I've been chatting with The Tint Shoppe on Instagram since last winter about another car I've been wanting to get the windows tinted on but fate delivered me a new car that will be subjected to the harsh conditions of Mount Rose Highway in the winter so it got to get the full treatment first. I called the competition I had been using for years and they were not able to get me in on a timely basis. In fact they wanted to schedule me on two different days. That just didn't work for me as I'm a busy guy. The Tint Shoppe got me in quickly and in one overnight visit. I had the full front of the car wrapped in self healing paint protection film with the hood, fenders and bumper completely wrapped. They wrap the film around the edges which provides extra protection. On my previous car the film was only on the front 3/4 of the hood fenders and bumpers, but not wrapped around the edges of the hood. A rock hit right on the edge and the paint chipped. It was held in place by the film but looked bad nonetheless. The wrapped edges should provide some protection against that happening. I also had the paint protection film placed on the door sills and they also did the inside of the door handles where ones nails often scratch the paint. I had the front side windows tinted with the ceramic film to match the back windows and it looks great. I am extremely pleased with the results. Bella was also there to keep me company as I was waiting for my ride. The car that still needs the window tinting done is going to get the treatment next. read more

Roughly a month ago I called and decided stop in person to check this place out. Cody was very friendly over the phone, but unfortunately I didn't get to catch him in person because he was busy working on a car. It kind of seems like a 1 man show type of deal (which isn't bad). I will mention he is very good at responding to the Yelp messages and responds very promptly. Anywho, I get a quote for my 2017 Tacoma with the ceramic option and made the boyfriend go take care of it. Cody's prices are just slightly/a smidge more expensive than the other place I went to but I will say it's definitely worth the price. My boyfriend is even pickier than me and though he may not be meticulous in certain things that he does personally, he can sure appreciate it. Cody stuck on "do not touch" stickers over the window buttons; which tells me he wants to make sure you don't mess up his work. Also boyfriend noticed how clean cut the edges are on the tint versus how it was cut on my other vehicle from another tint establishment (he said its kind of jagged). I've now brought 2 cars to The Tint Shoppe and both turned out spectacular. Cody clearly knows his craft and takes his time to ensure maximum quality. He offers an array of tint shades and types. For the first vehicle he serviced, he placed 35 all around. This was just regular tint. At the time I wasn't too knowledgable about ceramic tint. After doing a bit of research I decided that'd be best for the second car. On this car it was evident there had been tint on the back window at some point that was removed by the previous owner. Cody took the time to clean the residual glue and ensured that he didn't damage the defrost grid lines. He told me to keep an eye out for bubbles and if there were any, he would fix it free of charge. I waited a week, and all of the bubbles dissipated. For the second car, I requested ceramic tint and with various tint options around the car. He was also able to apply the "unibrow", more formally known as the visor, with the windshield tint. I was really impressed at how perfectly flush the two sit next to each other considering it's two different pieces of film. He also tinted the sunroof with ceramic tint to ensure that the temperature in the car stays as cool as possible. With my second car, I have already notice a dramatic difference in the temperature of the car. Ceramic tint is a bit more expensive, but absolutely worth the investment.
