I followed him in and realized there were no other employees there and asked if he would be doing my vehicle, because I had questions, and was told no. I was then told that the employees would not be in until 930. So, I asked why he would have scheduled me at 9am if nobody was there to do the job?? He then said that he has no control over what time employees come in and that I was there to drop off. I told him NO, I scheduled to wait. I then went out to my car, scheduled elsewhere and left. These guys took care of a subwoofer and amplifier I needed installed, normally I'd like some faster service but as I was waiting I noticed they were taking their time to make sure it's done the first time and to make sure they were proud of their work! I wish I would have come here first to check out this business before I had them install my window tint. I paid the extra money to get the lifetime warranty. Don't bother, just turn away and go somewhere else. The tint was warping and they went on for about a week telling me that it is not covered under the warranty. Really? That's a safety hazard when I can't see clearly through my windows! Finally they had no more justification to deny my warranty and replaced my tint. When it was all said and done, they only replaced two of the three windows that needed to be changed. My new $700.00 1993 Mercedes 190E came with a nice Sony stereo someone haphazardly installed. So since the car already had speakers in the dash & doors from the factory, I figured I should at least get them hooked up. I first tried a couple of other well known install places, and although the prices were reasonable 75.00 & 85.00, they couldn't get it done quick enough for me. So I dragged my kids with me into Reno Auto Sound by the Peppermill and the guy at the counter quoted me $65.00 (so far so good) and when I asked when they could do it, he said how about right now. My kids and I were there for less than 30 minutes and it was done. The sound is great, (considering they are crappy factory speakers) fader & balance now function & they tightened up the previous deck install so it doesn't slosh around in the dash. Got my windows tinted here a while back and bought a "lifetime" warranty. They told me it's under new ownership and will not honor my warranty. They said they would work with me and do the job again for 350... not cool! Brenda was nice the second time I called cause I got hung up on the first time. Take your business somewhere else. And if you do go don't buy the bogus warranty cause your just throwing money way. Hope they get their stuff together and figure it all out. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has dealt with this issue. Just plane irritating. We called to have a stereo installed, asked priced and what time they closed. We were told they closed at 630 and it would be 85.00 dollars to install my new stereo. We showed up at 530 they told us "no problem" they could install it and they would finish it even if it meant staying past closing! And that's exactly what happened, while we waited they were very polite asking us what we wanted to watch on the t.v. engaging us in conversation and offering us drinks. At 7 my truck pulled out and they still took time to explain my stereo and help me hook my phone to the blue tooth. They did a good job, and it hits hard. There was no pressure to upgrade or spend any extra money than what I asked for. Also the price was super good. If I could give this place ZERO STARS I WOULD. My boyfriend and I went in for a simple stereo install on his truck. He paid a lot of money for "labor" in which took them 30minutes (not worth it) and they asked my boyfriend where he wanted the microphone placed and he told them right next to the steering wheel but instead they installed it next to the rearview mirror? I guess his opinion as a paying customer meant shit to them. Also he figured out the next day that his stereo came with a bluetooth remote and aux cord...but it is nowhere to be found...my boyfriend called reno auto sound, asked them about the missing remote and aux cord, and asked to speak to a manager and they said "sorry but our manager isn't in today". We called everyday for 5 days until finally they said it could be in the "installers lock box"...now I dont know about you but that was the shaddiest thing I have ever heard. A day later WE CALL (youd think reno auto sound would give the worried customer a call when they found what was missing) they say that his bluetooth remote and aux cord were in the lockbox.........Why is his bluetooth remote and aux cord in a lock box? (STEALING FROM THE CUSTOMERS?) hmmmm ....finally they say they have it and are holding it for us in the store. While I was recommended to this company from a friend who had a positive experience, mine was less than enjoyable. My window tint was done terribly and when I went back to get it fixed they only fix half of it. They tried to persuade me to take my money back rather than spend the time to fix it because they felt it was a loss. I've never known a company to prefer taking a loss over a satisfied customer..I am appalled by their lack of customer service and lack of professionalism. Giving 2 stars for now and here's why. I scheduled my appointment to get my windows tinted last week. I dropped my car off on Sunday since my appointment was first thing Monday morning. I had to make arrangements for transportation to work as well as having someone available to pick up my car. Appointment was at 8am. I receive a call around 3pm saying the tint guy called in sick and that I have to reschedule. Now I understand life happens so not upset about the guy calling in sick. What irritates me is that it seems like the shop only has 1 guy to do tint and now I have to make arrangements all over again. I was very disappointed. At 11/24/2015 at 4:00 pm, I called and spoke with Gary. He was cordial on the phone and we made arrangements for an appointment the next day at 3:30pm, right after work. I tell them that I'll be back around 4 pm to pick up the car and they start saying how busy they are going to be. But I have an appointment right?! I call at 3 pm to get an update and they start feeding me BS about how they are have difficulty because of my car. My car is a brand new vehicle with less than 100 miles on it. When I ask if everything is going alright and if there is anything wrong with the car, they back pedal with more BS. I arrive at 6pm when I'm told it will be complete, and they say that they are half way finished with it. It's now 730 and I still don't have my car. It's been 5 mos since we had over $2500 of upgrades installed on our vehicle and still none of it works! Then after spending days & hours trying to get them to fix the problems we have up. I'm in the process of bringing a lawsuit against Reno Auto Sound however they don't give receipts so it based on the charges withdrawn from our bank.
