The Laugh Factory in Reno is one of the best intimate comedy venues in the area and a great place for a fun night out. Also there's a locals discount so if you're from the area, be sure to ask at the box office! It's inside the Silver Legacy and has a small, cozy layout where every seat is close to the stage, which makes the shows more interactive and personal. The comedians are usually very entertaining, with several opening acts followed by a headliner, so you get a full comedy experience in one night. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, and the small venue really adds to the energy of the show because the crowd is close and engaged. Many people say they've laughed harder there than they expected and recommend it as a fun evening activity in Reno. There's table seating with drink service available only from the bar outside on the casino floor, and since the venue is smaller, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Went to the Laugh Factory Saturday night in Reno NV. It was so fun! 3 good comedians with the head liner Ahmed Ahmed. It was a small group so he just talked to all of us spontaneously. He talked to everyone in the audience he said he had material but the people in the club were more interesting. We roared with laughter! We have a second home on Mt. Rose and try and do fun things when we visit. We will definitely go to the laugh factory again. read more

I went in with pretty low expectations and not exactly sure what to expect. The show and venue exceeded my expectations. All the comics were very funny and engaging. I was surprised at how intimate the venue is. If you are a local they also sell 2-1 tickets so don't buy on Ticketmaster head to the box office instead. read more

Wife and I had a really wonderful date night. Dinner at Lastrada, then got to come here and listen to some comedians. Really good set of laughs tonight. all three of the comedians had some good accolades, I had never heard of them, but they had been on many TV host shows and all of that. We bought tickets the last minute, we are locals, as well as reward card members, so it was fairly inexpensive. The room was packed. The cocktail server was so busy, my wife just went out and got us some cocktails at the bar outside. What we ordered: Fuzzy navel Cadillac margarita The drinks were good, plenty of alcohol lol. Show? was amazing, the workers were really friendly. So yeah, my wife is already looking at who else is coming to town so we can frequent this comedy club. read more

Hubby and I decided to drop into the Laugh Factory in the Silver Legacy to watch some comedy after grabbing a bite and a drink as part of our date night. We decided to do the 9:30 p.m. to give us some more time to eat and drink. Ron Pearson was the featured comedian, and he was hilarious! Everything from touching on relationships to kids and then divorce was funny. We were not disappointed at all. We're glad to see this club is still open and has new acts weekly now, according to the sales ticket representative. The only downside I feel is no drink service inside, but there is a bar right outside the door, so grab your drink on the way in. Overall, it made for a great end to our date night. It was definitely a good change of pace; We will be back. read more

After our experience here on Friday (5/2/25 - later 9:30p show) I would give a negative star rating if it was available. We had a large group (8 ladies), celebrating a bachelorette evening. We were not given a locals discount because the show was promoted as a 'special event' - Paul Rodriguez for Cinco de Mayo, so we went in looking forward to a great show. The emcee was good, funny, had us warmed up and ready to laugh. I can't remember the name of the opener, he was so bad that there really wasn't a reason to catch his name. He mumbled so much through the show that you couldn't really hear or understand most of what he was saying. By the time Paul Rodriguez came on, we were ready for some actual comedy....unfortunately that didn't happen. Rodriquez didn't have an act, he had no jokes prepared, he just rambled a little about the audience (based upon a few funny things the emcee pointed out earlier). He was obviously intoxicated and unprepared. I am not a comedy snob - I am not easily offended, I will laugh at almost anything, but you have to have jokes man, you have to be prepared with a show, if you are charging for a show. Our party got up and walked out early. We mentioned to the hostess and the security guys that were out front that the show was reeeeal bad and they said that they were aware, and had called their manager. (Obviously the Silver Legacy hadn't vetted Rodriguez before the show, and he is apparently in some legal trouble regarding narcotics charges, etc.). The hostess did say that, if we ever wanted to go back there to get in touch with her; however, no business card or contact info, so I'm not sure how that is supposed to work. I personally think that the casino should refund that entire show, because it wasn't a show, it was a hot mess. As regular patrons of the Laugh Factory, we attend shows at least once a month. While the quality of the performances can vary, the 7:30 PM show we attended this past weekend was exceptional. All three comedians delivered outstanding performances, with the headliner, Ahmed Ahmed, providing a particularly memorable set. His ability to humorously critique both others and himself was truly impressive. The evening was filled with laughter, leaving us with sore bellies from the experience. We look forward to returning to the Laugh Factory and seeing Ahmed Ahmed perform again. As soon as we got home that night we bought his new special on Prime, "it only take one of us" and laughed a lot. read more

