Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. Indeed, she is more interested in the welfare of our beloved "fur balls" that anything else. Sometimes and it happened to my senior 14 years old Golden Retriever, she did cut short or totally not proceed with certain grooming services in order not to stress out my dog or hurt (arthritis) in my Golden's case. When you walk in there's a small entrance that separates you from the grooming area. It seems really secure for the dogs inside. They have a book showing the different levels that they can cut which is really helpful! I had a nice chat with the groomer and told her everything we wanted. She followed my instructions and my dog looked adorable! It's a bit pricier than what I've been paying in Vienna, but we will be back for sure.

The owner went above and beyond to help out with my dog during the massive power outage. My dog is…read more5 years old and his bronchial tubes are chronically inflamed. He can't be in the heat and can't 'exercise' too much. It was the 3rd day we were going to be without power, and my dog could not be in the apartment anymore without AC. Additionally, our elevator wasn't working properly and we had to walk up many flights of stairs to get to our apartment (which meant my dog was having difficulty breathing and coughing a lot). Doggies' Den was the only daycare I could find that had power. The owner was very helpful and let my dog come for the day. Typically, he does an 'interview' with potential new dogs and if they pass they have to wait until the next to attend. He made an exception to the waiting rule so my dog be comfortable and safe for the day. Luckily, my power came back on and I was able to pick my dog up after only a few hours. My dog is usually nervous and scared. He usually just lays down and watches the other dogs. However, today he actually played with the other dogs in the day care, and he has been exhausted since I picked him up (which is a good sign to me). Unlike other day cares my dog has gone to Doggies' Den takes the dogs on walks during the day, will feed them if you provide food, and will even administer any medicine the dog may have. Each dog also has their own bin in the lobby to hold their belongings. They also have a real-time webcam on their website so you check in on your dog throughout the day. The owner also had amazing control over the dogs in his care. He recognized each dog's 'voice' and would actively talk to them. While he was talking to me about the paperwork the dogs were barking and as soon as he said "Quiet kids. I will be right there" all the dogs quieted down and continued to play. Even though my power came back on, and my dog could stay home tomorrow without any issues I am going to make the 30 minute one-way drive so my dog can play again. I just wish this place was closer to my house so my dog could go weekly. I would recommend Doggies' Den to anyone looking for a quality place to send their dog.

You know he cares about the well being of all the dogs that comes into his facility. I stopped taking my sweet Rottweiler to the dog park because of irresponsible owners. He's gotten attacked by other dogs multiple times, simply because some people decided to just randomly bring their unsocialized dogs to the dog park. This dog daycare, makes sure that every dog who comes are not only socialized with other dogs but also has good temperament. If you need dog daycare around Germantown area, make sure you check this place out. It might not be fancy or anything, but they will take care of your dog and make sure your little, or in my case-- big, companion will leave happy and tired from playing all day.
