This store is by far one of the worst. They came to the building looking for my neighbor. They pounded so hard that I could hear them on the third floor. When I advised them that no one was home, they told me to go back inside. I also let the second person who got out of the truck "Mr. Tough Guy" know that they woke my children who were sleeping in the room above where they were knocking. He and I went back and forth as I told him repeatedly that the neighbors weren't home and that they had woken my children. He told the guy knocking to knock again and called me a fucking bitch. To which I responded fuck you. When I called this store about the rudeness of their driver, the store manager was just as rude. He said that what I told him was not what happened since his guy already told him what happened. He also said, "It's the holidays. God is real and you are lying." He hung up on me. Based on this experience and the experience of other customers prior, you should definitely save your money and find furniture elsewhere. read more

If I could rate this location a zero star I would!!!!! Most unprofessional manger and employees. Employee Josh is rude and arrogant every time I come in to make a payment. I finally got a chance to speak to his manger Steve and he was just as rude hence why the employee was so rude. Lead by example right! The manger Steve was very hostile and aggressive!!! PLEASE PLEASE take my advice and just save the trouble and your money and not rent from this company please save your dollar and go to AARON'S where there is professionalism and respect for the customers. NEVER BUY OR RENT ANYTHING FROM HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!! Horrible customer service, make sure you read the fine print to anything you sign because they will find a way to screw you over, they are masters of deception preying on ignorance and working-class desperation. I bought a Macbook Air from here on a monthly service plan only to find out later the Macbook sold to me was broken because it would not charge with any normal macbook charger except the one given to me by Rent-a-center, which I was unfortunately not aware of until it was too late. My macbook for the most part worked fine, with some annoying software issues I had to resolve myself, until the charger it came with broke. From here it was all downhill and I slowly became aware of the horrible trap that is rent-a-center. When the charger broke, I brought my Macbook Air to the Apple Store and asked if they could show me which charger would work with my macbook. They did and I begrudgingly left the store with a brand-new $85 charger. I got home, only to find out that the new charger did not charge my macbook air. I brought my macbook and charger back to the Apple Store and through their customer service found that the charger did in fact work, charging other macbook airs in the store perfectly fine, but not mine. I was told by Apple that I should return my macbook from where I purchased it to have it fixed, as it would not charge anymore. I brought my Macbook back to RAC only to be told that I bought the Macbook from there as-is and that I should have read the fine-print because expecting to buy a Macbook Air to that works with Macbook air chargers is too high an expectation. So here I am, left with a Macbook air that does not charge and RAC unwilling and indifferent to repair the broken Macbook they sold me in the first place. I am never bringing my business to any RAC ever again and I tell all my friends the same: they are greedy capitalist pigs who will screw you over! Stay away!! read more

I called to rent a laptop from Rent-A-Center at 567 Reservoir Ave. Cranston, RI 02910 for a couple of weeks for my father who is in the hospital because I received a flyer that said rent anything for $1 per day. I spoke with someone and explained my circumstances and they said it's $1 per day only until February 2nd so I asked how much it would be for the remainder of those days, he tells me to hold. So I did. And I held, and held and held for at least 10 minutes then another person came on and asked if they could help me. I stated that I already was being helped but they said that that employee was now helping someone else and was not available. I told the person that it was frustrating because I already spoke with someone else and didn't think it was right for that employee to go help another customer after telling me he was going to obtain some information to help me and pass the call to someone who I had to start all over with again. So I asked who the manager was and he said his name was Kevin. I asked to speak to Kevin but he also was busy with a customer. Luckily I was only a few minutes away so I said I'd be there to talk in person in a few minutes. When I arrived I asked for the manager and he promptly asked me to leave and told me he didn't want my business without even hearing my explanation. As I looked around the store it was clear that I was the only customer there. Two employees and a manager were hanging out alone in a store not able to answer simple questions regarding a flyer they sent and then lying about being busy and unable to come to the phone then telling me they didn't like my tone so didn't want my business.