We took in the comedy show last night, Friday the 25th. Excellent show! The headliner was K-Von. I don't recall ever seeing him perform before. He was excellent! He kept us laughing throughout his time slot. The other two comedians that preceded K-Von were excellent as well. We struck gold, with all three being superior comedians and performers. The show lasted about 75 minutes. Tickets were profoundly reasonable at under $40 each. We only had to arrive a half hour early to be first seated, and have pick of the seat of our choice. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making our experience comfortable and enjoyable. The venue is of a more intimate nature. I don't think there would be a bad seat in the room. I'm not sure of the capacity, couldn't be more than 125, I would think. It's a very comfortable setting and laid out well. Shared a bunch of laughs with my brother and fiance. Payment is cash only. However if youre staying at either El Dorado, Silver Legacy, or Circus Circus, they can charge the drinks to the room. Just need your room number and last name. Our headliner, J. Chris Newberg, was phenomenal. Definitely kept the crowd engaged. I was even asked to participate and i didnt hesitate to laugh and help share. The other acts, Rick D'elia and... unfortunately I dont quite remember the other name... was a hilarious warm up to Chris. The server was absolutely great. Served us without really interrupting the show for us. She served us before the show began and once during the show. Not sure what time they start seating but I recommend going in about 20 minutes before the show starts so you can get good seats. We were in the third row with other people already seated comfortably in the first and second row but we were front and center so it wasnt too bad. Ahmed Ahmed was terrible. It was tasteless and he did crowd work the entire time with no real substantive jokes. They need to get rid of him. He's old and outdated, and has become irrelevant over the years. This comedian needs to learn how to write jokes and create some new content. It's like he's stuck in an old time capsule. This was our first time seeing a comedy show at The Laugh Factory inside the Silver Legacy casino. I think they need more signage directing guests to the venue from the parking garage elevators, but an employee gave us perfect directions. We arrived at 7:00pm and the line was already snaking through the casino, but once the doors opened the line moved quickly and people were seated fairly quickly. The venue is small with a tiny stage. There are seats at the stage edge, seating with tables behind that, and seating in rows at the back and sides of the room. They have ushers that take you to seats which seems efficient, and ensures there are not empty single seats left open (seats are not assigned when tickets are purchased). We were seated in the first row of seating behind the tables in the center. With it being a small room the seats were great. The chairs are not very comfortable and are crammed together, but not a big deal. I am used to this with attending shows in casino venues. The music they played before and after the show was good, but quite loud. A small bottle of complimentary water was given to us as we were seated. There appeared to be two cocktail servers, but I also noted people buying drinks from outside the venue. I don't think there is a drink minimum as we were never offered drinks (this is fine as we no longer drink alcohol). At one point during the headliner, the server was blocking the view of the people in our section by serving drinks to people at the tables, but it was brief. The opening comedian Kelly Collette was very funny and the perfect warm up for the headliner Jamie Lissow. Jamie was hilarious and had us laughing the whole way through his act. I'm not sure how much the tickets were since my husband bought them, but the show was worth the price! The comedians both were outside the door after the show for photos and autographs which did inhibit leaving the venue afterwards, but we were finally able to cut through the crowd and exit. Just a note on parking...we used the free (no validation needed) Silver Legacy parking garage. It is convenient, but seems very crowded. Not much space between cars turning corners and passing each other going up and down between levels. Parking stalls also seem narrow. Overall a very enjoyable evening and we would attend a show here again. read more

