. Parking is easy and free for the first two hours. They don't have a direct phone line to the clinic, but if you call their listed number (301-348-8963) and select the option for text communication, you will get a response from a real person very quickly. The longest I have ever waited was about 15 minutes. I have moved all my pet care to PetWell, including annual exams, shots, and even urgent issues like eye infections. Keep in mind that they keep overhead low by not having certain equipment such as x-ray machines. For more serious procedures, you would still need to go to a traditional vet clinic.

While I'm grateful this clinic exists for low-cost care, I left both visits feeling completely disconnected from the process. At no point was I asked about my cats' temperament, their home life, or any concerns I might've had. No warm greeting, no trust-building, just hand them over energy. They were taken out of the waiting area, and I never saw what was done. No one told me where the injections were administered or how they responded. The entire process was so fast and so impersonal that, honestly, I questioned whether anything was actually done at all. To make it more frustrating, the paperwork I received was mostly blank. This was their first medical visit and yet, no notes were made about their behavior, condition, or background. Even the surgical and communication sections were left untouched. At one point, I mentioned that one of my cats is a male calico, which is extremely rare. Instead of curiosity or connection, the response I got was, "Yeah, he is a male calico," said in a tone that felt like they were the ones breaking the news to me. It was strange and off-putting. I helped birth this cat. I watched him grow. I did the research on his coat type and knew exactly how rare he was from day one. The fact that it didn't even occur to them that I might already know or that I'd care deeply about such a unique trait felt microaggressive at best. Later, I was told by one of the assistants that the vet who administered the shots had been in the field for 27 years, and this was only the second male calico she's ever encountered. That should've been a shared moment of awe instead, it was brushed over without acknowledgment of what it meant to me. Also there was no transparency about an additional payment required for the booster appointment. That wasn't mentioned at the first visit, and while the price wasn't outrageous, the lack of communication rubbed me the wrong way. If you're looking for in-and-out, assembly-line style vet care, Hanna's might work. But if you value communication, detail, and genuine compassion for your animals, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Customer service is absolutely the worst here!! I had an…read moreappointment in March. I arrived for my appointment at 2:45pm for a 3pm appointment. When my buzzer went off for me to come inside, everything was smooth but I mentioned my dog was getting a tooth pulled tomorrow. They then stated or we can't do vaccines. I am not a vet ask off course I am going to ask why not? No one could give me an answer. I asked can someone give me a reason so the vet came out and told me the reason why and I understood perfectly. It made sense to me and I moved on but I asked if I can make a phone call to the dental surgery office for my dog to reschedule that since I was already at the vaccine appointment. The employee said yes I can go outside and they would take the next person in the mean time. When I came back inside I told them that I will keep my scheduled dental surgery for my dog and reschedule the vaccines. The employee behind the desk said that's fine and I'm good to go just reschedule online. I asked how I get my deposit back from making this appointment. She said you don't get it back. I asked why? Her response was because the deposit it there for people who don't show up or cancel their appointments last minute and I said I did show up and I'm not canceling your telling me you cannot do the vaccines because I opened my mouth telling you my dog has a surgery. Again stating that I did not know I couldn't do vaccines and a surgery. I told them that the dental surgeon for my dog stated if I did not have up to date vaccines they would give them to her at the surgery. Anyway they eventually gave me back my deposit and everything was fine. I left not even upset honestly. The next day my dog had her dental surgery and later on I spoke to the surgeon and he said she can get vaccines two weeks later. So I rescheduled vaccines at Hanna's clinic 18 days after her dental. Someone from the clinic called me and said we need proof that she is allowed to get vaccines. My response was it's 18 days later but okay... She then called me back and said we are giving your deposit back and recommend that you don't come in. And I said recommend? Or are you banning me? They said yeah I guess that one banning you. I was incredibly shocked because banning someone for what simply not being able to communicate with one another? I asked for an official documentation for banning me and still have not received anything. As a county employee I feel I was being discriminated for being in uniform. They told me I can go to my primary veterinarian office. Makes me wander if they would have told a county resident that not knowing their financial status. I've donated to this Clinic because I love animals and I am a Montgomery resident. I am so disappointed in this place.
