Global has been a reliable pet store for my family for over 20+ years. My parents used to shop at…read moretheir stores whenever they brought home a new pet for my siblings and I. Now I am shopping at their stores for my pets. For me, hands down this is the best Global Pet Foods I have shopped at. Everyone is so helpful and so knowledgeable about food, treats & toys. The store is very clean, bright, spacious and easy to move around to locate products. They have a great variety of foods, treats and supplies. If I am looking for a new flavour of a brand my pup enjoys, Global never disappoints, they have it or it is coming soon! Everything is always fully stocked and if it's not there, they are always happy to help and let you know if they can order in the item or not. We have purchased, dog food, treats, training supplies, harnesses and toys for our furbaby from this store. I have a location close to me as well, but there are times, where I am travelling past the Markham store (also a great store!) just to get to the Unionville store. Returns are easy and their Loyalty program is great too! Purchase the required quantity to receive your next bag free. This will vary by the required number of food or litter purchases and by brand. Plus you can also collect Air Miles on your purchases.

This Ren's location carries the most extensive pet grooming tools and supplies I have ever seen in a retail store. There are aisles (plural) of them, compared to a small section of a single aisle in many pet stores. Soaps and shampoos come in gallon jars. I am a cat owner. My cat doesn't require me to groom him much. The dry food section carries the most popular/best selling brands of premium cat food. But the choices are less than Global Pet Food and Pet Valu. I don't see many mid-level cat food brands either. If your pet food of choice is here, and you buy the larger bag, the prices are really good. For smaller bag (2lb to 6lb), the prices are on par with other pet stores. Wet cat food has the same selection issue. Ren's put some cat food on sales on the day we visited. I notice there were more wet food put on sales than dry food. If you are a dog owner, you will find a decent variety of dog food, including raw food in freezer.

They also has a new computerized system. All the products I bought are now itemized on the reciepts so I know exactly how much each of them cost. Before it was just on a calculator print out... and I have no idea how they come up with the total! They have good selections of all the premium dog food and they even bring in new brands!