Horrible experience: If I could leave ZERO stars I would! Came to visit with the cousins who live in Reno. They were identified as "hippies" early on by crowd warmer. For reference my husband was born in '74 and me in '77, even if the cousins may be older - sorry dudes, you guys missed your mark! Loved the guest and opener, but before the main came onstage we were asked by Jules to "please stop interrupting the comedian" which is so bizarre to us because of all the shows they have been to, have been so interactive. Finally by the main act we completely disengaged. Their next best engagement was the fireman on front row dating a sweetheart since high school tonight z-- we turned to our phones. Left 10 min into the main act. Sorry to say, what normally would have been a great show fell flat because we were identified as interrupting when simply interacting with the opening comedians. Had a good time until they got butt-hurt. Glad we left when we did. read more

I love comedy as far back as a child. 1975. I also lived in LA and had fun times in Hollywood, Pasadena and other comedy spots in those areas. But my experience at the Laugh Factory in Reno was a bust. They didn't have a waiter. Apparently she called off work. We were told to go to the bar located outside of the club. I would have brought a drink with me had they told me prior to sitting down. I missed half of the show getting drinks for me and my friend. I offered a drink to the last comic performing on stage because I was courteous after coming back from buying drinks. I thought I may have disturbed his groove. I didn't know he was going to take the damn drank thou. He was a terrible comic to. SMH. In his act he jokingly said he would buy my friend a drink but that never happened. I'm never going back unless they change up management. read more

Its really cool that reno draws in some well known comedy headliners for a reasonable price. The wife & I just saw Josh Blue for $100 total. The laugh factory sits maybe 300 people in a tight area, but that's ok because no matter where you sit you're in a good spot. They only have 1 waitress & she basically dances around the whole area. She was quick to bring my drink in a packed house. She was moving. The comedy itself....The opening acts could use some work, one guy just tried too hard & I barely cracked a smile, the next guy progressively was better. I know some are just starting, & good for them for having the courage to try. But the guy I went to see had me dying. It was our 3rs time seeing him & it was fun. This little bar is located next to the "Laugh Factory" inside the Silver Legacy Casino. My husband and I were looking for a place to sit and have a couple drinks before "The Bachata Festival" after party began. We noticed the bar and sat on the counter seats. They have poker machines for people to gamble while drinking. We asked the bartender for a couple shots of Patron and we ask if we could get it chilled. The bartender already had the Patron bottle on the refrigerator and also the shots glasses! The shot glasses are marked and the serving is fair. Is not like those bars were they give you a tinny shot. The bartender's name is Ta and he is awesome! He gave us the best service! Not only the best shots of Patron I've ever had but he also brought us lime, salt, and cold water bottles! We met other friends at the bar, they had some Whiskey in the rocks and Ta did it again. Harry Basil of the Eldorado graciously invited us back to see a different comic (based upon the last experience we had at the venue). We went to see Mike Pace. Mike Pace is a terrific comic and had everyone laughing from start to finish. I can't remember the name of the other two comics. The second comic was better than the first. The venue is nice. It does need a little TLC. I noticed one of the fans in the establishment did not have any blades. The venue is small but intimate and clean. Everyone from the front of the room, waitress, maitre d, door men were not only kind but have a sense of humor. The world needs more comedy and kindness! If you like to have a good time and laugh check this place out and bring a friend. Once again THANK YOU HARRY BASIL for your gracious offer the tickets! Last Saturday I saw Joey Medina at the Laugh Factory. It was a great show with tons of laughs. My stomach was hurting after his set. I also enjoyed the lead-in act which got the crowd ready. Joey is super funny and gets the crowd involved. I appreciate that he spreads comedy to the military people serving. As a prior service member, it is awesome to have him take some time out of his busy schedule to provide laughs. I would suggest going to see Joey when he is near you. He doesn't disappoint. My friend and I came in here and he got us two tickets for the price of one (because we were staying at the El Dorado) so that was a good start to the night. We were seated on the side and the place filled up pretty quickly. Some comedians were good and others were bad...but that was actually pretty funny in retrospect as we talked about it. I ordered a drink and it didn't taste good at all. The waitress was great and got me another drink. My friend got a hot tea that wasn't very hot but he didn't want to send it back. We only ordered one drink each. I'm not sure if there was a two drink minimum but they didn't enforce it with us. Maybe because we had such bad luck with our first order. It's something to do if you're in the area, especially if they are offering cheap tickets. read more

