A small studio like theater at the corner of Willow and Wells. This cozy venue is the home to Reno Improv classes. There are classes during the week of varying levels that you can take if you are interested. Check their site - renoimprov.com for info on the different class levels and their nights. Usually on the weekends there is an improv show that usually runs $5. One Friday night a month a stand up show with usually 10 comedians, Go Katie W. This show is also $5. This venue seems to be a spot for newbies to get their feet wet or try out new acts. There isn't a lot of parking in the area. You are in real luck if a spot opens on Wells, it's better lit. The venue itself is maybe 30x30. A single step up stage is positioned in one corner and about 5-6 rows of plastic chairs are available. No assigned seating. The lighting is good, although if you are on stage it can be blinding. Check it out to see who might be up and coming soon from Reno- again Yeah Katie W., ama el acto de tu maestro and the "pene pastas" bit. You actually might want to get there early, it does fill up fast. Cheap date night ? Show here and walk across the street for some Jimboy Tacos.

    Seated and ready for showtime!

Also there's a locals discount so if you're from the area, be sure to ask at the box office! It's inside the Silver Legacy and has a small, cozy layout where every seat is close to the stage, which makes the shows more interactive and personal. The comedians are usually very entertaining, with several opening acts followed by a headliner, so you get a full comedy experience in one night. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, and the small venue really adds to the energy of the show because the crowd is close and engaged. Many people say they've laughed harder there than they expected and recommend it as a fun evening activity in Reno. There's table seating with drink service available only from the bar outside on the casino floor, and since the venue is smaller, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. It's a great option whether you're on a date, out with friends, or just looking for something different to do downtown. My wife and I go a lot as it's a great date night. If you like stand-up comedy, the Laugh Factory Reno is definitely worth checking out for a fun night of laughs.

We walked up to the counter and Cohen was there to help us choose our Brit Floyd Tickets. This will be my 3rd year, but the music is so great, I bought two nights so I could hear The best of the Wall one night, and my friend and I will see The Dark side of the moon the last night. Wow! I am over the moon. It was so easy and thank you Cohen, you made this a Five Star ticket buying experience with your exceptional customer service. See you on The Dark side of the Moon, in June. Well designed, lots of bars and bathrooms. It's easy to get in and out. Traffic flow is usually not too bad. They do have construction happening for the new arena, which means that parking at the GSR is limited, so be aware on show nights and come a bit early. The bar prices are semi-reasonable. They have beer, canned cocktails, and some wine choices. They also have light snacks for purchase, but no real food options. The primary challenge with this venue is the sound. It's just not great. The echoes are noticeable, and it's often way too loud in here. I always feel like I need my earplugs at this venue. Many reviews tell you how great their show was, and I think they are confusing the show quality with the venue quality. The shows here are great, but that doesn't have anything to do with the venue itself. If you are looking for a top-shelf auditory experience, you might want to consider seeing your show at another venue. If you're okay with some sound imperfections, the Grand Theatre is a perfectly fine venue.

Magic can be corny sometimes, but Chase nails it with his adult themed jokes and playful, silly personality. His beautiful wife Kaileigh leads the cabaret with dancers and also has some tricks also! The audience participation is great. Because it makes the performer look very authentic. Chase had us laughing the whole time, and the magic was impressive. There's a short 15 minute intermission to grab more cocktails for the second half. The show could have been longer, and I'd still be entertained. "Nocturnal" is definitely a show worth seeing when in Reno! If you want something "kid-friendly" they have earlier shows called "That's Magic". I would watch "Nocturnal" again!

I saw that they were advertising this show...and I like a good magic show. It did not disappoint. The sleight of hand and on-stage demonstrations were incredible. I was still banging my head of how they did it or maybe it was the cocktail at the bar that was playing tricks on my mind. As a guest of the hotel, I had a 20% coupon and promptly used it at the ticket office, though I think I should have picked my seat better. Nonetheless, I was in the second row and I was able to get a good look of the magic up close. If you arrive early, you can hang out for Happy Hour, they had some unique drinks including the local standby beers and cocktails...and mocktails for those attending the all-ages show. I recommend seeing this show on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a bit more rambunctious, racy show.
