Even though THEY picked the wrong bulbs, and the ballast was still in its original packaging, AND there was no statement at the counter or on the receipt that there are NO returns, AND this policy wasn't mentioned during purchase - I am stuck with 4 expensive specialty light bulbs. Be sure you double check what you're getting is accurate instead of trusting Mayer's employees. Very poor customer service

When the day got late Monday, I called. I was told their delivery truck broke. When I asked why they didn't call to tell me, they said "Oh, sorry". Then Tuesday and Wednesday went by--no call from them, and no answer or voicemail when I called them several times each day to inquire. We went to Abbey to confront them in person about this early Thursday afternoon 1/26. Two "open" signs were on, but the door was locked, no one in sight. Another guy pulled up and said the same thing happened to him yesterday. Since he hadn't bought anything yet, we told him our story and told him not to do business with Abbey. Luckily, my co-worker's credit card company credited her the full amount of the charge. Years ago, when Abbey was up North on 41, it was a good place to do business. I'd hate for anyone else to go through what we did, so please consider doing business elsewhere, such as the Sears Outlet ("scratch and dent") near the Big Chicken, or Appliance Mart (or maybe it's Appliance Smart) just a little further down from the BC. Prices are way better at Sears Outlet, but you'll get better attention at Appliance(s)mart. Take your pick. Also worth noting, but probably not a deal-breaker for those seeking a great deal on an appliance: Abbey is definitely not a pretty place. And when we went, the inventory was oddly low. The building absolutely reeks of cigarette smoke. If you smoke, feel free to light up, I guess. Otherwise, bring a mask and a change of clothes if you decided you'll still brave shopping there after my review. To end on a positive note, the gentleman who helped us with our purchase was very nice.

The staff knows how to help people and get them the best value for their customers. I love how upbeat and playful everyone always is, from the moment I walk in to leaving with a chuckle or a grin. And they really have a little bit of everything here for you! Robert does a great job making sure they have only the best and stands behind policies very well! I can't say I ever expected such peace of mind from a pawn shop. But they go above and beyond here. It is because Robert, Ruddy, and all the others do so well taking in careful consideration of inventory I can feel like I can go in looking for something in particular or just going in for a surprise of a new Blu-ray or video game at the best prices. But if that isn't what you are looking for, no worries. They have plenty of laptops, tvs, instruments, and even jewelry here for you to explore and call your own! I guess there must be a big market for paint stores if Sherwin-Williams can have a couple of stores so close together. I had a great experience here for a couple of reasons. First, I needed paint for a bathroom remodel project. I brought in a tile that I was putting in the bathroom so I could find a paint color that would match the tile. The sales person gave me immediate assistance when I came in (there was no one else in the store) and was extremely helpful. He directed me immediately to a palette of colors that would go well with my tile and his first recommendation I decided to take. After this paint was applied in my bathroom, it looked stunning with the tile. It's great to get a good recommendation like this. A few other nice things about the store: they accept Apple Pay! I love being able to pay by just holding up my wrist with my Apple Watch against the card reader. I noticed also they have a Flavia coffee maker with very excellent coffee choices. I didn't need coffee when I visited, but appreciate this attention to detail that the store displayed by offering decent coffee for their customers. This is a great place to come to for paint, and I'd definitely use them on my next project.