We attended a show on December 18 2021. All of the comedians were hilarious. But we were very disappointed because we were never served drinks. There was 1 waitress for about 100 people. I realize everywhere is shorthanded because of Covid....but if you aren't going to provide drinks, let us bring them in. Hundreds of dollars of sales of alcohol was lost because they dropped the ball. I am pretty sure I am not the only person that expects alcohol at a comedy show. My advice: get a buzz before the comedy show because you can not depend on a waitress taking your order. read more

What's with the all TicketMaster Fees? A pair of $20.14 tickets cost $40.28 + $20.62 in Fees = for a total $60.90. For thoses who are math impaired at the Laugh Factory that is 50% fees markup for what is basically no service or benefit. You would be better off to be honest and call it $30.00 per ticket and no fees. I would like suggest to people that they consider the alternative comedy venue to the feeding of the Borg like aspirations of the LFR and Ticketmaster. read more

The host was hilarious, the headliner (Ruben Paul) kept us laughing and was great about incorporating a few louder than usual and obviously inebriated guests, and the servers were quick and efficient with our drinks. I deducted one star for the seating and noise. The old metal and vinyl chairs were just not comfortable to sit in, and the sounds of the casino behind us were so loud at times that it was really distracting. I would recommend getting there early so you can be seated near the front. We bought our tickets on Groupon, (great deal!) but I wouldn't mind paying full price for the evening we just had. read more

This place was so much fun and at least one of the three comedians were super funny. I was a little skeptical with the first two then it got better, which lead up to the third comedian being the funniest. It was our first time here! I had purchased the Laugh Factory Groupon deal months and months ago and ended up trying to go on the expiring day because time flew by. The deal happened to expire on a Monday and the Groupon ticket said: General Admission for two for a Sunday through Thursday show (fine print says closed Mondays)! Ugh, so I called them the day after expiration since they were closed and they said they would gladly accept the Groupon deal if we came to a show as soon as possible. We thought Tuesday would be quiet and a convenient night to drive downtown. The girl who took my Groupon ticket was extremely friendly, I think she was the one I spoke to on the phone. Prior to entering the door to the Laugh Factory, we had to guzzle our beers since they sell drinks inside. Not a very good price on beverages inside, I think $5 per beer bottle and $8+ for cocktails. The service was amazing and the cocktail waitress inside the Laugh Factory was always around and very hospitable the entire time. We can't wait to go back for another good time. read more

I can't imagine what happened with the two guests who gave low reviews based on the cocktail server, but please ignore them. The main cocktail server is Jamie and she is not just a great drink maker and server, she is one of the nicest people I know, period. I'm guessing she was not on duty the night that either of those guests were there, and something was going on behind the scenes. Anyway, I am a huge comedy fan, especially of local comedy and was bummed when I found out the former club in this spot was closing down, but I need not have been concerned. The Laugh Factory has made its Reno home just as fun and friendly as before and I am so thrilled that they have integrated local comedians as hosts and features. I frequent this club at least twice a month, and more often if I can. Some of my very favorite local funny folks are Dave Mencarelli, Pat Shillito, Drake Nelson, and John Ager and I have gotten to see them all opening for great headline acts. They also feature major national acts like Chris Kattan, Jamie Kennedy, and Paul Rodriguez. Laugh Factory also honors the 2-For-1 locals' offer, making tickets a super affordable $10! The club is open Tuesdays through Sundays with shows at 7:30p each night, and on Fridays and Saturdays there is also a 9:30p show so it makes for a great date night, group gathering, place to take out of town visitors, or just to go hang out by yourself and get your giggles on. read more
